  • I am not gay. But, I used to hate some people that are gay, lesbian, old man married to young girl, or even old woman married to young man. But now I come to realize that the feeling of caring someone you love for the rest of your life it doesn't matter of same sex or age. What ever makes people happy is happy to me. ;)

  • I'm not gay. I'm genderqueer and pansexual. And I haven't come out... it's really hard.

If it's this hard for me to come out about being a genderqueer I can imagine if someone is lesbian or gay..:(. I love this clips and I wanna watch the whole movie :)

  • So basically the mom in this movie is an asshole and the main character and the teacher lady are the only decent people in this whole film

  • I feel like coming out to soon. and i can imagine that the scene of the coming out would be like mine. uhh how horrible would that be.

  • My mom not accepting of the fact that I'm gay my dad say I'm coruios how can I be that when I've dated two girls I'm gay not coruios I hate that they say the same thing when your 16 and then when your 18 I'm old enough to know what I am

  • @ecm177 I feel ya. My mom was excepting but my grandfather is in such denial. I want you to know that whoever you are, whatever you are, that you are amazing. And you are beautiful no matter who the fuck tells you not. I don't know why society has painted that picture of a man and a woman being married.

  • read yuri manga that stuff the bomb man

  • You know this movie was quite sad sure she got her happy ending but still the shit she went through was wow

  • I love lifetime movies! They are the best!

  • It's pretty awesome for a lifetime movie.

  • this looks good :) I am 23 and going through this at the moment, it's really hard when your parents can't accept who you really are !!!

  • I almost cried

  • Wow! Remember seeing this on lifetime when I was like 12...then coming out the next year...*tear*...I always knew I was queer as fuck!

  • I love it when homophobs bring out the bible on here and type a stupid line out of it, "blah blah blah..." like thats going to change our minds about anything.

  • come in out to a christian mom .. and a christian family.. is fkin horrible ... my mom accepts my gay brother but not me ... its so nice

  • Lmfao at 4:50 Jane is straight up beast yo

  • I told my mom i was gay and she said i was too young and i didnt know what i was, and i fear i can never tell my father tho, he seriously will disown me :( i hate being 15

  • Lesbians don't like what?

  • can anyone send me that movie?? can't get it in germany ...:(

  • it's parents who don't or won't try to understand their gay children, that drive them to think suicide is the only answer

  • i wanna watch all the complete movie....somebody have a link or a web?

  • u shuld put the whole movie

  • What it means if your lover says to you, that you are a distraction for her

  • @mysteriouslover9 ...well, it could go either way....either she's...I assume it's a she....either she's sooooo damn in love with you she can't focus on anything else but you.......or you're bothering her too much that she can't get anything else done.... I guess you would have to ask her....

  • Such a great film, I never tire of it. One of the clips in this video is my favourite bit in the whole movie, when Stockard Channing says "What do you say, this Saturday the two of us, just the girls, do a little shopping, go to the movies, just..just 'chill.' Isn't that the phrase, 'just chill'?" She pulls off the whole awkward generation gap thing perfectly lol. I just adore her!! :D

  • Why do they say gay instead of lesbian? Can someone tell me?

  • @queen096 i guess it's because gay can be used to refer to either a homosexual man or woman...

  • loved this movie i think it help my mum out a lot too. peace and love not hate xo

  • i HAVE to get my hands on this movie today! thanks for putting up the teaser

  • dam i need to watch this movie

  • @SelestialNorre If you are just going to flame or troll here then go somewhere else. You can make a review of this movie (if you're capable of some thinking, besides throwing obscenities everywhere that is) and no one will give a damn. But seeing your posts is simply hurting my eyes and I'm sure not only mine. You are just some immature brat that seems to have too much time on its hands. And get some help,'cause you quite seem to need it. Grow up a bit and come back here after rehab. Cheers.

  • @JimDeferio! Weather Their Black or White Or Idian Or Gay Or Straight i dont think thats its fair for you to say its a sin because thats what you read in the bible sir, but this is also in the bible "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love" "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love" "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins"

  • agree with u..

  • Whoever it was think cat got there tongue : ) x

  • @SuperLilly71

Aha Thanks, If Your Talking To Me Lol, Silly How People Get So Irate About Other People's Life's Or The Way They Lead Them, Everyone To Their Own I Say! :)

  • @londonwoolwitch I like what you wrote!

  • @2Zong Thanks ... Find It A Bit Silly And Childish That Some People Get Arragnt And Rude About Other Human Beings. :)

  • Oh right, its always a great idea to put your real name on a public site.

