This is one of my favourite Christmas songs = I loved the Weddoes and now that Simone is on the brink of recognition perhaps this will get more hits - I just think it's great as a Christmas song - really uplifting
I Would of thought they would chuck a xmas tree in there somewhere! gedge is still a legend tho! the weddoes will always be one of our fave bands ever.
Come on guys - the lad's had enough bad experiences, let him enjoy this. Look at the gi-ography on scopitones; the man is the hardest working musician ever. Fill your boots David - give her one for me son!
on first listen......nnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........on second listen...well, mmm, shhheeeshh,,,,,mmm,,,,,eerrr.......on third listen, its catchy as fuck
Actually, this is what happens when your free testosterone goes to zero. Hope he's getting his PSA tested every 6 months or so. AARP card's in the mail.....
...you ARE all joking, yeah? Just being ironic, yeah?? and how come the black tights turned into white diamond ones as she stepped through the door?? What TRIPE. and happy Xmas everyone. I am just off to play my Elvis Christmas compilation 1959.....
i love it even if it's a huge departure from the Wedding Present canon. if you take it as an extension of Cinerama, as i do, you'd see that it's really Gedge's progression into new avenues of music. that being said, El Rey is a fantastic reminder of their old days.
Hm,seems Mr Gedge has cheered up a lot...quite a nice tune but its hardly classic Weddo's!El Ray had its moments but wasn't half as good as Take Fountain (or Seamonsters etc of course)....
Cheesy pap? Tongue-in-cheek festive pop? Who cares? I love it! I'd rather this was No: 1 at Christmas than the latest X Factor offering. Make sure you rearrange Colchester though, David, some of us here are very disappointed.
Lyrically tongue-in-cheek festive pop or terminally cheesy pap? Personally, I'm undecided - but can't say I'm a fan of either. Good intro though. I just hope more than ever there will be a Bizarro anniversary tour.

What a tune.Brilliant melody. Just look at the shit that dominates the "British" charts. Cheryl 'no talent whatsoever' Cole.
