  • You do need a bro to help you do camera work and lighting. But you still rock.

  • Many thanks, this tab has been helping many people, and now has helped me. Awesome!

  • Excellent job, well done and thanks for sharing your obvious love of music. Such a great song and chord voicing. I notice radiohead add the b7 tone in there as well - Eb. I love the dropped d sound. Incidentally the same tone and capo position as streets of Philadelphia by Springsteen (i.e. f major scale with more chords) and many acoustic blues dudes past to present. The dropped d gives an indian like drone effect even before all the effects are added by the band. Bw

  • Well done fella..good job!

  • does thom play this without a pic tho?

  • Weird Fishes/Arpeggi tutorial plzzz !

  • I don't think that you're great.

  • You play this really well but it hard to see where you fingers are due to the light of the room as it's quite dark n the angle of the camera

  • Dude u looked like ken zhu from the boyband f4...lol but nice tutoring, helped me a lot.cheers

  • This tutorial made do a homemade capo. You're great!

But in 8:31 you get REALLY REALLY creepy

  • LOL, "That's probably more confusing than helpful." Not at all, Warren. This song has been in my head for a month, and you taught me how to play it in ten minutes. Thank you!

  • Yo Warren, your dope.

  • Thank you for the tutorial! I've been wanting to learn this song and I just got a capo so now I finally can :)

    wooty woot!

  • i cant find a bass tab for this song please help me :(

  • Hey thanks! Are you native American? I'm Unangun from Alaska (commonly known as 'Aleut')

  • on 6.10 you are doing karate chop on your guitar, is that how you broke your guitar?.. lol

  • a question... the complete's guitar tuning is DADGBD or EADGBD? and the first chord is 090900 -> 070900 -> 000900? thnxs for the answer. PD: obviously with capo at 3°

  • NATIVE PRIDE

  • hey warren check the basement version

thom makes this whole-chord-vibrato just in every last strumming of the first chord with gives it a magic-shaky tune

he vibs the whole hand in that first chord like every 2 second

  • very hard songl.

  • thanks a lot! it really helped!

    here is my version watch?v=4Ge-24em_rQ

i tried to play it like you

    i'm still learning lol

    but thanks a lot!

  • There is a better way to play this song. My way is playing in standard tuning but putting the capo on the first fret. Repeat E Chord then Eadd9 chord.

  • @Gamagachee That's not how Thom plays it, but that would sound great, too!

  • @warrenmusic did i tell u about the whole-chord-vibrato thom does in the first chord the whole time, also in the 'fall of the table guess where..' he does like 6 or 5 chord changes

please check the basement footage u see it's very different, and much better

  • @yeahyeahyaha2 Fall off the table and get swept under, you mean.

  • @Tommeh101101 yeah right there watch the basement version thom makes 5 or 4 chord changes

  • @Gamagachee But that's two chords, what about the rest?

  • Hey Warren! I'm just trying to play this on Ukulele and was just wondering what the notes where / what kind of chord the "Fall off the table, get swept under" is.. i've got the rest sorted pretty much.. If you could help that'd be great =)

  • haber si le pones mas volumen para la otra no?

  • this guy is great, thanks dude

  • Great video! One quick point though - wouldn't the fret numbers still be the same? The reason being the capo doesn't change which notes come out when you finger chords above it, it simply changes the open notes. So if you're playing the F# in the first chord, it's still the 12th fret on the A string. I wouldn't say it's the 9th. Also I could be wrong, but I think he mutes the D string on that first chord.

  • You may be right about the fret numbers... I am not typically a fan of convention with regard to tabs, but in my defense, I think it's more important to note the relationship between the capo and the fretted note for relative pitch purposes. Tabs are more descriptive than prescriptive, which is less helpful when it comes to understanding tonality and pitch relationships.

  • Hey, i love the tutorials, could you possible do a tutorial and cover of Weird Fishes/Arpeggi :) Thanks

  • That's cool man. I suppose it could go either way. I mean it's your video haha, so you do it how you want, I was just wondering because I had never heard of anyone doing that before.

