@monkeetime so, Ray William Johnson puts out 2 videos a week, grossing about 10 million views combined, so YouTube pays him 40 million dollars a month, or about half a billion dollars a year? Cool. If you say so ;) Love the movie by the way!
@Delamarche It's bloody interesting and originally messed up; as a reason to go to the country.
They are making fun of the backwards regime against a depraved people. And well they should, there is enough sentiment in each episode too. It's about 1.500 to go there (and then 1000 more or so). That's doable.
I love how they think having the tallest flag pole really matters. They actually think the south gives a fuck about who has the tallest flag pole. The south are laughing their fuckin asses off.
Mostly racist shit disguised as anti freedom hating anti-north-korea thingy... yeah they're bad, but you don't have to be fuckin dicks about it ... the people of north korea are abused by the system.
there seemed to be lots of people walking around that one city. Why aren't there more people in Pyongyang? And where are all these people going? I mean...there are no careers/stores etc in NK.
this was the most informative, amazing video I have ever seen...wow seriously great job,it was nice to see what its like there,I didnt think westerners were allow except for humanitarian aid when the supreme leader threatens to pop a nuke off.
To all of you, who show hostility toward DPRK, around here: you are all blind because you have been obfuscated by the lightening of capitalism propaganda, and I am not surprised with it, whatsoever.
—If you are honest with yourselves, and want to know why I said what I have said above, and why I am laughing at your comments, just go to North Korea (Part 12), and read...
You all have a lot to do to catch-up, and get the power of knowledge!
Don´t worry too much; there are many millions like you!
Hi, I've watched all the 13 vids you posted: am just back from a solo trip (of course with 2 guides and a driver haha) to DPRK and guess what, the road to get the concrete wall is still closed!!! (this time the puppets told me a bridge collapsed due to the rain, but they added I would be able to see that from far-away...obviously I've never spotted it and when I asked "so, where's the wall?" the reply given to me was an awkward smile). Btw when I visited the DMZ I had the same soldier as you.
Some of the DPRK residents probably pilfered the wall for food to change up their traditional North Korean diet of clay and tree bark with a side of nothing.
I was thinking that was the case about the fuel. There isn't a lot of traffic on the roads because there must be no fuel to go around. I don't see any gas stations on the tour either. Interesting visit to the border though. Amazing how tense it looks.
@Crush777 I just got back and I saw 3 gas stations. They are not as obvious as in other countries. The amount of traffic in the city was a massive surprise. We got stuck in rush hour traffic jams more than once. A lot of the young people had mobile phones too. Things are changing there.
@Lardontoast Indeed, China is exporting a large number of cell phones there and there are also private markets. One guide who guides American politicians and has been to the DPRK over a dozen times says that the food shortage is not as bad as it once was and that electricity outages are not as often as they used to be.
I think people should keep in mind the tragedys that China went through as a communist nation before it eventually got to the point where things like starving were less common.
That was very interesting. Gotta love that pause for break-dancing! :) And those tiny individual metal covered bowls are pretty special. ... how was the food? And how about the liquor? Did you get to try any?
Someone Please please please tell me the name of the song thats playing for the first 3 minutes or so!
