  • The song is Replenish by Bassnectar ;) Since it always gets asked. And very awesome!!

  • I like your style, good creativity

  • for the guy who asked lower down, go to you tube and type in replenish Bassnectar and it will come up for you hope it helps x

  • you are amazing :) should start doing all this type of stuff again :)

  • What size are those? It looks like they're around 100mm.

  • haha i contact juggle too but i just have 1 video at the moment...

  • can anyone tell me the name of the basshunter song? It's fantastic, and I want to do some contact juggling to it

  • can u make a tutorial of some moves?

  • WOW

I love how this was turned into so much more than just contact juggling.

    Beautiful.

  • "In Soviet Russia, Ball moves you!"

  • sounds like vector man :/

  • did anyone blink more than 5 times during this whole video? O.O

  • are those 2 100mm 4in balls your using? i just got a second and it looks so much better than double ball tricks with smaller ones, you should do some tutorials for those moves, or ill be watching this vid over and over and over etc etc lol

  • @NeedBetterLoginName

its not a fushigi, this was made way before those were thought of lol yes same type of thing but not that BRAND

  • thats amazin and really pretty :D

  • hes really good and i could never do anything like that... But compared to the other videos of people doing this on youtube hes pretty shit.

  • im going to try to master this and do it for my school talent show xD

  • This is some kind of WTF-ish performance.

  • *Insert joke about balls* :)

  • great style.... reminds me of my own

that is dance / juggle at the same time

  • Wow! You have amazing skills

  • He's using a fusghusi ball!

  • You aren't good

  • looks so funny, i'd say this one "art" is a little overrated.

  • imagine this in a tutting sequence! sick popping.

  • excellent use of the opposite hand

  • he's an awesome juggler but not that great of a "dancer" so his isolations aren't catchy like his contact skills

  • omg you are amazing

  • @1234magicman4321 it's contact juggling...

  • @mskinne1 yes, i know. but his style makes it look like that. i personally think it looks stupid and seductive. but i know what contact juggling is.

  • Epic ball manipulations...

  • This is gay! You look like a total douche trying to do this and whats with the getto Criss Angel outfit? You suck

  • Good flow and lovely 2 ball work! More inspiration for mixing liquid and contact juggling. . . Thank you :)

  • @bennoro 3 hits of mescaline, 2 hits xtc and some ambient techno

  • aka breakdancing juggling style

  • rad. gotta love bassnectar & contact juggling, liked the ending a lot yo

  • haha do you cj at shows? im assuming you like to tune in if you like bassnectar and contact juggling. i saw a guy juggling at string cheese rothbury in a clown suit and it was great haha. Great performance by the way. hope to see more of it coming out.

  • dope!

  • Quite gay..

  • You are my idol.

  • That's why it's called contact juggling... they move the ball while touching it.

  • @masaralight no i know but i just don't like the style that he uses.

  • really really, i love this video! a very good work, very good style and rythim!!!

  • While other's give you the freedom to perform what, and how you like, please be courteous enough to give others the same freedom.

    Peace and love: It exists.

  • ive seen better

  • @matthewisapanda thats the problem you have seen but try doing it and then comment

  • awesome

  • Well, I can do basic three ball juggling, but I'd really love to get into contact juggling, it's so mesmerizing. I love it.

  • *.* OMG

: / small hands doesn´t work, but you could try with a small ball

  • @nalice05 yeah it does...im a 14 year old girl thats only 5 foot 4.5 inches and i CJ....it just takes practice, effort, and concentration.

  • ooooh you're good :) I like you

  • I have never seen a female contact juggler why is that?

  • i see a lot. it probably though because sphereplay (contact juggling'ss old cooler name) started in midevial times. jesters had to learn it to impress their king and queen and back then femmales were not jesters

  • the burn the witch issue

  • I know sarcasm is hard to detect on the interweb but in case you're not joking. sphereplay is the name of a DVD that was put out well after it was contact juggling with was developed by Michael Moschen. The name actually comes from the book by james Ernst of the same name, Michael Moschen never used the term contact juggling. And there aren't a huge amount of women because few of them are nerdy enough to want to put in the time it takes to master it. See j9 for a good female contact juggler

  • omg. ontact jugglign was not invented by michael moechen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its been around for ages

  • Okay I'll give you that the concept of body rolls and moving a ball around your body has existed for ages, i.e. Paul Cinquevalli "The human Billiard Table" but the modern illusional art that we call contact juggling had it's roots with moschen. iI you can give me a documented reference of acrylic ball isolation and multi ball illusion before that I will eat my hat. The minor fact that it was impossible to make perfect acrylic balls in midevil times,

  • yues Contact juggling then was invented by moeschen. but SPHEREPLAY is a different style that has been around forever. are we at an agreement?

