redlining is fine if you have a rotary engine they dont redline till 26,000 rpm but are governed to 9 or 10 because the transmission can only take so much when you slam into the next gear

Hey Juice14G, I notice when you shift from 1st to 2nd there's juddering. Is this the same common problem with the clutch that I've read on mazda6 forums? And if it is, are you going to fix it?

no, this is with a new exedy racing clutch its the front tires spinning and making the car jump. This ended up breaking the engine mount and I got a CPE engine mount, problem solved.

Lol, what an ignorant comment. A check engine light could be one of hundreds of different things and in this case was probably either for the most common CELs from modding: P2187 or P0420.

@socut123 You do realize that his check engine is on probably cause of a dying/dead Oxygen censor right? The maker of this video would be sensible enough to take his car to the mechanic if there was a problem. Seeing as how this video was made, it's obvious there was no immediate problem.

And by the way, yes, redlining the engine is bad, but it's not something that will make the check engine come on. IF you rev up to redline and hold it there, that's bad.

If you redline the RPMs like you did too often that "Check Engine" light will turn on as I can see yours is on. Mine turned off in a week though :)

You are right, but this will most likely happen if you redline the car whenever the engine is still cold, and you have an intake. these are the only times ive had CEL's.

In my case, my CEL is from the Catalytic converters being removed. I plug a CEL reader once in a while and it says: "cat converter". i do it just to make sure is not something else

depends if you have an automatic or manual. becuase a manual, you would have to include the clutch and Flywheel.

as far as other mods:

CPE intake with MAF customizer: 500

Full racing headers including Y-pipe: 700

Mufflers: 300 (got it on ebay, its usually more)I also got an engine mount $120

If you want to go the cheapest way you can get intake for 200 + headers for about 400, and make your own exhaust for about 400 more. or maybe buy a magnaflow cat back for about 500 bucks

I highly recommend the MAF customizer from Custom performance engeneering (CPE). its a piggyback or so called chip for about 300. or you can buy it like me. i got the CPE intake and the CPE maf customizer as well.

well, msds provides some kind of resistor to fix this, but this wasnt installed by the shop so. I installed a MIL eliminator on it instead and still ge the frikin CEL, so this code doesn't make your car slower, so i can live with it. hehe
