  • As pilots say, If it ain't Boeing, I ain't go'in!

  • What a terrible accident. My heart goes out to all the family left behind.

  • If I didnt know any better (which I don't) I'd say it was sabotage.

  • Because 727 are so small they can pull off 360's without tearing in two.

  • @draganbosanac007 You need to turn in you're comment card... IDIOT!

  • @draganbosanac007 How would that work logistically? Can you imagine 200+ seats shooting up in the air at the same time, some people would collide mid air, some parachutes would tangle, I mean you could save about 1/10th of the people.

  • o_O my name has 587

  • Why would I want to watch a video about people getting killed? Why would anyone want this to be on YouTube?

  • @ACfireandiceDC Don't watch it then, baby.

  • even disregarding the reported explosion am i meant to believe that a fully qualified commercial airline pilot stamped full rudder left and right continually like some amature with no idea what he is doing?

  • @MrGoldenSilence - It's called Pilot Induced Oscillation, and it can even catch out experienced pilots. You need to realise what it is, resist your impulses and centre the rudder until the plane stabilises.

  • a couple of days ago i was coming from india and scince thers a lot of rain rite now thers alot of turbulance so during the flight the plane dropped for at least 5 second everybody was screaming and u could feel ur body rising

that was the scariest thing that happened to me

  • Feel sorry for them dying a horrible death...

  • talk about crazy!

  • Nice but wake turbulence goes maximum after 2 minutes

  • ever since I was a child I always thought there was something we could do to increase our chances of survival is there is wing / tail or engine damage. Not an aviation expert here--first to admit it, just always thought (at-least by now) we'd have some form of plan-b with a jet

  • JUST REMEMBER THAT THOSE PEOPLE IN THAT PLANE HAVE FAMILY. I AM ONE OF THE FAMILY THE LOST SOMEONE IN THAT CRASH!

  • when did this happen?

  • @The2004Alamo November 12th 2001

  • Comment removed

  • @funnykittenz1 yeah, thats thruth

  • They are idiots for real.

  • I wish I was on that , awesome!

  • This was very disturbing to watch. I can't imagine the horror the passengers and the crew went through, along with the people on the ground.

  • thats some fucked up shit right derr

  • This wasn't a plane crash. There was an explosion on the plane. Multiple pilots came out in the months afterward and stated that if they believed their manual rudder inputs could take down a commercial jet, and force the tail of the plane to completely detach itself, they would never fly one again. Over 100 witnesses on the ground saw an explosion on the plane and were never interviewed for the NTSB investigation. Richard Reid was not the first shoe bomber.

  • @fatthand9 are you stupid? there was no bomb or shitt the video explains everything why the plane crashed stupid ass

  • @exosandman No, I'm not stupid. I'm merely stating that the NTSB's investigation of this crash was extremely secretive, and several pilots who have flown the Airbus A300 stated in the days after the NTSB released their final report, that if their inputs could actually force the tail stabilizer and both engines to detach from the plane, they would never set foot in the cockpit again. Would you get on a plane knowing that if the pilot gave too much rudder, everyone would die? I wouldnt.

  • @exosandman No, I'm not stupid. • @fatthand9 - You have actual evidence of this? An inflight breakup can look to uninformed onlookers like an explosion. Bomb detonation would have left traces of explosive residue - NTSB investigators would have looked for this rather than trusting even 500 mug punters on the ground.

"Data is not the plural of anecdote".

  • @gifted67 The chances of dying in a... Plane 1 in 675,638 - Bus 1 in 345,839 - Train 1 in 234,894 - Car 1 in 5,231 - Boat 1 in 3,589

  • Lmfao

  • @Elven2k9 Ya, awesome.

  • How could a pilot make such a stupid mistake??? Are they not trained for thousands of hours? Do they not fly for thousands more until certified? Totally stupid & tragic

  • is it a real vedio????making wat??

