Why some people think Walt Disney is evil I have no clue, and tbh the themeparks that came after Disney isn't the same as what people get when they go to Disney.

Walt Disney was quoted as stating he wanted Disney World to be a place where anyone, and everyone can be happy. Then can someone, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, explain to me, why Disney Channel decided to aim it's programming to teenage girls?! They are literally going against an order from the boss!

@Ohmydayumboii not all the rooms at the contemp have computers.. some still did last i was there..they might be removing them all. and i think DVC members get free wifi... but all other guests still get charged $10/day of use. kinda silly really. but i just tether my iPhone to my laptop and surf.

Oh, I didn't have wifi. I used the in-room computer. It was free when I used it for internet. Paying for wi-fi IS ridiculous, though. But you know, it's Disney. You pay to drink, to park, to sleep, and probably to breathe, at some point.

Yeah. The quality of the furniture was a bit too Ikea for my taste considering it's a $300 a night room, but you know....the rooms are still aesthetically fantastic and the view is great. And they had free internet when I stayed there back in 2007 or so.

Nothing about Disney is evil. They make so many people's dreams come true. The money they take is spent adding to their park and donating to Make A Wish and the Disney foundation. They employ millions of people from all over the world and welcome people of every age, color, and orientation. There are very few places as wonderful and as GOOD as Disneyland is.

I recently saw another Disney commercial that shows a woman and her daughter going on a ride and all of the sudden the mom turns into a young girl, and the two of them run all over the park together. The message of course being that everyone has a little bit of kid still in them.

I loved that commercial because it reminded me of my mom and I.

you must not have had a preferred view room...the resorts around the seven seas lagoon (deluxe resorts) have views like that-- especially the grand floridian (which it looks like that's where the kid and his family were staying)

No room has a view like that - yes, some overlook the castle, but nothing that close with that full a view of the castle. Plus the slide the kid goes down is at the Port Orleans French Quarter resort...which is clearly not the same resort they are "staying" in.