  • ugh, okay yes the IDEA of dicking around with a ball for fun and not actually making any effort to make it look good has been around for a long time.

I'm all for people having fun with stuff. But for me personally SPHEREPLAY is awful. It's messy and not clean.

However, I learned contact from one of the most picky men alive. If you want to see the true potential of contact check out Ryan Mellors, Andrew Batchelor (who wrote multiball contact an ace book), Moon, Piche, Jago, to name a few.

  • uhm.... thats really rude. sphereplay is a lot cooler. and some guys are good. youtube sphereplay and clickthe first one. then tell me its not clean.

  • okay he's quite good, his chest rolls need sorting out though, crossing your arms is not good. Let's just say we come from different schools of CJ and leave it at that and stop cluttering up this guys video

  • Haha! I had the same argument with this dumbass kid a few weeks ago. Don't waste your time. He thinks he knows what he's talking about because he went to spherecamp once. He was trying to claim there were Hieroglyphics of contact jugglers and then kept changing his mind on whether sphereplay and cj were the same thing or different. IMO, Moschen took from arts such as sphereplay and chinese therapy balls and made something new. He called it dynamic juggling. It's an evolving art.

  • do you have any sources to back this up? i'd be interested in to delving more in to the history if this art. he was at least partly responsible for the proliferation of it at the very least.

  • Maybe not invented, but definitely mastered.

  • im gonna say its cause women have smaller hands so its more difficult... i have tried it and just could not do it at all, my partner is naturaly really good at it and he has really big hands lol so thats my theory

  • REALLY AWESOME! =D

    its so hypnotic ^^

  • whats the name of the song playing?

  • it would be better if the colour switch bit in the middle wasn't there

  • Youre pupils and eyes are way wacked out... wtf you on?? lulz

  • Comment removed

  • Very very nice. I'm starting to learn a little CJ right now and I'm loving it. I know just enough now to really be blown away by how hard most of your moves are. Amazing!

  • Real cool! Nice moves!

  • Epic! Thank you for inspiring me!

  • Practice, Persistance and good music :)

  • @mtnmischief i also think so need to be alittle OCD about CJ.... imo

took me 3 months to learn a bagfull of tricks...and 7 years tryin to prefect them.

  • @mtnmischief and alot of weed

  • why so much tensions in the shoulders?

  • Because I'm so Intense .... J/k :)

  • cos ur not connected to the ground or center...

  • Pretty Sick stuff man. Love the sphereplay as it is, ya bring it to a new level. Keeps it spinnin'

    -ase x

  • what is the name of this song by bassnectar?

  • stunning :-)

  • great skills of movement and dance

  • I love the effect of this but why does it have to be realised in such a pretensious way, Floyd isn't pretensious about it in his vids and niether is Jess and it looks better for it, Lets see , David Blaine Vs Paul Zenon or Darren Brown who do you prefer?

  • really great.....a nice departure from the usual routining -bravo!

  • Never seen contact juggling before... this was awesome... it's so beautiful and graceful... i like the adding of regular juggling into it... but with the acrlyic balls it looks fantastic... Great Job!!!

  • Just ugly: you move like someone trying to catch a ball under drug

  • Wow very impressive! I was looking up contact juggling clips cause my boyfriend is interested in it, and i found yours to be mesmorizing. A lot of contact juggling deals with just hand movements and I really enjoyed you using your whole body. The negative effect was also cool cause you could focus on the balls better. Really really beautiful, keep up the good work!

  • where is the anti-gravity effect???if are you so fast, lets go drive a car!

  • i can give a recomendation to u (if u are the guy juggling) that your routine shows a lot of skill, but ordinary ppl can't really apreciate all the beatuful things contact has, coz of your fast cjuggling, iono if u get me wut im saying..

  • Sure, because critiquing someone that's one hundred million times better than you gives you credibility...

  • how the fuck do you know he cant contact juggle

  • I didn't say that he couldn't. Maybe you need to learn to read. And why are you so fucking angry about something someone else said? Worry about your own shit.

Plus your name is right. Follow your own advice.

  • no it doesnt, but you dont have to be a chef to tell the cook where he might be able to improve, so shut yo mouth my man. its a valid comment and im sure the artist was glad to hear it

  • Doubt it, but whatever. Continue being a retard.

