  • well after being trolled by actally trying this i found a small wire with cooper wich i attached to the negatives, it took like two hrs, but it worked...

  • And the world is flat.

  • Do you always have to use a battery with a less charge for the battery you are trying to recharge with multiple batteries or can you use a battery with a higher charge to recharge possibly one or multiple batteries

  • this is the ancestor of troll science

  • Here's another trick I used to use back in high school to get the most out of my batteries for my CD player: If some batteries, let's say 2 AA batteries, are too dead to power your device, take out the batteries and use a hammer to knock some dents into them. If I didn't have a hammer, I'd use use the corner of a door, or cheap batteries were soft enough to chew dents into. Because the denting mixes the acid around a little, you might get about 10 to 20% more life out of your dying batteries.

  • This is excellent for recycling old batteries, but to recharge them, you'd have to have an input charge on the battery. Battery companies designed their products to be disposable, so good luck of you can even achieve a 75% charge. One small tip I am aware of is that you can increase battery life by removing them from the object when youre done using it, and that colder temperatures will cause the juice inside to expand and thus hold a longer charge.

  • We use electrical tape with out Christmas lights outlets, they're for not having shorts. If it conducted electricity it would really have a short. I think you mean insulate.

  • this video is only joke - without connection + to + and - to - isn't practicable transfer energy (electrons). And this isnt rechargeable batteries!! if you trying recharge, then can cause explosion (overheat)

  • electrical tape DOES NOT conduct electricity! omg

  • Thanks for the tip! I'll never buy batteries again!

  • Rofl, epic troll.

  • intresting... however ,in min 1.06 you say "secure it with electrical tape. it's called electrical tape because it conducts electricity" wtf??? Electrical tape (or insulating tape) is a type of pressure-sensitive tape used to insulate electrical wires and other material that conduct electricity. it does not conduct electricity!!!

  • What an asshole

  • You also need fairy dust as well.

  • Electrical tape does not conduct electricity, it insulates and everything else he says is wrong as well.... what an idiot.

  • infinite bs

  • He is so full of shit. You have to use the negative pole as well. And it could catch fire or blow up trying to charge those batteries.

  • dude should be bitch slapped

  • I think, feeding wrong information to the public is wrong and you should be punished for doing so!

I always appreciate an informative, truly educational video, but this is a huge waste of everybody's time!

  • nice, that was funny, parts almost sounded true, but thats about the point where somthing said destroyed all credibility again. like it

  • Cool

  • That's the funniest thing all day. :)

  • "It's called 'electrical tape' because it conducts electricity." Along with the rest of this, that's wrong.

  • Hey, go back to Electricity 101....this is a big lie.

  • Funny

  • Awesome mark thank you for sharing your intellect

  • aha

  • FINISH YOUR MINESWEEPER GAME!..... it's timed D:

  • Can yu use regular tape

  • BULL SHIT

  • I'm lost kid!

  • He did say "hope you find this INTERESTING" that does'nt mean go out and do it.

  • 1. 1:10-1:25 putting two AA in adjacent polarities won't actually do anything.

    2. wait 24hrs to recharge?.....i'll just run to the nearest minimart for new batteries

    3. no wonder even the phone company Ericsson is not surviving

  • Catch 22. How do you know how much charge is IN the "C" battery to make it worth while to JUMP IT to the AA ones?

I mean, you could be using a nearly dead "C" battery with two 1/2 full AA's...THUS, accidentally charging the "C" and fucking yourself over worse than Noxema on your crotch because it was a hot day (Don't ask)

    :)

  • 1) Get an MIT degree

    2) Go to a store and buy wires, cathodes, resistors and a twinkie (twinkie is so they don't think you're buying bomb material - terrorists have never eaten a twinkie....no wonder they are so mad)

    3) Go home and avoid human contact especially from attractive girls - oh wait, step #1 pretty much ensure that.

    Option B:

Go ride your damn bike to the park, rent a puppy and meet a hot redhead chick name Samantha.