  • I absolutely love this.

  • I love you...

  • its takin me forever to learn this song, and i finally have! cheers!

  • Thanks man!! I,ve subscribed...be great to know more about drop d tuning...Have you heard of John Martyn. A great song called called 'may you never'..it's quite a challenge to play. many thanks from England.

  • No, if you listen to house of cards, it's at 55 seconds "I just wanna be your lover", if you look at the other you tube sites, they are playing this chord, I just can't figure it out. Cheers

  • Yeah, same chord.

  • Got the chords, but you have missed out when he sings after I don't wanna be your friend, what chord is it when he sings ' I just wanna be your lover' Thanks

  • It's the chord on 4:46

  • i couldn't figure out the notes, man..

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Yeah warren you the man!

  • a key party? what is that??? great tutorial much thanks my man! 5 *****

  • I like your style, good sir.

  • Hmmm. a bellend. You should probably fuck off somewhere.

  • you have a lot of charisma man... thank you for this lesson, now I can play this one to the bone... niiiiice.

  • thank you for posting this, It's such a wonderfull song to play to your lover...

  • Actually, check the lyrics out... they seem to be about a "key party," couldn't be more wrong if you're for monogamy.

  • yep... your right...

  • but, I actually meant 'lover', not exactaly the heterosoc pretzel we normaly go about, monogamy is a state of mind, not an actual thing.

  • u got it dude, check my videos out ;)

  • i think you forgot the verse

"i dont wanna be your friend, i just wanna be your lover"

  • "CONNECTION, peace"

Love it, also brilliant job. And yes .. some in britain do say capo... I tend to say both ( not at the same time as that would be weird etc)

  • Damn, I shoulda known that it would be complicated to play. I just love the guitar in that song, but it ain't as simple as it sounds.

You definitely nailed it, but can't see myself ever getting there.

  • I'm from Britain, but I say it like "cay-po". Anyway, well done on the tutorial, I think you're excellent for doing them.

  • wonder boi!

  • yeah a tuturial for weird fishes would be awesome

  • did you just call us kitties?

  • lol no, "kiddies." kind of an inside joke, referring to my first vid (this one was my second)

  • Hey dude can you make a tutorial for weird fishes. its a great song. Please

  • @Jacobmaster1 and very easy one...

  • I really like the way you tuned the guitar, but you go too fast at certain point and the video there is not enough light to follow you properly.could you do it again with a good ilumination

  • men ! you've helped me a lot ! thanks

  • 'capo' if your from britain? erm and a few other places...

    hehe 'world' series baseball..

  • Please do a tutorial of how to dissapear completely!

  • can't agree more!

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!

  • I read that as an insult at first...

  • fuck yeah

  • thank you

  • i love youuu thank you so muchhhhhh

  • fantastic, man. excellent work.

  • finally...an accurate way to play this...thanks so much

  • Awesome job Warren. A++

Can you do follow me around? I believe its pretty basic.

  • Awesome, you really touch on all the details. Emphasis on the up-strumming etc.

    Great job.

  • Man... can you upload a tutorials for this Radiohead's songs?:

    HIGH & DRY

    PARANOID ANDROID

    MY IRON LUNG

    FAKE PLASTIC TREES

    2+2=5

    AIRBAG

hahahaha is to much... i know, but you have de York style to play his songs, realy the best guitar player on this tube!

    Thanks!!!!

  • You're a fantastic teacher.

  • great job warrenm!

  • 5/5.

    great tutorial.

  • MAN! IT'S REALLY PERFECT JOB!

Now I can play this song too!

    The sound looks really TRUE!

I didn't know about that E-string, and now I know what to do! You're great! Awesome!

  • amazing!

  • How do you get everything that correct? Are you Thom?

  • you arew great. how can iplay paranoid android?

