  • Nice strats. G is out of tune on both guitars? sharp

  • The Fralins sound amazing.Which do you prefer?Have you hear the Fralin split blade Pickups?Pure single coil tone with no hum!!

  • Nice little wing. Your face rminded me of Clapton... LOL

  • Merci, j'ai appris quelque chose! Là je réfléchis pour éventuellement améliorer ma CP 50'. Il ne lui manque pas grand chose mais... Ou à moins que je passe à autre-chose.

  • Salut Steph, "with stock pickups": ça signifie quoi STP?

  • @mibru2512 Bonjour Michel. Cela veut dire avec les micros d'origine.

  • this is my favourite signature guitar

    /watch?v=4NpdzHEP1V4&feature=related

  • The mk strat sounds best to my ears .. a tad darker and with more middle but nice highs too. Phatter :-) nice.

  • @hafstrat lol, that's odd you say that, as the pickups on the MK were designed with as little middle as they could. lots of high and bass.

  • Nice tones. My ear really picks up on the little high harmonics and nuances. The Johnson sounds so much more alive.

  • do you have to bass plate on the bridge pickups of the Lindy Fralins?

  • good job! nice tone!

  • i like the sparkly clean tone of the johnson strat but the fatness of the knopfler strat. IMO the jonhson strat is the most epic sounding of the two while the knopfler strat is the fattest sounding with lots of tone

  • Knopflers Strat wins...I like the fuller sound of the pickups...not as twangy as the Johnson Strat.

  • Yo man after the section in "G" it goes to A minor. You play an A major every time on this video. Drop that 3rd baby and it's gonna sound WORLDS better!!

  • @Gtrmaestro Thank you for your comment. Since the recording of this video, I now play a Am.

  • I love Knopflers strat Know matter what haha.

  • Hmm. I think the MK is best; It's pretty cheap, it got a great sound, and a nice C neck.

  • I really enjoy your videos - thanks so much for the great Strat comparisons. I think the Knopfler Strat is my favorite current production Fender.

  • NIce! Now i'm quite sure about buying MK!

  • Which neck do you prefer? The C-shaped neck of the MK sig or the V-shape neck of the EJ strat?

  • My favourite neck is the MK.

The C shape is perfect for me, and 7.25" radius with medium jumbo fret is a great combination.

The shape of the EJ is fine but the 12" radius is not my taste.

So,my EJ strat will be sell next week.

  • @Stratocasteph yes the mk sounds mor elike a strat I agree...has the hendriz vibe.

  • Middle and Bridge on MK...rules! I think that is a good match to what we listen on live Single Handed Sailor for eg!

Thank you for posting that very interesting video.Congratulations for the guitars and also for your playing..

  • you shoulda play some sultans of swing

  • Sultans what ? ;-)

    That's my favorite song.

  • how much is the 6a20 head? I looked on the website and it said 199 but theres no way thats right it must have been the wrong thing.

  • Bridge pickup on the EJ is a bit spiky. Nice axe though! MK is a beauty too! I guess the rosewood board balances out the tone nicely.

  • ton son est très beau ;)

si ton ampli est bien un kit weber, est ce que c'est compliqué a monter?

  • Je l'ai acheté monté en fait cet ampli.

A mon avis, il faut s'y connaître un minimum pour assembler un kit.

  • the EJ has a much sharper and glassy tone to me. while I think your MK has a rounder and more low end balanced sound. I prefer the former.

  • Thank you for your comment.

For this song, I think that the EJ is better, but I tend to prefer the MK as my number one guitar.

I'm thinking to change pick ups of the EJ, for something with mid scooped.

    Stéphane.

  • shhh....i think i hear the baby....

  • :-)

Baby was sleeping in her bedroom, so this is why the babyphone is behind me.

  • hahaha well that's just the tune to keep her sleepin' like a baby so-to-speak. Great playin' nonetheless.

  • Nice too see two great strats side by side there. I can hear little between the two, is there much difference in the feel of them? Great playing, I play Little Wing myself also on a Eric J (sunburst) - check out my channel to hear it. I have heard this played so many times, but i really like your style here although you do add a major third in on the A chord (original version would be an A minor) for some reason, but it's all good ... doesn't make it any worse, just different. Nice work.

  • Thank you for your comment.

The main feel's difference between these two guitars is the neck radius : 12" for the EJ, and 7.25" for the MK.
