First of all you did not even give nemesis a fighting chance with the scenes you choose, second, this was obviously skewed toward Pyramid Head, and lastly in the scene you choose for pyramid head he missed two while nemesis was so badass he did not even kill the black guy that was not a threat lol even though the scene with pyramid was pretty gory, Nemesis got robbed in the last category, im not hating, (just saying) lol
when i want some creepy eerie fun late at night i prefer resident evil. when i want some scary late night thrills thats when i play silent hill so its really annoying when poeple rag on the different games because really, they are both are fun games and none of them can win 1st place because they both have different styles.
Easy way to settle this is to imagine you're in an alley with Pyramid Head's at one end and Nemesis at the other. Now which way would you rather walk?

@crysisman09 It was my opinin that Nemesis wins. And Pyramid Head is NOT a god. He is a punisher that was created by James Sunderland'scrazy mind to punish him for his sins from killing his wife. The movie Silent Hill has a different purpose. As I said, I go by Video Games, NOT movies.

At the end of the game he did defeat them after fighting them for a bit the two PH's do a ritual suicide because James excepted what he had done.

@crysisman09 James defeated Pyramid Head by accepting the truth. Overall, I just like Nemesis better from RE3. I do like Pyramid Head though, i think he's sadistic. Now, can we stop with the back and forth yelling at each other of our knowledge of these things? This is just proving that we have no life...

Which SH game is this Pyramid Head guy from? Ive only played SH1 on PS1, and he isnt in there. I watched the Silent Hill movie, and he is in there though.
silent hill gives you a very undescribable feeling... as for resident evil, it gives you a similar feeling like silent hill, but res has more of a action, very aware of things and surroundings...
i like silent hill cause of the undescribable feeling it gives you and i like resident evil cause it gives you a feeling of survival..
pyramid head is some guy with a sword. Nemesis has many different forms, can regenate and has a fuckin rocket laucher. Even without those he still has pure strength and blades

He's not invincible, genius, he's just difficult to kill. Both ph and Nemisis die by killing themselves, that's the only way either one of them can die.
Xuchilbara (PH) is immortal, he just takes the physical form required to get the job done. He appears to James and Alex (POSSIBLY even to Heather and Travis, as Valtiel and Butcher respectivley, not sure) as Pyramid head, a form reflecting the situation.
suicide was just a way to escape his form, since it was not needed when James came to realization
WHY! why are there so many of these damned videos! PH canot die..if you play the games through you understand he is a demi-god and is not able to die...while nemisis dies in the 3rd game (or second movie >_>) so PH would win no matter what....if your going to make a battle make shure its a fare one >_>
@ihavenonameeva yeah that is right i think the same there is probably even a reason why he is so slow! also another of the heavy stuff he is carrying but it can maybe be the reason he cant die because if he was fast he would almost be impossible to survive the time to the sirens appear in SH2 so that probably prove it! and there is so many that thinks Nemesis may defeat Pyramid Head but they all wrong and Pyramid Head FANS know Pyramid Head would win! You cannot kill Pyramid Head, and wasting your ammo on him is fruitless. All the appearances he makes in SH2 are timed stages. You just have to survive until an ingame counter finishes it's countdown. You can't see the counter which makes it a pain, but on average, the first time you face him in the stairwell, it's about a minute to a minute and a half. The basement of the Hospital, just freakin Run away. And the finale is a 5-6 minute run-fest around the same room. xD The catch? There's TWO.
i agree ph cannot be killed but what if we put them both on an arena where ph can die and nemesis uses melee weapons that would be fair and of course nerf nemesis defence LOL
For one thing, the movies are terrible reference points. In the movies both Pyramid head and Nemesis were completely misrepresented. Resident Evil, the movies, aren't anywhere close to the actual storyline. Although the Silent Hill story is much closer to the game, it still is divergent from the actual storyline.
Simply put, you can't compare the two. especially in this context. and you misspelled representative.
im preety sure he is only comparing the movies, not the games. but i dont think this is a good comparison, i have no idea wat the grades r based on(im not talkin about topic, i wish there was an in depth description on why that grade was chosen) so they could just be random

