@Matt (120inna55) - This fascinates me. Is this whole clip of "John" the mercenary all staged? I recognized Karim Prince (Jason Tatum) from Malcolm in the Middle. The whole thing seems real to me as John is describing Operation Retrieval in 1997 in Zaire (aka D.R. of Congo). John would have been a Marine MEU aboard the USS Nassau (LHA-4). Not a mercenary. That's why he was getting upset with Derek. They did LRPs into Congo River swamps and may have seen Mokele Mbembe at 50 yards (150 feet).
@Spookysr - Yep, all staged, but written to feel like a real impromptu moment. This is just another one of the cam videos shot by the fictitious Freaky Links crew.

@120inna55 - Is there anyway you can tell me who the actor "John the Mercenary" is being played by? The credits I found did mention who Derek and Jason where but not John. There's only 2 gun ranges in Gainesville but they don't look like this. John's story sounds REAL as hell. Where would Freekylinks get a dino story like this?
@Spookysr : Sorry, I don't know who the "actor" is. I tried to post a link to Haxan's archived Freaky Links page with reference to that specific story, but YouTube won't allow it.
& Here's the entire archived website as it was seen before Freaky Links was canceled. The show, with its live-time interactivity, was ahead of its time: haxanDOTcom/portfolio/freakylinks/
I've got a blog request into producer Rob at Haxan. Hopefully he will answer.

@120inna55 - Well if you use the (dot) method you can get around it. Like this: website(dot)com. Is there anyway I can contact the producer?

@Spookysr: Yeah, I tried that right off. No go.
