In addition to the added insulation that will help keep your basement area warmer, the e-log will not split, crack or shrink as real wood most probably will as they continue to dry out. The stability of EPS core eliminates prohibits this and you will have no maintenance other keeping them dusted...

These are cultured stone rocks that when installed provide a stone look. They are readily available and make a nice accent with the e-log...

Well done! I've been looking between a real log cabin, or a small place like that, and just do the siding. That doesn't look too hard of a job.
