  • Movie is in my top ten all time, and seeing NYNY back in the late 60's is amazing..

the cars, the neon, the clothes, the atmosphere, so very different from today obviously, so different.

  • brilliant////brilliant

  • just brilliant all the way around..movies today don't hold a candle to this masterpiece..

  • Look at all those MEN sitting around that table: that's a sight we'll never see in America today :P

  • @hibernatinghedgehog You mean people in America only play cards competitively?

  • Just wish the soudtrack was available again. I can only get from the States at nearly £84. I don't mind paying the price because I love the score but the risk of it getting lost en route.

  • The 2 Neil's were a perfect match! Neil Simon playwrite and music by the great, late, Neil Hefti! Barefoot in the Park is another jewel where their teamwork was magical! Both artists make us feel good and boy, do we need it now!

  • It's really sad to think they're all gone now

  • One of the funniest credit gags used in a film- Gwendylen & Ceycil (the two British birds) have their names reversed with the actresses. No one could ever keep them straight in the movie either!

  • @sdgojdfpghj That's true. I love the pigeon sisters! They were funny, endearing and beautiful at the same time.

  • Has to be in the top 50 best movies of the past 100 years.

    Funny to this day.

  • Thanks. Very cool.

  • a classic comedy

  • Excellent my man, excellent! Thanks for posting this response to my vid, great film, great actors, all good. I sound like an old man but they really don't make them like they used to, the last 5 yrs (maybe more) have been terrible in Hollywood. Lucky if there is maybe 1 or 3 descent films a year. Most of them are terrible.

  • This film was so artful, so distinguished...

    I'd forgotten it's rich 1968 NYC exteriors

until I saw it again recently..!

  • Hey noahf67: ya want rich NYC exteriors?? Key in 'NYPD 1968'. great cop show starring Jack Warden, Frank Converse & Kevin Hooks. Killer opening theme! Also from the same era: 'The Naked City' which I think was filmed in black & white. Totally argee w/you on The Odd Couple. You just feel NY coming off the screen.

I LOVE(!) the pan shot from the platform of the # 7 train when Oscar is at Shea covering the Met game. I would always see that view taking the train into NY from Flushing. ENJOY!

  • @monsta64 this movie was NY felt..

  • The song by itself was great, but this version of the song is awesome! I need to find that CD somewhere...

  • One of my favorite movies. Always like Neal Hefti's music. The Odd couple theme is great!

  • hes just like Felix now :P
