  • The balkans were under ottoman yoke for centuries, the traditional musics and cultures obviously would meld a little bit, no? So the same sound, no, similar sound, probably so.

  • MYHOLLANDGIRL,

obviously it has been stated...but you really dont know the music of Greek culture...ever heard of rebetis? The Greek music style of blues...its been around since our freedom during the Greek revolution in 1821, and it flourished in the 1950s and on....that is emotional music....true music, that envokes feelings in its listeners. Most modern (popular) music isnt emotional, and is nothing compared to this...I would rather listen to this than any rap song. Show some respect

  • Mojoes, I am not into rap either, I like unique pretty music, I like happy music. Greeks are not suppressed now, the emotional redundancy is enough now. Start creating fresh osunds, eveything sounds repetitious, nothing sounds original, sounds like any highschool kid making music...Wheres the real talent now, forget the past and live now...Make some great dance music without trying to imitate anyone, then you will have something! You have it in you agapi moo...Hurry up kukla!!!

  • You make a good point. Modern sounds are always good, but I still love this kind of music. Its up to the listener to decide whether or not they like a specific piece of music. Like myself for example, I like rock, metal, techno, chill music, dance music, and blues and jazz. You may like different music. Music is for the listener, the artist simply creates it with their own emotion. I personally love this style of music and I beleive it sounds original as well.

  • Seriously, greek music is awesome. I'm a Greek/American and I love both types. These guys did a fantastic job on singing and the kids Bouzouki playing.

For the record, in my opinion, black music of today SUCKS ASS. It was good back in the day but not now... It's all about beating and pimping women, and driving nice cars... when in actuality, they drive pieces of shit with no insurance.

you must be a poustis to think these guys suck.

  • Yes, the Bouzouki is good playing, but nothing you haven't heard before...He can play, but show something else instead of the virtual exact sounds...

  • Search for this in youtube... Ithikon Akmeotaton- Pente Ellines ston Adi (live)

  • mann very nice!! congratulations i feel so happy when i hear the bosouki! im half greek best wishes from colombia

  • Πλάκα έχετε...

    Δουλειά δεν έχετε όμως ε...;

  • sounds great

Greek music is really cool, thanks for sharing

  • Dear MYHOLLANDGIRL !

  • Definitely not a mandolin. Nice post

  • why r u complaining bout greek music? thats how our music is! like it or dont like it! our music is similar to arabic or turkish! like it or dont like it! ur from USA u even havent got your own music! the only ones who r able to make good music r blacks!

  • Are you serious? You both are off track on some things! First off, these guys are just sitting around in an office jammin' with a Bouzouki(not Mandolin)and a pack of Marlboro lights! Come off the critical comments. Lighten up and enjoy their music. It's pretty good as is and should be commended on their minimalism and overall good recording. And he sings good too! If you want more festive music then check out another song. AND blacks ARE NOT the ONLY Talented musicians in the US! That's wrong!

  • you might like this song too much but go listen to some other great greek songs such as to simadi by giannis parios or to adieksodo by vasilis karras or 10000000 other songs!!

  • you might not***

  • kostas & Nikos, I'd have to say that was a very great song. My name is Theos, you have the same name as my twin brother Nikos. I also have a cousin named kostas. Anyway, you are both very talented and keep up the good music.

    -Theos

  • Bravo re paidia... astous na lene.

  • Kingmakedon, your obviously a very uneducated dumbass. If it wasn't for the Greeks, things wouldn't be the way they are today. They impacted many things in the world, and I'm proud to be half greek. If it wasn't for Alexander the great winning the battles he did, and defeating persia...we would be speaking arabic today in the united states.

    -Theos

  • Another proud Greek (well half in your case)

  • the iranians/persians arent arabs and dont speak arabic, they speak persian..theyre white people just like the greeks.

  • ORAIA FONH

  • ωραίος.

  • Wow, who knew it. Just my like my dad used to say. Greeks are very proud of their culture. Don't think I am saying anything bad because then I would be talking badly about myself.
