  • LUV it. I guess that PAX (passengers) won't 'get it' though. Sooo for all the PAX, this was a practice started by sups (supervisors, who don't fly btw) to spy on the best flight attendants in the industry.

  • I love Southwest, the cheap fares, survivability rate and planes that are relatively new. Why should I pay $300 for a 45 minute flight just so some over-the-hill FA can treat me like shit. Southwest is the Greyhound of the sky and it's what I can afford. GO SWA!!!

Not surprising. All to save time and fuel. Ask yourself, "Is this safe- for you- For the passengers?

  • pilots not following the company SOPs landing with tailwind greater than 5 knots when braking action is reported as "poor" is not authorized. Clearly in violation of company SOP. Who is this uneducated "ranter" now.

  • I've been with 3 different airlines and have been in the industry for 13 years. I've seen, read and witnessed the Southwest "WAY" of doing things first hand. SWA always looking for cheap gas even off the airport property. The facts speak for themselves, atis information, TOWER controller when I prompted for a wind check. I have not, nor will I ever work for SWA....Bunch of wild cowboys...."YEEEHAW, load'em BOYS"....MOOOOOO! MOOOOOO!

  • Burbank accident ...controlled descent? Proper technique with navaids tuned and set?  Landing at 182 knots? Landing with tailwind greater than 10 knots- I don't know how many aircraft makers certify A/C with tailwind component greater than 10 kts.

  • Every airline has made mistakes. As long as humans are behind the yoke, mistakes will happen. Your reference to SWA infers that this is a daily operation. Get real dude, just because you did not get hired at SWA and your making half of what you used to due to your union, look within yourself and your own "koolaid". Spending time on youtube trashing another airline is why the industry sucks so bad. People who just spend hours bitching and complaining. Heard of bid avoidance?

  • they did land at 182 knots, that the only factual bit of information you put on here. They did not land with more than 10knots tailwind and how would you know they did not have navaid properly set. See to prove your point you put in false information, just like a liberal. Your a joke!

  • Why do all the SWA accidents happen on the first leg at the beginning of the trip? Were they drinking the company Kool-Aid? Was researching the NTSB reports on Midway accident involving Joshua Woods-NTSB data is temporarily down.

  • When I say that I see this daily...I mean it. Landing on contaminated runways and especially short runways doesn't require a aerospace engineer to figure out that landing distances increase. pilot Nonflying forgeting to armed Thrust reversers landing distance increase by atleast 10%.

  • again, not true, there is no procedure where the non flying pilot arms thrust reversers, your a joke. READ NTSB, there was a mechanical problem with the reverser and the flying pilot could not pull them over the gate, the non flying pilot noticed and made a second attempt and was able to get the revers to max. Second you incompetent dude, if your refering to Auto breaks armed, they were, get your facts straight.

  • correction: winds aloft was tailwind of 20 knots as stated by capt. reported wind tailwind 6 kts.

You need to do a risk assessment about the way SWA flys....That's it, end of story. Hope, that I'll never hear another SWA sliding off airport property or the taxiway again.   • P.S. Hey Herb and/or Gary...fire the girl who took the time and expense to make this video...we don't need her or anyone who agrees with her. She may as well work for some other on-the-brink carrier (or maybe she did) anyway she obviously slipped through the cracks and needs to be fired.

  • There's nothing demeaning about making sure the customer service is what has always been expected on SWA. The best FA's out there will tell you it's not a hard job; it's fun! The drama queens will whine all day long about how incredibly hard they have it. Keep your paycheck coming by serving with a smile...duh!
