Here in GREAT BRITAIN, our health service is run by the government, no one tells us what to eat or drink or what kind of lifestyle to lead. Yes there are GOV guidelines and recommended daily alcohol intake levels but there's no one knocking on doors enforcing this. The idea is laughable. Our old folk are looked after till their last breath by dedicated medical staff who aren't all out to make money out of it. We literally are the land of the FREE.
I think killing the old is a good idea. They are going to die in a few years anyways. Why not spend tax dollars on things more worthwhile, like shiny new transportation systems and fast planes.
@physicsbugga Are you really that fuckin sick? That's the same as saying "you might as well kill young people too because they're gonna die anyway too". Do you really think most of your tax dollars goes towards the elderly? Have you seen the food elders eat, and what retirement homes look like? It's nothing like what you see on the idiot box.
@shuva123 I'll send you my address. You must be a pretty sad person lol. How do you know whether or not my "parents are pathetic"? You're a moron and a sad person
How can anyone in their sane mind actually believe that crap republicans spout out? Here in the Netherlands I'm a right wing voter. However when I look at American politics I tend to be a left wing voter because the republicans in the US do not make any sense at all, ever. All they ever do is relate politics to religious beliefs and protest against healthcare for retarded reasons.
The right wing in the US has seriously not a single point I agree on :/.
@joe80dmanizanerd That seems to be the case everywhere else in the First World. Right Wingers in other developed nations roll their eyes at the utter willful stupidity of the American Right.
The House version of the Health Care Bill is going to require (p 425-430) mandatory counseling for all seniors at a minimum of every five years, more often if the senior is sick or in a nursing home.
This is disgusting. I have watched loads of interviews from different news stations that actually state things that are disturbing, I have head Bill Gates speak of population control program and how vaccines are one way to do this. I have seen people in third world countries being told to take 5 vaccinations while pregnant or baby wont get a citizen card, many after injections lost their babies in miscarriages.

Wow. This is so messed up t I almost don't know where to begin.
Firstly, socialised healthcare is a basic tenent of a civilised society; I can't believe there's *anyone* who doesn't get this.
Secondly, the only country in the developed world that has "death panels" and kills old people becuase they're too expensive to keep alive *is America*, private healthcare does this every day.
Thirdly, conspiracy theories are sometimes true. Which makes this perversion of truth even more harmfull.
Let people see the rest of the videos sweetie -- and show the wording of the Obamanable New Heath Care Bill that these people are quoting, THAT DO JUST THAT !!!
You folks keep watching BSNBC -- and keep drinking the koolaid . . .
This is the very reason it's called BSNBC !!! Finish the videos sweetie! Show the direct quotes out of the Obamanable new Heath Care Bill that DO JUST THAT!!!!! And you folks just keep watching them -- and drinking the ccoldaid . . .
I'm far more leaning to the left than to the right, but I got to play devil's advocate here a little bit. Despite of what some confused people may have misunderstood from the argument, it's not about "conspiracy to kill old people", but rather just something that derives from the libertarian core: government is less efficient than private enterprise, so there will be more money for less results, and more people will suffer, eventually some eventually dying.
You are correct. The current system is perfect, with the private insurance companies denying you insurance in the first place for "pre-existing conditions", or denying you treatment if you actually do manage to get insurance to make a profit. Again, I congratulate you for your opinion. I truly hope Obama fails, as the people do not deserve what he is trying to do for them.
I didn't say that is my opinion, that the system is perfect or whatever. I just said that people who say that "more people will die" are not necessarily saying that's a "plan to kill old people" literally. Only that, if it's not everyone who can afford healthcare, it's likely that everyone wouldn't be able to affort healthcare plus bureaucracy, add expenses, no budget, and still get more results; the quality would decrease, + ppl would die. I think it's somewhat more complex than that though.
How are republicans going to try and scream Hitler when the Bush family was drictly tied to Adolf Hitler and even provided Hitle with money and supplies. And Republican Arnol Swartzanager was born from a Nazi family and has many times praised the Nazi's and Adolf Hitler, seems to me if anyone should be screaming Hitler it should be the Democrats
Not directly. But one of the ways to "pay for it" is by taking $ out of Medicare. Who uses Medicare? Seniors. If money isn't there to pay for their treatment, what will doctors do?
The surgical procedue Keith Olberman had done to remove his gag reflex won't be covered under Obamacare ... so you sperm-burping liberals be careful what you wish for.
you people think if someone disagrees with this bill they dont believe in reform. the bill is a pile of shit!
Wake up and smell the fucking coffee..we spent how many hundreds of billions of dollars on a pork barrell, i mean, stimulus bill that no one even read.
This administration is laughable.
Obama has an unhealthy all or nothing mentality that is painful to watch.

