The really should give sci-fi series at least a 2 season grace period before deciding to cancel it. I mean SGU is just getting good and sci-fi shows like SGU can thrive in syndication, look at the original SG1 and shows like Farscape or Xena or Star Trek: TNG, Voyager, DS9 and others. I fell into the fandom of these shows when they were in syndication. I'm even loving Enterprise now that im watching it.

Telford's exposition (beginning 13:30) reminds me of South Park when it gets comedically dramatic in the adventure episodes. I could easily hear Matt Stone's voice saying, "I tried communicating with them, but it was next to impossible." with the flashback scenes, as the "neural stimulators" are inserted in absurd parts of the character's body.

Maybe it's just me. Hehe.

@lonesomethunder that might have something to do with the weak EM shield that protects us on Earth from the harshest radiation from the sun, while, on the spaceship, they would (presumably) have an immensely powerful shield to protect them from all of the cosmic radiation and (particularly when they skim the surface of stars) infrared and UV (etc, etc) radiation emanating from the star - mind you, it would be bloody bright, so it'd need some sort of filter system on all of the windows....
