Im going up Tinto in a few hours. Did it earlier last week and it was a good hard climb and I wasn't lugging radio kit. Maybe take my scanner up this time
Is that linear one of the RM Italy KL lines? I've heard that they have issues with spurious emissions and are only suited for 25-30mhz? What has your experience been with it? Great video by the way, excellent quality.
It was the 817 only on 5 watts. the linear was for HF which we also played on the day. Best DX was PE1AHX on a flat band. Amazingly, we had more trouble hearing him!!! He had to repeat several times. Quite embarrasing when we were only running 5w QRP.
Thanks for comments. Looking forward to some good dx from hilltops this year, hopefully in more good weather like that day.
Wow looks like you are haveing a great day there, what output is the linear and did you use it much on the day? I have an 817 too and its a great radio
Hi and thanks for comment. Tonna is a well known French VHF and higher antenna manufacturer. I guess they don't sell too many in North America. They are well known for having good performance, they arre inexpensive, lightweight and for not being very durable.

Which LDG autotuner is that over the radio? The Basic shape looks like an LDG Z-100 but a bit too big. Am I mistaken?
thanks 73 de N2NKW

Hi Brian.
The model of Auto tuner was the LDG Z-100 for the 20m dipole we also ran that day.