  • " Against this background, a spokeswoman for

the Canadian Transport Safety Bureau, which is

performing the investigation, disclosed that there

is 'no evidence' of any movements by the rudder

before its rupture, while Air Transat confirmed that

it had separated when the plane was at cruising

altitude and speed. 'You barely use the rudder at

all in those conditions,' the former A300 pilot said. "

  • @ThamMalaysia 100% correct. I live a quarter mile from where this plane crashed. There was an explosion in the air. A guy working on the roof of the house next door to me that day actually broke his leg when he fell off the roof, because he said a plane exploded in mid air and he though it would land on him. Neither he, nor any of over 100 witnesses in the area were ever interviewed by the NTSB. Investigators came to my house and removed debris without asking a single question.

  • " ..... more than ten seconds before any rudder movements, the 587 pilots were fighting to regain control of the aircraft for reasons that remain unknown: a still-to-be investigated technical failure, or possibly a terrorist bomb. " " Ninety per cent of the witnesses who saw the plane from the ground said they saw smoke or fire billowing from it before the tail and rudder fell off. "
  • @ThamMalaysia Off course they saw smoke, after the engines tore off, there would be smoke.

  • This video is based on what the NTSB

is trying to hide based on its biased report.

Airbus's design is hopelessly flawed. It is

totally idiotic to try to save a few pounds of

weight on something as vital as an airliner's

rudder by using problematic, complicated carbon

fiber composites to make a rudder.

    Go to USRead(dot)com/flight687(dot)html

    and read the real story.

  • This is terrible. I knew someone that died on that plane. Watching this just brings back those memories and makes me feel so sad. RIP Kelvin.

  • Wow want an idiot pilot, he kept putting full rudder..........im only 13 but i would know not to go full rudder i mean omg all that stress back and forth.....idot he cause crash!

  • Looks like a video from 60-s. Bad converting process.

  • i will never flight AA

  • "My - - - - is stuck in it!" "Get out of it!"

  • it rains airplanes in new york. what else is new.

  • Can a plane do 360s like that in mid-air? Did it actually come down spinning like that?

  • @rickyseabra Absolutely, it's called a flap spin.

All of the circumstances would make it nearly 100% doable.

  • Amtrak doesn't have wings nor explode on impact

  • @TheDylanJoyce

no they fall into rivers when barges hit bridges

  • @fordzx2hot ....Nice!

  • @TheDylanJoyce

    yes amtraks fall into rivers

  • Pilot error.

  • Where did they get these two knuckle heads..

  • this is why i fly qantas

  • retarded pilots, hope they get trained better

  • @fataslin Wasn't their fault. AA actually trained them to use the rudder extensively to get out of wake turbulence. On this flight, they weren't fighting wake turbulence, they were fighting their own plane.

  • thats fukin sik!!

  • I remember this.

We all thought it was another terrorist attack.

But that is terrible, I can't imagine what those G forces felt like.

  • @mrceebees14

that's interesting cause most of the pain would come from the g-forces rather than instant death in burning alive upon impact to the earth....

  • @1Bullet2Ki11s Like I said, I can't imagine what those G-forces must have felt like. Your body is basically a water balloon, so most people literally "POP" and turn into insta-goo when that many forces are applied.

Check out the Swiss Air crash if you want to know about crazy G forces, I estimated a 620,000 lbs plane does 350 positive Gs would make the plane weight around 2 billion plus pounds.

    Gravity is a real sumbitch.

  • I swear fucking american airlines ALWAYS crash. FUCKING DICKHEAD MOLIN, IT YOUR FAULT!

  • RIP to Everyone who died on this flight, and yes Pilot error. Very sad.

  • pilots fault?

  • Fucking Molin. Fuck American Airlines

  • i lost my father, mi baby sister, n her mutha on tht plane n i was 8 yrs old nd now im 18 rip to thm november 12,2001 its gonna be the 9th anniversary i luv u guys u'll will be missed but never forgotton

  • oh my goodness, im so sorry, R.I.P. :( xx

  • @jhdvision yah i knoe i was very young and it broke my heart :(

  • @DominicanaPrincessax My thoughts are with you. Love from the UK.