  • yeah teach that man!! thanks

  • What was that thing you did at 0:45. that sounded really cool.

  • did you call me kitty

  • this is awesome warren.. having a little problem with that chord thats like 2223xx is that correct?

  • Thank you so much! You are a great teacher!!!

  • sorry..

    just change ''66x54x--6x666x--66x54x''

    for ''55x43x--5x555x--55x43x''

  • I like you're tutorials a lot- so I was watching the Performance from the basement- and i figured that you can add this parts- the first time thom sings ''i just wanna be you're lover'' - you can use: - 5x55xx then at the end you play 5x54xx - and when thom sings ''fall off the table..'' he plays like this 5x55xx--5x54xx--5x55xx-- 66x54x--6x666x--66x54x and back to the 09x9xx part-- i'm 99% sure that is correct just try you'll see
  • you should move the camera to an angle so we can see where your fingers are moving thanks

  • I support this

  • me 2

  • I seem to have a much better grasp on this song now thanks to you(2nd day learning the song). Thanks a lot man, keep up the great work!

  • great job

You should tab it in your info section

  • dont you mean 0 -9-0 -10 at the beginning?

  • it kinda looks that way in the vid...but its def not 10..listen to it

  • dooooown until the D.... hahah , great video, thanks

  • I love you

  • I am a huge radiohead fan, have been for over 7 years, about as long as i have been playing guitar. you're video helped me out a lot as i learned most of the cd by ear, but i could never get this song!! Thank you so much! Radiohead 4 life!!!

  • you're the man!!!

  • Sounds really good, great job covering.

  • Very helpful. Thank you!

  • brilliant mate, keep up the good work

  • Thanks so much! Didn't have the patience to figure it out myself :P

  • Warren - I don't suppose you would make a video of you just playing the entire song would you? I feel I have the chords down (thx to you) but would like to see the song in its entirety to know exactly where the changes are... It would be a huge help for this amatuer!

  • Ah man, I'm really sorry about my previous comment, I feel like an idiot. I got to the second minute of the video and was like "what about the strum?" But, if I was a little more patient, I would've waited to the end and saw that you addressed it there. My bad, and thanks for posting. Cheers.

  • Could you explain the strum pattern at the beginning please? Thanks.

  • thanks man, i've learned like the entire album from your videos

  • 'connection'

    damn right!

  • you're the man!!

  • I just experimented a bit, based on your chords, and found that when you play "55050" at "fall off the table", it sounds better if you strum "55050" twice, and "55000" twice. By the way, this guide was fucking incredible, make an "ultimate-guitar" tab out of it and ill create 5 accounts to rate it 5 stars 5 times.

  • or more... probably more

  • You rawk!

  • you are a genius! Thank you so much :))))

  • nice job. you shouldn't change the # of the frets though. They always stay the same regardless of capo or not.

12th fret is Always the twelth fret... etc.

  • thanks for the suggestion, but i think my way is clear enough :)

  • This is fucking awesome. Soooo helpful. Thank you so much.

  • A great tutorial, if I'd found this earlier I would have saved wracking my brain a while back working it out - as you said the tabs were horrible! Jonny also plays the atmospheric line on the B string, I thought Thom augmented that when playing the G#? Maybe not, my mind is very tired from working out Like Spinning Plates by ear earlier lol. Your vids are a great help - a cool calming tutorial :)

  • you're a legend man, thanks.

  • this is fucking greaT!! thanks!!!

  • that was awesome thanks a million

  • I think you realize a camera would be nice, but that aside: Thanks.

I'm still trying my best to grasp concepts of good play like thumb positioning, posture, etc but your tutorials are exceptional. So far I've bookmarked two and I will use them to practice until I can do something resembling playing these songs.

My only suggestion is that you explicitly name chords (or make up short names) so you can shout them out as you hit them. I understand the tab method for setup, but it fails later.

