These guys and this song came around for me years after my Black Sabbath days and way before my MettalicA days. And also when Serenity was just a Kool sounding word with absolutely no meaning to me, But, i thank God that i know it's meaning now (even though i slip in and out of it...
I meant total tone of the song on my previous posting. Also, who are the 17 fucking pussies that dislike this song? It's Testament, not Justin Bieber. You 17 need to go to the pussy sections for your music.
This is not a sad song. It makes me want to keep fighting for my future, my education which is killing me because I'm not so smart, I have to compensate, work harder than others. But it's all the pain that gets me... the heart ackes. This music is like an aspirine to me. (I like this music).
@timotallgren I'm half way to finish my bachelor degree in mechatronical engineering. I grew up in Sweden, Portugal, Norway. Lived in China, Canada, England. So I'm full of culture. Greek, Chinese and "Viking" culture is 'da best.
This is Carl from yahoo answers. Thank you for your invitation. This music is extremely good. I'm a very honest person and I can be rude as hell. So I mean it, what a wonderful and beautiful music.
@irondeth2 But still it has one of Kirk Hammet's best solos that's why I had to include it. And it was recorded during the "long hair" era of Metallica so it still sometime gets grouped in with thrash even though the Black Album definitely isn't a true thrash album
Why aren't these guys popular? This is by far one of the best songs I've heard in a long time. It actually takes talent to play. If I could write something half as good as this I would be truly happy. I'd like to see these guys under most viewed on youtube some time soon.
@bkr1997 ac dc was good till bon scott died then brian johnson took it over and made the band sellouts of course they had a couple good albums back in black for those about to rock and razors edge
as for guns n roses they had so much potential but to much egos in the way
@QingLong90 I see where you are coming from here but I prefer people to listen to AC/DC and Guns n' Roses rather than pop. I don't think that they are considered commercial anymore as much as I wish they or Testament were. All we can hope for is that Rock and Metal will bounce back or at least not be forgotten over time. These hard working bands deserve that much... even AC/DC.
@DioIsTheBest Yours does too, you forgot an 'of the' before 'top', you forgot and 's' on comment, the comma shouldn't be there and 'english' should have a capital E. *Insert trollface here'.
@Mickthespud 1) english doesn't need a capital 'e'.
2) i actually i should have typed "rated" instead of raters, (cause it doesn't make any sense that way) but sometimes when you type too fast you type shit, and you don't even notice.
3) you're right about the 's' but just another mistype
4) there's no need for "of the". I said "both top rated comments" (corrected), thus no need for "of the".
I don't get why everyone is saying that Testament is underrated. I know a ton of people that know about them. I guess I just hangout with the right group of people then.
@ChargersrBA I am 38, and metal was thing back in the day for sure. New metal like Arch Enemy is amazing still. Children of Bodom. I also love industrial music.
@samfrompasingtime That is so true about metal being the biggest thing back then, not that i would know personally, but my friends talk about their memories from the mosh and partying all the time. It sound like the 80's would've been the perfect time for a metal head. There are still some great metal artists coming out and the old ones are still great.
@ChargersrBA Hip Hop is a cancer because they do not want musicians making money, so they hire these goons to ramble. Rap is ok, but this is not rap that we have today, it is hip hop and it sucks badly.

@hopper11995 i just heard this for the first time, i love it! and im 18 so i know what you mean, everybody our age is listening to generic crap about the same thing over and over again while this song is amazing and has meaning and purpose. but that crap is not and will not take over. good music is making a big comeback from people being tired of the same generic autotuned bullcrap of today.

Besides being an awesome song all around, it's also got one of my top 3 solos, too. Everything from about 3:16 is gold, but after about 3:45 it's awe-inspiring. Skolnick at his best.
12 people are fucking soulless! How can anyone not like this song? It has so much depth and feeling and love and soul. I miss music like this, few and far between...