  • The 2-ball isolations look really cool in negetive. Very neat vid. Do you have any lesson videos for asspirring Liduid CJers?

  • I think you should only do short clips of what you can do as a promotional video. You don't want to take the excitement from the crowd, by showing them a full routine unless you can actually do many moves that will surprise the crowd.I always thought you are great, and inspiring.

  • This is a good point - though I don't consider this to be a promotional video, it's meant to inspire other Cjer's - besides its all pretty basic stuff anyway .. :) Thanx for the specific feedback.

  • Very interesting. The fluidity of the movement was absolutely gorgeous. As an artist myself, I feel compelled to say that I think the integrity of the juggler is compromised by the special effects. Sure, they're there to make it more interesting, perhaps? I felt like it took my attention away from the focus of the movement - away from Kevin Axtell. Beautiful work, though.

  • Thank you!

I agree, in retrospect the effects were not a good idea.

  • @SterlingFeathers um i disagree i watched this on acid and that effect was intense

  • Some nice tricks but he's no Michael Moschen. I stopped watching when the crap effects took over.

  • He makes it look so easy.... amazing though! I'd love to learn even just how he makes his movements so smooth, to bring over to poi

  • OK that's showing off. One thing I'd love to see is the ball on fire but I don't think you can get contact fire balls can you...

  • Wow, that's amazing. I haven't seen many contact jugglers, but your act is much more dance-y than most I've seen. In an awesome, spell-bindin' kinda way.

    :D

  • man your workshop was awesome i am working on some stuff now!!!!!

    THANKS!

  • awesome moves! the 2ball stuff with a bit of tossing mixed with contact was brilliant!

  • how much do those ball weight? I would assume that they would have to be kinda heavy to be able to the transfer from the palm to the back of the hand.

  • I like how the person wore armbands. Not many do that because it usually gets in the way of the trick or is just too annoying to have a ball roll over something like that.

Very well done. =3 Good job and the guy should keep doing what he's doing.

  • Bassnectar!!

  • Now help me out, man. At about 1:15-1:20 some wild shit is going on. Can you give me a little hint as to what it is? It looks so f***in' cool, but I can't figure it out! Great video, man. That two balls stuff is out of control!

  • I agree with Tracerammo - the "miming" elements you do with the free hand are absolutely gorgeous and add so much to the tricks and the routine! I'm going to go study this video more now!

  • Wow, i am not kidding your the best i've ever seen, it's so magical i wish i could contact juggle, if you don't mind could you give me a tip how to or where to start? thanks

  • DAM Dude that was freakin awsome!!! I would like to see some tutorials for those tricks because I can't do anything with 2 balls yet, and it looks so cool

  • Thanx! 2 ball Tutorials ... coming soon :)

  • bravo to you, too. very good job with the "other hand", that's never easy. and thanks for your comment.

  • cool...where u from??? do u teach? workshop?? thanks

  • California - yes - Ija this year!

  • Wow, probably the best CJ video I've ever seen. Amazing style, just provided a whole new source of inspiration. Simply amazing, good choice of music too.

  • Fucking rad.

  • Truly insane stuff mang. You're my new model CJer. Let's see some tutorials for some o' those advanced trix!

  • very nice kevin.

    good food for thought there.

    thanks for the props!

    silver.

  • seriously, wow. Just amazing

  • Wow

  • Nice work Kevin, I like the liquid dance stuff

I'll be lookin 4 that multiball vid....

  • Yeah! Glad to see you're alive and well Kevin! :P Awesome video! You have improved quite a bit just since the training camp! :D When is "3 ball juggling freestyle" coming out? lol! You promised! :D :D

  • 3 Ball freestyle!!

Comin right up! Check tomorrow for Cj 3ball freestyle :)

  • haha how 'bout some toss juggling? :P I still havent learned the shuffle yet... when you left Vegas all my inspiration to learn it went away... :(

  • Untill I get the 3b frestyl vid up Check out "flight of the bumbleball"

A vid on our Channel with lots of shuffles and variations. good luck :)

  • nice skills. i wonder who your influences are.

  • My CJ influences are many and include:

Greg Maldonado, Silver, moon, and Ministry of OM.This piece was inspired by Gothic Belly dance as well.

  • i guess i was being semi-sarcastic. your style reminded me alot of Silver, that's what i was going for.

  • Thanx, Silver is awesome. A true innovator.