  • fuckin' hard, your camera angle sucks...but mate, YOU ARE A LENGEND 'cause this stuff sounds RIIIIGHT!!!

    many thanks :0)

  • cool. picked it up in about 15 minutes. the tab on the net is just horrible. thanks

  • Great tutorial, looking forward to giving it a bash

  • Warren you rock! Most ppl posting tabs on You Tube obviously have no ear, or figure out the most difficult way to play a song. You are also totally devoid of any prima donna wannabe rock star attitude that is prevalent among many posters. You are in for a real treat at the festival. Keep up the good work!

  • 'dont get confused' , lol! u kidding

well im confused only a little 1!

  • These videos remind me of why I love Radiohead. Thank you.

  • yes 'Britain' we speak proper here mate ! lol!

  • I've learned a lot from your videos (esp this one). But my critique would be that, I think you should include the structure of the song somewhere. Like how many times you play a riff and when. Also, I saw a kid do a reckoner tutorial where he included the chord figures on the left side of the screen as he played them, and I think that would save you the trouble of identify each chord to the audience. with that said, thanks!

  • point taken... i kinda just record my vids off the cuff (not sure exactly how the form goes even when i learn the song, just try to jam along), sorry

i dunno how to do that editing, i will have to explore... thanks!

  • I would second that, chord boxes would help

  • oh god you answered my prayers.. haha but now i need a capo.. rofl

all the tabs/chords for this song are shit

  • Great guy! A gentleman and a scholar.

  • hey, really nice tutorial, i got most of the song in like 15 minutes! thx, but theres the first part you know, you play 0-9-0-9, then 0-7-0-9 and 0-0-0-9, after this first cycle, do you play something to go back to 0-9-0-9? when i play it with nothing in between, theres like a emptyness you dont have. anyways, dont know if you understood but thx anyways, keep up the tutorials coming!

  • from watching the performances, I think its 5x55xx to 5x54xx then back to 09x9...

  • youve helped me become a more confident guitar player. thank you for this. looking forward to your breakdown of jigsaw. peace. bridger

  • awsome thx so much man!! u rule!

  • great stuff man how about gagging order

  • lol kiddies

  • you're the shit my man

  • How genuinely friendly is this guy? He can do no wrong. What a legend!

I appreciate the attention you give to open strings. Up for a true Radiohead challenge? Every guitar player fan of Radiohead would be in your debt if you posted an accurate tutorial of "Gagging Order."

  • i love you

  • great stuff...keep em comin!!

  • Thankyou my friend.

  • thanks warren for house of cards...better than reading a magazinee for tab.. with your teaching touch..appreciate utmostly....fasts song i ever learned...got it down in a min thanks too you...

  • hot cross buns! hot cross buns!

  • i said i'd call you a hero if you did this song and you did it and bodysnatchers.

you are a hero times two my friend.

  • You asked nicely and I was feeling generous! Now go play yourself silly.

  • nice one dude...... much appreciated

  • Great work. Any possible way you can go back and explain the end of Faust Arp? I got everything up until I get to G (where the "chorus" begins and songs ends) - you basically number the frets in your (ie: x,2,2,2) in your recent Radiohead tutorials - not the case with Faust Arp, which was your first. Been staying up, like a madman, even with 3 young kids and a working wife - trying to master this. I really have tried. Yadda, yadda, sob story. Sorry. By the way, love the voice.

  • Bm - x2443x, Bm/A - x0443x, Bm/G - 3x443x

    B/F# - 22444x

    C/Bb - 6x555x, Ab - 4665xx, Db - x4666x

    G pattern - 3x000x, 3x300x, 3x100x, 3x000x

    Bb - x1303x, F2/A - x03010 (sometimes x03013)

    C/G - 3x2013, G - 3x000x

    Thanks for the compliment!

  • many, many thanks.

  • great work again

  • i luv u.

  • were you sick when you did this?

  • yup

  • This is perfect, thanks a lot and please continue adding more In Rainbows tutorials. Cheers!