Lol. I like PH, the way Nemesis was done in the movie was kind of a comic relief. We always see him doing something rather cheesy. And he's the archtypical "dumb" big guy in the movie.

i got a question to silent hill fans out there. i never played da games, only saw the movie, and i was wondering, seeing as PH is jus basically a demon or something, is it the manifestation of the sins that the rapist guy had, u know, the guy who impregnated alessa?
In the film, Pyramid Head doesn't really have a significance. He's just there and has nothing to do personally with Alessa (who is never impregnated in the film... there is no rape or history of a past rape in the film). In the games, Pyramid is in #2, representing the guilt of James for the poor treatment/negligence of his wife during her illness.

oh ur right, i played silent hill 2 and beat the game, yea the pyramid heads r like evil demons that haunt james' memories of his wife, but i still havent played the first. btw, i know the games hold something special that movies could never grasp, but then again so did watchmen. i thought the movie was still pretty good though, at least it held true to the games as much as it could
Unfortunately, the movie's plot is extremely popularised for the american audience, so many things were changed badly. Cheryl became Charon, Harry Mason became a woman, Pyramid Head involved etc. - Silent Hill Team was disappointed, as SH-gamefans were.

Silent Hill games have strong psychologism in plot. Silent Hill is not the ghost town,it's not burning underground, it's not ashes flying in the air as the movie says.Dahlia is the main villain in game, besides. The cult that burnt Alessa is Satanic, not Christian.
Silent Hill is a resort town, which has a strange occult power, that lurks different people to their own nightmare. Everyone there sees his own Silent Hill. That's why Pyramid Head, Lying Figure etc are noncense in SH1-gamestoryline
look, ur right in all these aspects but what im getting at is the movie kept all of the emotion and creepy/intriguing sense of mystery that the games had. while the plot is non cannon to the games, the mood is and for that reason i think the movie was good. fans like ur self probly dont like it because it doesnt stick to the games completely which is understandable, but i, not being a huge fan of the series found the movie entertaining

But Silent Hill is the real place (in game of course), but it's different for everyone... in Hotel James finds everything in water, but when he met Angela - everything was in flames (it's Angela's Silent Hill). And I think everyone there sees different types of monsters (cause monsters are personal fears).
PH is ilussion of James, and only James, noone else.

First and foremost, Nemesis can be, and is in fact killed. Where as Pyramid Head, is a physical manifestation of a person's unresolved need to be punished for a crime they've committed. He is a god-like character. Can't be killed.
Secondly, in a straight up battle to the death, brute strength vs. brute strength, Nemesis may be genetically altered, but Pyramid Head has the full power of Alessa's darkness behind him. There's just no comparing his reserves of strength to something man made.
It's obvious he's going by the movie standards. If he would've used the gaming storyline, then you're right. PHead has absolutely nothing to do with her in the game. Here though is another story.
Nemesis is more intelligent and just remember silent hill would not exist without resident evil

pyramid head is some guy with a sword. Nemesis has many different forms, can regenate and has a fuckin rocket laucher. Even without those he still has pure strength and blades

He's not invincible, genius, he's just difficult to kill. Both ph and Nemisis die by killing themselves, that's the only way either one of them can die.

Xuchilbara (PH) is immortal, he just takes the physical form required to get the job done. He appears to James and Alex (POSSIBLY even to Heather and Travis, as Valtiel and Butcher respectivley, not sure) as Pyramid head, a form reflecting the situation.
suicide was just a way to escape his form, since it was not needed when James came to realization

WHY! why are there so many of these damned videos! PH canot die..if you play the games through you understand he is a demi-god and is not able to die...while nemisis dies in the 3rd game (or second movie >_>) so PH would win no matter what....if your going to make a battle make shure its a fare one >_>

@ihavenonameeva yeah that is right i think the same there is probably even a reason why he is so slow! also another of the heavy stuff he is carrying but it can maybe be the reason he cant die because if he was fast he would almost be impossible to survive the time to the sirens appear in SH2 so that probably prove it! and there is so many that thinks Nemesis may defeat Pyramid Head but they all wrong and Pyramid Head FANS know Pyramid Head would win! You cannot kill Pyramid Head, and wasting your ammo on him is fruitless. All the appearances he makes in SH2 are timed stages. You just have to survive until an ingame counter finishes it's countdown. You can't see the counter which makes it a pain, but on average, the first time you face him in the stairwell, it's about a minute to a minute and a half. The basement of the Hospital, just freakin Run away. And the finale is a 5-6 minute run-fest around the same room. xD The catch? There's TWO.

