It's just from one's lead pipe to the other's internals. They just put them together. The notes are sound are coming from the top's bell, nothing from the bottom.

Not to blow the spot but its just connecting one part of the tuning slide into the other trumpet that means the trumpet on the bottom is useless its just blowing throw the first part the valves on the bottom trumpet do nothing. But its pretty Awesome!!!

@Patbad73 If you want to play two notes at the same time, you play one note as normal; but "sing" the second. For instance, play an F, but sound an A above that with your vocal cords as you're playing.

It's tough and takes a lot of practice to get the balance & intonation right. There's such a small tonal range that you can do it in too because of vocal range and the amount of air needed to do it. It sounds really cool when done right...and crappy when I do it. lol.

@Patbad73 Not the way he has it. The air is only going into the top trumpet. I guess if you were to get out a welding torch, you could cut two trumpets to feed off of the the same air flow. You'd have to create a long Y-joint running from the mouthpiece to the tuning slide of each instrument.

Because of your embouchure, you would only be able to play notes within each range, but would definitely sound unique!

You could play 2/3rds of Bugler's Holiday yourself!! lol
