steven, great video, when will your new book be out approx.?? i bought your biogas books and plan on using some canadian cow manure to power my car...how much will the conversion cost me if i plan to use a 3600 psi tank for my methane?i wonder how much mileage i can get on a 3600 psi tank of methane from cow manure,i guess im also going to have to get a compressor to put the methane gas in the tank.keep up the great work steven,hopefully your book will come out soon so i can convert my car ASAP

Have you tried Hydrogen production using Gallium Aluminium alloy? Works and is cheap and Aluminium is an ideal energy carrier as it is light weight can be reused over and over, as can the Gallium. It is economical if using scrap Aluminium and using the Hydrogen produced to boost a less volitile fuel.

1. Anyone is stupid to carry around an oxygen molecule with your H2 (i.e. water). Damn stupid. 2. Gallium is $7000 a KG. 3. You have to have near 10% Gallium. 4. If you have to do the extreme containment to get back your extra valuable gallium, you might as use Mercury. it does the SAME thing, at less than 1% and is much cheaper. 5. go back and ready #1, anyone is damn stupid to carry around an oxygen molecule with their hydrogen. Indiana U should be ashamed for the 'gallium' press stuff.

Gallium seperates out quite easily from the Aluminium oxide and can be used over and over. So the Gallium is a one off cost. Mercury is very hazardous to handle and would be a poor substitute. Yes I guess carrying the Oxygen on board along with the extra weight of the gallium and the energy needed to melt/combine the two may also be a waste. Unless the heat of the reaction and combustion of Hydrogen boosted fuel can be used for this purpose, but then we are getting back to on board production.

yeah...right.. a $20,000 initial investment. If you have a system to contain the gallium, it will do the mercury as well...and you don't have to handle it..and know what is really hazardous? Ignorance and Stupdiity. Mercury is SAFELY used in light bulbs all around you. That's the amount we are talking about for aluminum. Why don't you quit talking about it and go buy some gallium and alloy it with aluminum and do it....

hho is not "pie in the sky" it's easy to produce at home using a car battery and electrolysis...the difficult bit is producing it efficiently onboard (from water) and getting it to your engine. There is no shortage of water!

Well..in my truck.. I have a lot of tanks because it is a DEMONSTRATION vehicle and demonstrates a lot of different methods, but why would you want some big tanks? Hum... well..its better than walking, and in a fuel emergency/fuel shortage/fuel what ever this might be our only fuel. In regular use? well you're hauling air most of the time.. why not haul a BIG HORRIBLE tank with USA natural gas and stop sending money to the OPEC SOB's that want to kill us. Thanks for writing...

true about the walking. However, some folks use the space as I do. How much hydrogen is produced and sent to the intake per minute? Is this Hydrogen only? What about the ECU? And a question. If Hydrogen can be put through a fuel cell to be converted into electricity and water. Could the same be done with Methane where the output is electricity and soda water?

yes...everything you said is true, but there are huge problems with fuel cells in vehicles, remember...we were suppose to have them in 2001... yeah right. fuel cell can NEVER compete with the IC engine, most diesels run more effecient than the vast majority of fuel cells, and in the detroit area we make over 10,000 200+HP engines A DAY. those engines can run on natural gas or hydrogen and do so at a better effecieny and cost 1/1000th the price of a fuel cell. fuel cells NOT for homes or cars.

Hydrogen fuel cells need very pure Hydrogen. using a Hydrogen source with just tiny impurities polutes the proton exchange membraine very quickly and cell looses efficiency and becomes useless.

..and that is one of the reasons why fuel cells suck big time. the engine can take ANY PURITY hydrogen. we make 10,000+ a day in just one area. Fuel cells are great for electronics, phones, laptops etc...but NO WAY can they EVER compete, let alone dominate the car or home market. A good IC engine on hydrogen has a higher effeciency than a PEM fuel cell.

Where do you buy the Hydrogen to fill your tank. We dont have any filling stations in Australia, doubt we ever will. Have you found Hydrogen embrittlement issues with your experiments? Do you think such issues can reduce practical engine reliablity or lifespan?

In your video demonstration you do not demonstrate how the balloon was filled and you do not demonstrate anything regarding the delivery system into the vehicle causes a lot of speculations that this is a staged set up. The balloon that is following behind your vehicle you mentioned that it is something else besides hydrogen and I thought other gases do not float

...demonstrate how to fill a balloon... hummm...boy..that's a hard one :) Balloon that is 'following' the vehicle is full of natural gas. Natural Gas (Methane) is lighter than air. Propane is heavier than air. Thanks for writing.

Regarding the fuels that you are using all of them are creating pollutants in the air except for the hydrogen gas. Have you tried HHO gas?

hho is 100% BS junk science. its STEAM and a fart of h2 that does NOTHING. Steam is from underhood heat and from the piss poor electrolysis. steam starves the fuel and air in the engine, derates the engine and makes you 'drive light'. You can do the SAME with a block of wood under the gas pedal to slow how fast you speed up and drive. A mouse fart of H2 in a hurricane does NOTHING. The O2 does NOTHING, there is more O2 by driving 10 feet UP a hill than you get from hho bs. thnx

LOL.. man.. I LIKE YOU. Maybe there is a better market for the balloon ... I like it. Honestly.. in the USA you would not have the 'balloon follow you'. It would be 'netted' on the roof, in the bed, same with Africa, BUT, it does work.  Driving 20mph down an open road in Africa with balloons is better than NOT driving at all. I am NOT just thinking "USA Suburbs". I am showing and demonstrating basics, then one step better, then another one better..etc... Thnx for writing
