I'l paraphrase Albert Einstein for the topic of my argument. Even in theory, individuals are not truly paid according to what they produce. The rich essentially work a bit and sometimes through luck and other times intelligent action, they get money which they simply toss around and collect interest on. They don't earn the money; their money earns them money.
And where does that initial money come from? Even in cases where it is due to luck, there is still something to be said about risk-taking in investing.
Essentially, "Aren't they entitled to reduce growth and harm the economy?" Of course. If government doesn't step in and do something about it. CA is one of many states that have been left reeling from mostly the Bush administration decisions. Many fell. I have family in several states Nit, and none of them are doing real well. My family personally is doing ok. They all had plenty of money and properties. Besides selling real estate, they rented out roughly 50 properties. Failure is bad for all.

The focus of the tea party is to reign in a government out of control-- particularly the blank-check bailout bubbles that have been created, which are likely to end up destroying our economy. Lenin tried to impliment it, and Stalin was the example of its end run result and ultimate abuse and failure. Mao is another example, so is Castro, and countless others.
Communism works on a small scale where it has to compete with capitalism and people are threated to contribute or be cast out. But on a larger scale without this threat, it fails.

Especially for the rich, with each person in the top 1% getting an average of $100000 in tax cuts while the bottom percent likely got several dozen on average.
He could have just cut taxes on the bottom $250000 bracket. That would have applied to everyone, too.

I'm just pointing out that every president inherits some sort of mess. Obama squandered the opportunity. He simply rubber stamped a trillion dollars of waste and didn't focus on jobs again for months.
Thats people the rich pay more in taxes...they make more money, so a 1% decrease for the rich means they save more money than a 1% decrease for a poor person (who probably doesn't have to pay income tax to begin with).

Bush didn't use his opportunities quite well, now did he? Job growth from 2001-2009 on average was already slower than since the Great Depression to begin with.

1: Government spending has assisted them a lot recently. Corporation assets are rising steadily, as evidence.
2: People with that much wealth don't need much more.
3: Economically, the rich save their income rather than spending it, which hurts the economy.

Unemployment during the Bush years was average or above average for the first 7 years he was in office. Notice that the recession began only after the Dems took over Congress in 2006.
1. By your logic, corporate taxes should go up, not individual income taxes which target the rich.

I'l paraphrase Albert Einstein for the topic of my argument. Even in theory, individuals are not truly paid according to what they produce. The rich essentially work a bit and sometimes through luck and other times intelligent action, they get money which they simply toss around and collect interest on. They don't earn the money; their money earns them money.