  • It's called 5 dollers and a five min trip to Walgreens not 24 hours to half charge one battery and half kill another

  • LOL

  • This guy should be made Minister of Science. No... wait, how about Minister of Science fiction?

  • I guessed it was a joke around 0:53 but 1:08 really sealed the deal! Very clever!

  • All the money u waste to charge a batterie and u can buy a batterie cheaper xD

  • I'm sorry no offence, but did they have physics in school were you come from.

Two positives together and you think that is going to work?

Here is a quick physics lesson for you, in order for electrons to flow you need to complete the circuit, not just positive to positive.

And it's not called electrical tape because it conducts, in fact its actually called insulation tape because guess why... that's right, it insulates.

Not trying to offend you I'm just pointing out your mistakes.

  • @viperfrank All of his videos are a joke. I can't believe you took this one seriously, haha

  • @bryno92 No, I tell you what they are. a failed trivial attempt at trying to create original content in order to obtain popularity and revenue. open your eyes!

    just saying.

  • @viperfrank I doubt in early 2007, these kinds of videos actually made money... and I enjoyed the video, so in my mind, he deserves the money if he's making any. You can tell he put a lot of effort into this too.

  • @viperfrank Your'e beyond stupid...it's a joke...

  • @westfieldlax1327 Oh... I get it, yeah ha ha very funny... yeah great, hilarious!

  • How to recharge batteries:

    1. Put the battery into the fire.

    2. Connect the battery to 230 volts

    3. Put in into a jar of peanut butter.

    4. ...

    5. Profit?

  • cool i'll try that!!!!!

  • @MrSeif2001 it's bullshit, don't even try this...

  • Is he kinda gay ???

  • this changed the stun setting on my phaser to kill

DO NOT TRY THIS it is dangerous to small mammals and sisters

    trololol

  • well he's half correct but doing that is a bit use less since if you use good batteries to charge low ones ,the good ones will go dead in the process because a low battery will act as a load. Now on the other hand #1 he has made an incomplete circuit since he did not connect the (-) of the batteries #2 two smaller batteries placed in series will never charge a battery of double the current in power.

  • funny, electrical tape doesn't conduct electricity

  • IT WORKS! IT ACTUALLY WORKS! {Oh, you thought i was talking about the video. Nope, the rechargeable battery and be recharged. It's just like the magic orange, which magically destroyed my hunger :D}

  • the real funny thing is that some people really believes this bullshit!

  • so troll

  • or u can hook it up to 120 volts oulet to charge them fast and full. BUT make sure u do it for only 5 seconds

  • this is the biggest pile of CRAP I ever heard and seen

  • holy .... its real ???

  • Or you can go and buy some and not waste your other batteries

  • holy shit... this man has no idea what he is talking about. LOL! i think he is trolling us!

  • Comment removed

  • here's a question for you smart guy...why shall i waste 2 batteries to charge another since the two batteries cost more than the one?and second, why shall i waste 24 hours and dont go to a freaking kiosk and buy batteries?!!!

  • troll?

  • @dinmorerengeit U MEAN: :troll:

  • you troll oh so well

  • he looks like a policeman in vice city!

  • No, i wont kill you in your sleep or rape your daughter! I just wannna tell you how to recharge batteries! lol

  • but if you stand in the rain you become rain or is it water' rain is water so yeh rain then and ill have a bag of chips.

  • @0:14 it's not porn, it's minesweeper

  • lol @ the flow of capacitance

  • he is the biggest troll in history and most of his vids are fake... then why does this work?

  • I think i would buy rechargable batteries :)

  • @soepstengel96 what if you were in a jungle situation then? Pop down the jungle shop I suppose! LOL

  • really works???

  • or like me you own a really old battery charger works on aaa aa c and d batteries

  • Pro Troll.

  • Or you could just go buy some new *ucking batteries, damn it.

  • 這是騙人的~~~

    愚人節嗎?

