  • コッポラ監督初期の青春フィルム、"You A Big Boy Now",ラヴィン・スプーンフルのコーラスが嬉しかった!ただし、日本では正式公開しなかった! #eiga

  • I have John doing this (with just an acoustic guitar that's plugged in), and another song live on the Dean Martin show. Unfortunatley it's on a betamax tape and I dont have a Betamax no more.

  • FRIENDS!! :)

  • thumbs up if rob dyreks fantasy factory brought you here

  • this will always be my fav Spoonfull song. i never heard it on radio but on a late

night movie i happened across years ago. THANKS!!

  • Great song and helped make the Cappola movie a lot better. Well I think it was just John signing..

  • i like this song because it comes out in friends when ross leaves marcel (his monkey)lets him go to la or something

  • @1997jonathan12 YES! thats why i looked it up..i liked it :)

  • @1997jonathan12 ooo yeah ¡¡ this part is so sad sniff sniff, marcel go to san diego, to zoo.

  • @1997jonathan12 that version is sang by John Sebastian and its way better in my opinion, sadly you can't find it anywhere for free except his myspace page.

  • @matzamoarta90 there is a Spoonfull cassett that has this song on it

  • @1997jonathan12 I just looked this song up because I watched that episode about twenty minutes ago.

  • one of the most pleasant, relaxed voices of all time, he could fit in the same category as smokey, ottis and alot of the great mo-town singers.

  • rob and big bitch lmao

  • One of the better, but unappreciated Spoonful songs.

  • The other version is referred to as the "Finale" and is on the soundtrack album. Actually , that arrangement is a medley of "Big Boy" and the song "Lonely". "Lonely" is also a stand-alone instrumental song, featuring JB's harmonica.

In the early 1970s, John Sebastain appeared on the Flip Wilson show and did great solo performances of "Big Boy Now" and "Lovin' You" with just acoustic guitar. It would be neat if it ever showed up on YouTube, as well.

  • A heavily orchestrated slicker version was on the 'B' side of Six O Clock.

I prefer that one but this is okay too.

  • I like quite a lot of Sixties songs for my age lol ^_^ Beatles, Lovin' Spoonful etc.

  • your a big boy now ^.-

  • @vocalist92 fuck u

  • @sagrocket

cant you get it up :P sag-rocket!

  • @HOEHOEHOLLY i'll get it high enough for u 2 suck it

  • @sagrocket is that that what your dad says to you? boom babaay!

  • This must be a Re-Recording because this song sounds noticeably different from the flip side that I just listened to on the 45 record. The instrumental near the ending of the record isn't even on the 45 rpm version. Wonder where this version is taken from?

Still, this is an excellent song. Thanks.

  • This recording is from the album You're a big boy now,(on cd available together with What's up Tiger Lily) which has also 2 other versions: Dixieland Big Boy and "The Finale"

Sebastians solo album "John B. Sebastian" has another version. The 45 record is indeed different.

  • if you havn't seen the movie by same name...it a riot...it's by none other than coppala...made at ucla???

  • yaa i heard that too in friends

and couldnt find the song elsewhere

can some1 help me with a torrent of the movie.....?

  • it used to be on YT but i can no longer find it...

  • trsgj

  • i heard this song from "friends",i like it

  • yea but john sebastian does the best version of it

  • could u give me some link of john sebastian's version

  • Another great Spoonful track! These guys really gelled - musically and vocally. (Has the film ever been shown on British tv?)

  • I fell in love with the movie and the band long time ago and still feel the same now

  • There's a much better, slower, less bouncy version of this song by John Sebastian solo (I think). I wish it was on youtube.

  • Walt, right. I believe it was on the "John B Sebastian" album..his first solo endeavor.

  • I remember the movie, it was awesome.

  • a young richard dreyfuss starred in a movie titled the apprenticeship of duddy kravitz, anyone familiar with the screen version of this song and who performed it ?...i recall it was instumental

  • For whatever reason, this was the only Lovin' Spoonful single that didn't chart at all. Perhaps it wasn't psychedelic enough for the summer of '67.

  • I love this song and the movie too
