  • Roger would've played a great Jesus in a movie.

  • Great!!! i didin't know. Thanks for the info. Best wishes!!

  • thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The purists can all get stuffed. I LOVE Daltrey as Judas! Regarding your pastiche of Tommy, well it kinda sucks, but then that movie wasn't that great. Now the fucking awesome laser show from "The Kids are Alright" on the other hand absolutely rocks. Can you IMAGINE a totally over the top ROCK OPERA of JCR with Daltrey and Robert Plant with the heavy guitars and the Kieth Moon drums, Entwistle bass and the light show! Done by people who actually understand rock operas, not the Broadway types.

  • Who are you? Who are you?

  • '96 was the year i was born!!!

  • god hes awesome

  • I used to have the 1996 recording but I lost it!!!! I've only found it at amazon so far. It's the best cast!

  • Is this downloadable somewhere (the full broadcast)?

  • Not that I know of. It's a bootleg. But you may be able to find it in some JCS fan sites. Who knows?

It is rare and very hard to find.

  • Roger should have been Jesus!

  • I wish they could have had actual footage of him playing Judas, instead of watching "Tommy " Not that I don't love Tommy, but I would just love to see him play Judas. Anyone know when the Who will tour again ?

  • @slipkid24393 Amen, sister!

  • Is there anywhere I can get this album? Or is it not an album? If so then what is it called?

  • It was never released.

  • where can one get their hands on a recording of the whole 1996 radio broadcast?!?!?!?

  • This is from 1992 or 1994. The Who were touring with QUADROPHENIA in '96.

  • @gasmmusic It's 1996.

  • Completely orgasmic. I'd never heard any of Daltrey's Judas. *sighs and smokes another cigarette*

  • fucking marvelous.

  • This is the greatest version of this song I've heard.

The Who is my favorite band!!! WHEEE

  • How ironic at 2:55 you have the man who played Jesus in "Jesus of Nazareth" in the very successful 1977 NBC miniseries.

  • Sorry, I meant 2:43.

  • A late thank you from me :) I can't even describe how much pain in the bottom it is to find "Murder..." and "Forgotten Amnesty files" on VHS...Id really love to have those two movies! But thank you for helping me with the title.

  • What concert is that at :32?

  • That was recorded on Roger's birthday in 1994 at the Carnegie (incorrect spelling?) Hall.

  • Does anyone know who's drumming on this? I suspect it's Simon Phillips.

  • but he looks so good for his age

  • What movie is that at 02:12...And what year is it? Must be the 90s right?

  • HCSociety, I am absolutely blown away by all your videos. Being a Roger Daltrey fan I can't believe all the RD stuff you have. I am amazed. More PLEASE!!!!

  • 2:55 Hilarious!

  • I haven't even started to watch and already it's making my life so wonderful!