  • i watched this today on tv

  • nice special effects

  • what the fuck u doing crashing that plane there cant u see the children at play sign?

  • well i only ride delta iv never had acrash

  • So Sad, This Fight Was Going to DR, I Blame The AA for their Lack of Maintenance and Care.

  • holy balls, that was probably the worst landing ever

    scary

  • Iam up the the challenge pilot school here i come!!!!!!

  • @ChampionBarron how about you drive then. Actually more likely to die that way!

  • i just heard that another american airines crashes. the ones that i know of are the two on 9/11, american airlines dc 10 crash and now this?? wow

  • omg thats terrible!! im flying to italy tomorrow!!

  • Ive been playing Flight simulator since i was 8 :D

  • damn maybe we should train our pilots better?

  • holy shit... if i lived near there and witnessed this... i would have problems for the rest of my life

  • Why did I not hear about this

  • oh my god! This is truculent.. my solemn condolences to the deceased's families.may their souls rest in peace.

  • sajithhutch@yahoo.co.in

  • That is why there are so many people afraid of flying, after all, it's just a chunk of metal they're sitting on. And only make use of engines to make them fly, if the engine is down, so is the whole plane.

  • Come one everyone let's good get the Trash bags and Scales out.

  • I MISS YOU MOM . R.I.P 11-12-01

  • @datunique100 did this happen to your family...my condolenscences

  • @ReeferBuddy yea man, :(

  • @datunique100 my sincere condolences my brother...my entire family was almost wiped out in an airline crash and I thank god everyday for keeping them safe. I do not know what it is like to loose a family member, but if I ever do, I pray to god to give me the strength to be as strong as you and pull through life, no matter the adversity.

  • @ReeferBuddy < honestlty, your really lucky to have them. i never thought i could be strong about something so drastic like that:( thanks for the embrace.

  • @datunique100 My sincere condolenses if you lost your mother on that flight. That is extremely sad. x

  • @unstoppableguy yea its the worst of the worst, i was only 11. im 20 now

  • @datunique100 Thanks for your reply..

  • still LOOOVE Flying! You all can drive if ya like, but try driving from new york to Paris...Let me know how it goes...

  • @beatchildproductions driving has its own risks...just because your not a drunk driver does'nt mean other people on the road are not....alot of the problems caused during flight is during the take off and landing....but turbulence also does play into it

  • this is intense...

  • Flight attendants are there to make us feel normal. Without them people would realize the insanity of it all - stuck in a metal tube high above the ground.

  • this is why i dont fly anymore, its stupid to put your life in the hands of someone else...it may be more dangerous to drive, but if i die driving at least i was in control of the situation.

  • I think youre right

  • @kioplo When you drive, you're putting your life in the hands of other drivers. These drivers could be drunk, or talking on the cell phone, or trying to control their kids in the back seat...few drivers appreciate the need to stay focused on the road.

  • wow im afraid to go with the plane somewhere now :D jokes

  • thats gotta be the scariest thing in the world I fly alot but its the only way to see my dad, i hate flying & i wanna car so bad

  • Im no pilot, but if an aircraft banks, how come he used rudder instead of ailerons? the rudder I thought controlled yaw and ailerons controlled bank. Sad a lot of people died.

  • I'm not a pilot either, but from my experience driving car, the hard adjustments and trying to fight turbulence is usually what leads to disaster.

Personally if I were the pilot, I would have not used the rudder at all and I would have not steered and just let the plane follow the flow of the turbulence.

  • Horrible way to go. Makes me wanna live everyday to the fullest.

  • This crash was such a tragedy. It's being played on NatGeo now. You can even see on Google Maps the intersection of Newport Ave, and Beach 131st Street being marked as AAL587 in memory of this crash. So so sad. :((

  • The pilot should have cut Thor and pit it back up that's what I do in my micros flight sim

  • the pilot was warned about the weight turbulance before take off. why couldnt he wait until he was given the OK. Make me fear of flying too

  • WTF is wrong with your sound? Do you need to ground your equipment? Really, really annoying!

  • omg!

  • holy sh!t.

  • everybody blamed the terrorists..