No I don't have a drug addiction and I'm also not quite sure how that was at all relevant.

No, I won't refuse a debate because I know that I'm right and I'm willing to fight for it.

  • @JimDeferio You are SO ignorant and stupid.

  • @JimDeferio

Jim, are you gay? If not, how would you know if gay people were born that way or not? I was born with my orientation.

Something tells me even it there were a million scientific studies, you would never believe me nor any other gay person. Your reality is different from other people. Ex-homosexual is a joke, gay isn't what you DO; it' s what you are. What you say is an opinion, a belief-not truth.

  • I love this movie! I had my share with women before I married my husband. To this day I consider myself bisexual.

  • Im a bi., turning 20. and up until now, Im still in the closet. This movie is way unrealistic for me, especially for my folks. How I wish I am fucking straight so that I wouldn't have these problems!!!!

  • yay elllen muth is awesome :3

  • this movie is great.. when i was in grade school i already know that im a lesbian but i keep it all by myself.. and i dress normally according to their expectations..but in the end i cant hide it and i cant control my feelings anymore... im really attracted to the girls... so i end up having relationship with women and tell my parents that im a lesbian..hahha i can still imagine my mom's expression!!!! she was so shocked...

  • I Love This Move

  • i believe this movie should be seen by all young gay children and their parents

  • i so hated stockard character soooooooooo much, then i realized how many parents are like this, ca't love their children for who they are, labels are for clothing

  • do u know were i can watch this i know it was on lifetime and i saw it and i loved it!

  • I havent told my parents yet!

  • dads understand more than moms

  • I totally agree!!..when I told my mom, she was like.."I had all these dreams for you..that you would fall in love with a guy, get married, have kids..yadda yadda yadda"...and I had to tell her that those were HER dreams for me...not MY dreams for me...I think my dad was just happy there wasn't gonna be another guy taking away his little baby....he found out 2 years after I told my mom, and he was upset that I didn't tell him. he said he would have been there for me when mom wasn't..what a guy!!

  • @iknowwitchfu hahaha that's what my mum said to me too ;)...my dad had no problem..

  • omg my dad would fucking kill me if he found out.... :/

  • @erinlov14 I agree. Me and my mother are still having such a hard time of it. I think men have a harder time when their sons come out and women have a harder time when their daughter comes out.

  • @erinlov14 my mum was awesome.. my dad, well I suppose he just was ok about...

  • @erinlov14 Because dads know how it feels like to love a woman :D

  • would anyone be willing to find it on amazon or somethingbuy it, & upload it? if they even have it. i can't or i would.

  • where can i watch this video that had a start and ending?tnx

  • Unfortunately, this movie is REALLY tough to find on the net...unless you try a torrent site and download the whole movie onto your computer...or purchase it...I've looked for it before for others, but had no luck finding it other than on torrent sites...but, that would mean downloading the entire movie onto your computer...other than that option...I really don't know what to tell ya....I've searched long and hard for this one....I just can't find it....

  • @iknowwitchfu I know a site where it is n 4 parts, but it doesn't work putting it in a comment..

  • @MinniHowl ...awesome!!!...maybe people can come to you to find out where to find it...I myself have the whole movie, but I'm sure others will be EXCITED to hear there's a place where they can watch it!!!

  • I think teens growing up can relate to it.

I love the acting in it. It should be a feature

  • I sure could have used it..and handed it to MY mother.."Watch this mom!"..and, you're absolutely right.. it WOULD have been better on the big screen!..it would have gotten a lot more exposure that way, that's for sure!..and, I think this is a movie both teens AND parents can benefit from..my mom would have thought twice about her behavior if she had watched this movie "back in the day"...maybe she would have come around sooner, and I would have known I wasn't the only one going through this.

  • Her hair is simply gorgeous.

I love that guy from But I'm a Cheerleader.

  • i was in this video. the black girl in the purple suit.

  • this makes me cry.

    this is like... my life.

  • This seems to be a lot of our ives...it almost mirrors mine perfectly as well..that's why I wanted to post it....show people there's a GREAT movie out there that deals with a part of life that I think a lot of us went through....and, it was a made-for-TV movie...for "Lifetime"...mostly a "mom" channel...so, I thought that was good too....that's right, listen up, moms!!!

  • u think ur the only one mine is worst im the only kid in the family and + im a lesbian and im only 14 which im in love with a girl in my school

  • 2 fraakkkk3 i know how u feel accept i haven't told my parents but i still cry soo much cuz it makes me feel like this could happen 2 me but i have 1 thing my whole school knows and it sucks so much

  • i remember when this was on lifetime. truly touching movie. thank you for posting it for others to see. my parents were always accepting of who i was. i can't imagine what a child goes through when their parents don't. be true to who you are and be proud <3 xoxo

Oh I wish I could have seen this movie14 years ago...