  • "It's called electrical tape because it conducts electricity."

    ...What?

It's called electrical tape because it "CONDUCTS" electricity?

    Are you fucking kidding me?

So we call rumps/bums/butts/behinds/etc asses because they resemble donkeys?

Where do you get this shit from? Are you just making assumptions because of your bias on the name of an object? EVEN I knew that electrical tape insulates electricity when I was 5 (I used to play my SNES so much the controller wires wore out).

  • This guy is as good as Al Gore.

  • The most professional troll around.

  • HAHAHA, april fools prank or nerd prank.

    pure lies

non-rechargeable batteries chemically break down as they discharge, it's like trying to make a used match ignite again. even if they could be recharged, you'd put them in a battery recharger, not use up existing good batteries. besides, notice how he said funny stuff like, "it's called electrical tape because it conducts electricity" um, electrical tape insulates, and... apparently he had a magical orange... which has nothing to do with anything

  • @yyacub80 or your an idiot.... haha

  • @yyacub80 Yeah, your right. He said the orange is a catalyst for the reaction, Its not a reaction hahahah

  • @yyacub80 I actually have a special charger for alkaline that works up to 20 times (to a degree) it has an AVR or something in it, I always wondered how it worked (impedance matched pulsing or something?) So I know it can be done (I didn't believe it until I go the charger home and tried it myself) But think this video is wrong, how is there a circuit? How can a flat battery overcome the MASSIVE IMPEDANCE OF ELECTRICAL TAPE????

  • Moron!

  • Comment removed

  • trololol

  • What the fuck is this shit?

  • Why is this video from the 90's getting posted at Jan 2007??

  • I have to wait 24 hours.... Couldnt I just fukin walk to the store and just buy them in 30 minutes or less .......

  • Totally fake. You can't recharge a battery by only connecting one terminal, which is what this video shows. You charge a battery by forcing a potential difference between the battery's terminals that's greater the current potential of the battery. You must connect both terminals to do that.

Use electrical tape because it conducts electricity = LOL. And recharging non-rechargeable batteries will only give you a fraction of their original capacity, and they're likely to leak.

  • ima go watch pom..... thumbs up if you read this wrong ;P

  • Isthatreal

  • I'm on the wired side of YouTube again

  • @steelers641539 I just noticed im holding a bong.

  • SNOW FLAKE !

  • weirdo

  • electrical tape doesn't conduct

  • I laughed so hard when he lifted up that 9 volt rig lol

  • If you have time to recharge dead batteries for 24 hrs then you also have time to run to the shop and buy new ones. This is a ridiculous video.

  • @kaluntoy but if you don't have money to buy new ones?

  • i have a wireless mouse that has AA's running parallel, and yes their the right way round

  • i charge normal batterys with a charger for chargbattery after 2 min you put it off and there are full and you can use the normal again :)

  • Is the tape comment a joke or is he serious? If he is serious then the rest could be nonsense?

  • "It's called electrical tape because it conducts electricity" LMAO

  • can i recharge an M 21/23 using rechargeable AA batteries?

  • why recharge batteries like that for 15 + hours when you can go and buy a new once for 30 min

  • mark ericson.. what world do you live on and how u get onto our youtube.

  • 10/10 Perfect Troll.

  • i find him attractive

  • I bet he plays Runescape.

  • ...

  • no no no, this cannot be right!!! the -ve side has to be connected as well.

  • Are you serious??? It is a jock?

  • haha what a waste of time il just go buy some others batteries

  • A+ troll!

  • this guys videos would be moer popular if these things actually work.

the thing is every one of these videos if fake and people dont seem to realize it.

  • Lol electrical tape is called that way because it CONDUCTS electricity? wtf? Lol that was 1) a clever joke [or] 2) a brainfart

  • @vmorgun You copied a joke :/

  • @KrouchKauai lol it's no joke, I take electrical tape very seriously.