  • Push the pedals too hard in a difficult situation or jet wash, and the engines explode and fall off .... makes sense.

  • i avoid flying as much as possible.

  • @gifted67 neh dont, pilot training is getting stricter and stricter. they only let the best of the best get through the applications. this was just one of those situations of 1 in a billion or so

  • @gifted67 Flying is the safest way to travel.

I like the 777 because no one has every died in one. NO CRASHES.

  • @SAMCAMJAIK1 Those statistics are based on one big variable.

There are a HELL of a-lot modes of transportation on the ground then there are in the air. So those numbers are deceiving and that "phrase" a out and out lie.

  • @SAMCAMJAIK1 The 777 has had a crash, but no fatalities. Only the 777, A340 and A380 never had fatalities. But honestly, nearly every single plane crash in modern day airplanes are due to pilot error or miscommunication.

  • @gifted67 y? your way more lickly to die from a car crash than a plane crash

  • @gifted67 y? your way more likely to die from a car crash than a plane crash

  • @MatisDaBest bcs he is not as intelligent as he tries to show

  • ....they should not press the pedals when this happende....

  • dont fly american airlines people they are sh!t

  • No they're not my aunt works there they r great that was a long time ago

  • Oh, my God, that's terrible.

  • What would those poor people be feeling with that sort of g-force. RIP

  • Cisco if you watching this email me with this screen name.

  • all because of the copilot and his simulator training, and planes can't fly without tail fins!

  • This is so sad, I think a plane crash is the WORST way to go, when in the midde of the ocean from Paris to Washington DC, we were in some heavy turb. And that's the SCARIEST thing I've ever went through, Im deathly afraid of flying cuz I have so many dreams about crashing yet I fly 4 times a year.

  • i agree

  • actually cruising is the safest part of the flight, yes it is scary to be up there but you have a lot of leeway before you hit the ground/water and maybe things can be fixed in time. but landings and takeoffs are statistically the most dangerous phases of the flight.

  • WOAH! 2:25 to 2:42 is SCARY!

  • OMFG!! everytime i seen a flight crash, i must think again. On the flight we crashed..

  • R.I.P From England/Egypt.

  • O M F G!!!!!!! RIP all who were killed that day

  • Shit.......... 265 people? RIP. Did EVERYONE on the plane die?

  • All 260 on the plane AND 5 people on the ground died. Very tragic.

  • it was real but is sounded fake

  • It's a recreation...

  • ohhhhhhh my god

    RIP

  • R.I.P. every person in that plane wow that's were terrible and sad.

  • holy shit

    R.I.P.

  • RIP.

That's messed up that it happened so soon after 911

  • not

  • of course u dumb shit!!! they are reanacting what happened!

  • Well, they say plane is the safest way to travel, what can u do?

  • -_-, and why is the camera always there on time ?

  • u noob its a reanacment

    so its a play

  • "you noob" ? LOL nerds ftw? anyhoo, no need to snap i was just askin, this was months ago i commented, calm down

  • if i was in the plane i would have probably died from how much scared i was

  • NICE

  • DUM ASSES

  • Just imagine what it must have been like for the people inside.. :(

  • thats bad thats real bad nasty stuff there

  • brings back the worst memories, 6 blocks away when it happened. Belle Harbor, Rockaway beach Ny

  • No YawDumper? No flight

  • oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh great video!

  • awesome video

  • omg that's the scariest video i've ever seen..... so scary....

  • 'Passangers dont know whats happening?'

Well, only the ones who saw the wing rip off..it would be pretty obvious, ya think?

    Sad :(

  • im scared of going on any plane now

  • I dont know much ab0ut airplanes becuz im only ten but he is stupid! you do not apply full Rudder!!!!!!!!

  • well what do you suggest he should have done.

  • noting no body can do, when time is up it is up. or in this case down

  • why would any pilot apply FULL rudder like that except in extreme x-wind situations. FULL RUDDER...jesus...what was he thinking.

  • my uncles friend was on that. Its sad how he thinks its the wind its only common scents