For one thing, the movies are terrible reference points. In the movies both Pyramid head and Nemesis were completely misrepresented. Resident Evil, the movies, aren't anywhere close to the actual storyline. Although the Silent Hill story is much closer to the game, it still is divergent from the actual storyline.
Simply put, you can't compare the two. especially in this context. and you misspelled representative.

Lol. I like PH, the way Nemesis was done in the movie was kind of a comic relief. We always see him doing something rather cheesy. And he's the archtypical "dumb" big guy in the movie.

also if i recall james actually defeated 2 PH's simply by realising he didnt need them to punish him anymore for his wifes death, and since nemesis would show no remorse for its actions pyramid would just kill itself. amazing how a little

In the film, Pyramid Head doesn't really have a significance. He's just there and has nothing to do personally with Alessa (who is never impregnated in the film... there is no rape or history of a past rape in the film). In the games, Pyramid is in #2, representing the guilt of James for the poor treatment/negligence of his wife during her illness.

Pyramid Head is James's guilt of killing his ill wife. Only James can see Pyramid Head.
Alessa was never raped, her mother Dahlia Gillespy burnt her alive for the occult ceremony (SH 1 game storyline), but Alessa's soul splitted in two - one of the parts was Cheryl.

oh ur right, i played silent hill 2 and beat the game, yea the pyramid heads r like evil demons that haunt james' memories of his wife, but i still havent played the first. btw, i know the games hold something special that movies could never grasp, but then again so did watchmen. i thought the movie was still pretty good though, at least it held true to the games as much as it could

Unfortunately, the movie's plot is extremely popularised for the american audience, so many things were changed badly. Cheryl became Charon, Harry Mason became a woman, Pyramid Head involved etc. - Silent Hill Team was disappointed, as SH-gamefans were.

well i am american but i dont really see how a small ph appearence , minor name change, and minor sex change really disappointed people. i mean, at least the mood and atmosphere of silent hill was kept, even camera angles and shots mimic the games. as far as video game based movies go, id say this ones good

Silent Hill games have strong psychologism in plot. Silent Hill is not the ghost town,it's not burning underground, it's not ashes flying in the air as the movie says.Dahlia is the main villain in game, besides. The cult that burnt Alessa is Satanic, not Christian.
Silent Hill is a resort town, which has a strange occult power, that lurks different people to their own nightmare. Everyone there sees his own Silent Hill. That's why Pyramid Head, Lying Figure etc are noncense in SH1-gamestoryline

look, ur right in all these aspects but what im getting at is the movie kept all of the emotion and creepy/intriguing sense of mystery that the games had. while the plot is non cannon to the games, the mood is and for that reason i think the movie was good. fans like ur self probly dont like it because it doesnt stick to the games completely which is understandable, but i, not being a huge fan of the series found the movie entertaining

Yes. But Silent Hill is the real place (in game of course), but it's different for everyone... in Hotel James finds everything in water, but when he met Angela - everything was in flames (it's Angela's Silent Hill). And I think everyone there sees different types of monsters (cause monsters are personal fears).
PH is ilussion of James, and only James, noone else.

First and foremost, Nemesis can be, and is in fact killed. Where as Pyramid Head, is a physical manifestation of a person's unresolved need to be punished for a crime they've committed. He is a god-like character. Can't be killed.
Secondly, in a straight up battle to the death, brute strength vs. brute strength, Nemesis may be genetically altered, but Pyramid Head has the full power of Alessa's darkness behind him. There's just no comparing his reserves of strength to something man made.