'Many' Americans are idiots. I stick by my word. I'm from the U.S. and people here are sooo ignorant, especially among the elders.
I don't find it shocking. Bush was elected twice! Blame EC. Palin ran for VP! She believes dinosaurs and humans roamed the earth together. They get elected primarily because of religion and by other means that constituents find appealing. Anyone who is a 'Christian' and wealthy can get elected in the U.S. Christians make up about 80% of the population.
Lol I know a lot of religious people as well. Despite the fact they're delusional, most of them aren't stupid. I just know none of those people would get elected here. If anyone were to say dinosaurs lived with humans and universal healthcare is a secret plot to kill you, they'd be out on their ass.
Like it's scary that someone can get elected primarily based off their religion, especially when they're so incredibly stupid.
@ExForceFire Yes.. I'm aware of that. What the hell do you mean, you sill have those thoughts in your head and has the killing begun? It has nothing to do with my comment. It doesnt even make fucking sense.
@ExForceFire I think you mistook my comment one year ago. I was not advocating government out-to-kill-old-poeple conspiracy shenanigan. To clear the air, I said lobbyists invoke these ridiculous conspiracies to destroy the healthcare legislation, particularly the public option, and individuals who believe the absurdity are ignorant-fox-news-viewers.
Ironically, any poor that vote Republican mainly do it for religion. They don't seem to digest the scope of issues which form a term and realize that on most other issues, the Republicans seek to screw them over. I'm Christian, but my beliefs aren't based upon blind faith in anyone who throws a Bible around.
@wildperson The start of the so-called Religious Right began with the founding of a think tank called the Institute of Religion and Democracy in 1968 by more secular Right Wingers based in Washington as a way to undercut the Social Justice Gospel from inside the churches and/as well as provide a new ready supply of votes from Evangelicals in the wake of the dissatisfaction of Northeastern Mainline Protestants with the GOP in the wake of the Red Scare.
So true! if an MP in the UK said something like that they would be laughed out of Government and it would be across all the News and Papers in no time.
But for some reason in the States, this type of thing really seems to be ..... normal.
just remember people that a lot of republicans have money or are funded by private health care organisations so its in their best interests to prevent health care reform. If obama can provide an extrax 40 million people with health care then that can only be a good thing, people can still choose to have private health care so whats the problem
The problem is that we have soo many idiots in America. They don't look at the facts, they depend on Glenn Beck, Bill O'reilly, Palin, etc to make their case. It is soo ridiculous! And another problem, Democrats are not fighting hard enough. It is absolutely sad. If the public option doesn't get through, I hope a new political party will emerge.

I live in the UK in a small town in Cheshire(pop.9,000) .
My local surgery has nine doctors and I can usually see a doctor the same day.
I had a heart attack, ambulance within 15 minutes, latest clot busting drugs, ECGs etc., my own nurse for three days (sat by my bed!).
I slipped in the kitchen, severed my cruciate ligament, ambulance 15 minutes, surgery 3 days.
My bill? We don't get them over here and our system costs less than yours.
I feel sorry for 47 million Americans.