  • @vmorgun :/

  • @vmorgun or a i think people who will watch this is stupid and wont know what electrical tape is

  • @vmorgun and THAT's the issue you found with the video? lol

  • nice

  • he looks like seth green :p

  • Doesn't electrical tape STOP electricity from flowing?

  • I just think his smile throws people off, 'cause Ur eyes have 2 smile when U smile or it's in authentic.

Sometimes U may not feel like smiling but do anyway.

We haven't walked in HIS shoes, in his life. Who knows Y he smiled like that?

But, if he was treated the way U all are doing here, thru out the majority of his life, that would be a big clue. & then of course I admit, it is actually possible that has given him a black heart. Thus, he just really BE a creep. Hopefully he's not though.

  • does it really work

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • you guys who put offensive coments thats because you are not nerds so i say this video stinks

  • Comment removed

  • LOL

  • ERRRrrrrrrrrr yeh ok - sooooo wrong - the reason why you end up with charge in a ded battery is beca - know what not going to bother

  • lol 1:49 creeper smile

  • why is it called electrical tape? moron

  • wait for 24 hours?! why not just go to the damn store?! hahahaha useless method

  • This guys videos would be more popular if he wasn't so fucking creepy.

  • @Towelietowel implying 1.5mil views isn't popular

  • @Towelietowel

    lol

  • @Towelietowel what a stupid and ignornant comment. I suppose I can look forward to osme foul mouthed response. Why does youtube allow such inane people on its site?

  • @grumpyoldefart How is saying that someone looks creepy "ignorant"? It's a matter of opinion, and FYI I didn't say it with any malicious intent, it was just an off-the-cuff remark. Sorry if I offended you or your boyfriend.

  • Does this really work, Because I always thought that that would just make them leak.

  • hahahahha cool

  • nice video i like the new way to change batterys

  • or you could just buy a new 1

  • Yeah at first I thought this was going to be some stupid spoof from Madtv or something.

  • is this guy for real

  • @hobbymadness No.

  • ur mark harrison and this is infinitesoulutions and i dont give a shit

  • press 9 to see epic face! :D

  • WTF is this? I got about ten seconds in thinking it was serious. Electrical tape conducts electricity? WTF? Recharging alkaline batteries? WTF? Impedance, capacitance ratios? 2 AA = 3 9V? WTF???? This could really screw up someone. I mean if they didn't know any better and thought this was real. You seriously shouldn't post videos like this without at least a line at the bottom of the description saying it's fake. I mean holy fudge monkeys you're an a hole!

  • omg..fag.

  • wow man this is what i all freaking hax. can you teach me how to see threw walls?

  • wow man this is what i all freaking hax.

  • So can anyone explain to me how this actually works? Does some kind of redox reaction take place inside the battery? How does that work with no proper circuit and thusly no electron flow?

  • @jojotjuh It doesn't. This video is crap.

  • @Milesco Ah, should've known =/

  • 1:45 if i try doing this i'll blow my house up!

  • for all u aholes out there, this DOES work. and it works great.

But I have to say that electrical tape does not conduct electricity dumbass.

Your theory works, its just that ur missing a few parts. laterz

  • fake dummy

  • Over a million views. I wonder how many morons tried this.

  • Bright idea I am going to patent it. What a dork!

  • lol omg thats funny

  • Made my day!

  • :troll:

  • is it safe to recharge a duracell battery with one from energizer? also, will this show on my electrical bill?

  • trollface.jpg

  • I like how he left the minesweeper game finished and up to make himself look smarter. Minesweeper FTW!

  • OWESOME! subscribed

  • did you just say electrical tape conducts electricity?

  • Come on guys don't you get it? It's so obvious that it's an advertisement for Duracell..

  • Not bad, not bad at all

  • I created a perpetual lightning bolt using only electrical tape and a magnet. Oh yea, he knows his tape!

  • Can you also so this with button cells?

  • i did it it worked this is so cool xctbggggggjhjhjhjhjhjhjhjhxfngvukttsnutgb

  • Cool it works