But I will watch it now soon!!

    Thanx

  • oh, yeah..I HIGHLY recommend this movie!!!...when I first saw it, I thought to myself..."Did Lee Rose (writer/director) totally bug my mom's house during the times I was 15-18 when I lived at home??..just a phenomenal movie!!..with a FABULOUS cast!!!...it was SO WELL DONE!!!...it's one I watch over and over...drop back in after you've watched it..let me know what you thought!!!

  • Thanx, it`s really kine of u!

I was searching on amazon, but they don`t have this movie at the time.

  • Oh, soooo glad you liked it!!...it was a movie that hit home for me...only, unfortunately it took my mom a lot longer...but, she came around....good luck with you!!!....I hope it ALL goes well!!!

  • thanks!

  • ellen muth = yummy!

  • OMG!!!! I <3 ELLEN MUTH, well just saying lol :), ever since dead like me i was hooked-line and syncer

  • oh, yeah...tell me about it!!!...she's great in this!!!...just great!! In fact...I think I 'm gonna go watch it right now...

  • I remember seeing this movie for the first time and being like "wow I wish my mum could understand in the end" I came out to my parents a while ago and my mum and I never brush the subject, My father is fine with it, he said as long as I'm happy he's happy. But I remember when I came out to my mum all she did was stare at me for a few minutes in silence....awkward but I'll live....

  • I don't know how long it's been for you...but it took my mom around 4 years...and there was a lot of silence in our house for a long time...but, eventually mom realized she was gonna lose me forever if she didn't come to accept me...it takes some time...but give it some time and hang in there!!!!

  • the first kiss is so magic anda cute OMG love the movie.

  • wow, i so wanna watch it now!!!

  • I highly recommend it!!!!!... It is a really great movie that NEEDS to be shown on TV again (and again and again)!!!...and it's one that I wish if/when it does come on...parents would also sit down and REALLY watch it....it's the parents that need to derive a message out of this movie...it's called ACCEPTANCE!!!!

  • I think almost every gay or bisexual person have been through rejection and well it hurts like hell, but if you have al least one person who you really care about by your side is just less painful.

  • this is true..but not every one has someone one their side...I made this vid more for those people...to show them that how awful it migh feel in the beginning...a lot of times, if given some time...family members change tend to change...they tend to see that you are the SAME person you alway have been....and being accepted by the ones you love most, FINALY, is a wonderful feeling, Not every one is like that, but the majority are...

  • I agree 100% with you. I, myself went through that kind of situation... after a while my parents stopped caring for it. They still believe it's just a fase but now I know who my true friends were

  • Umm what is the name of this movie

    Plz Help :D

  • the name is just what is says..."The Truth About Jane"...

  • this movie is amazing. after i saw this movie as a freshmen in high school i came out to my parents. i wish that one day my parents accept me like hers. thank you and more ppl need to see this movie.

  • Hey, I went through the same thing...it took a long time for my mom to accept me, but she did...and our friendship became stronger because of it...I wish the best for you...if you ever need to talk..my e-mail is like an "all-night drug store"...it's always open...

  • thank you

  • it was realy hard coming out for me especially since i dont know any adult lesbians. being mexican its pretty frowned upon in my culture still.

  • well, I can't identify with being Mexican..(though I do speak Spanish...) I was raised in a Roman Catholic home where it was greatly frowned upon...I came out when I was 15, and my mom and I didn't have many words to say to each other for 4 years, so I understand what it's like to be rejected by the very people who are supposed to love you unconditionally...it's a terrible feeling, and that's why I say if you need to talk about something, and feel you have no one, you can e-mail me, I'll listen!

  • you know where i can watch this??

    plizz help mee

  • Well, you can always buy it...that's what I did....or find a place to rent it.....or, you can download it on torrent sites as well, that's another option....

  • good job

  • thank you! I tried to make it interesting enough to grab peoples' attention...hopefully I did the job!

  • I don't know why you don't have comments on this video, you cut it perfectly..... Having seen the film before, it still leaves me wanting to see it again, and I think that those who have not seen it will want to.

  • Thank you very much!! I worked hard on this! I wanted people to want to go out and rent/ buy it.That's why I didn't put the whole thing on here..I want to support it..not "pirate" it per se...and, it's a GREAT movie!!! I'm glad I own it!!!

  • btw did you watch the music vid I made of it?? I thought that came out (HA!) pretty good too!!
