my ego is my right. You said the old testament is ego and the new is Love it sounds like duality to me and you are bound by opposites. It is when you accept or denie both sides of the same coin where you go beyond Duality. Basically self honesty looking @ your expression with self-honesty(fear based or love based expression) is what will make us whole.
"But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...." Matt 9:6
So if Jesus as a man had the power on earth to forgive sins, then why the brutal and sadistic sacrifice? In my mind Jesus did not die for our sins, he died because of our sins. How can a God of love (Jehovah) have such burning wrath that can only be calmed down by the brutal and bloody sacrifice of his only son? A God of love would forgive us of sin by us simply asking. Jehovah is the God of war.
The interpretation you give about Jesus Christ in His role as the Perfect Sacrifice for the sin of man is not what many Christians believe. The sacrifice was made because God is Perfect in His judgement...and Mercy. He'll be back soon. This plane was about choices but the field is too slanted to be fair.

"Jehovah is a man of war: Jehovah is his name." Exod 15:3
In mythology Jehovah also appears to be Zeus, Enlil, and El all of them being nasty and hateful against humans.
