i agree when my gandmother died in 2007 i slept downstairs in her living room and i felt someone or something hold me down i could not scream or move so i do beleve that spirts exsist
The families that lived in the house after the fact. really? Many people especially in a small town live in one home all there lives and pass it down as a sellable heirloom. This house has yet to do that. The hoax here is that believing and disbelieving the lutz couple. The lutz's are dead. RIP. Who in the hell gets with the murderer's lawyer, makes up a story like this etc. Why are people moving in and out of this house all the time? The neighbors don't seem to have jobs transfers and such.
i personally belive in qhosts. There was a family of 6 that died or murdered to be exact. Hoax or no hoax there spirits are still there and remain there so i believe there is supernatural activity qoinq on in that house.
@pattisgirls Your energies and atmospheres within yourself and also the actions that you during life, your mind and morals and values spiritually that you have determine whether or not you're going to see apparitions or not. You can send a person who believes in ghosts to a graveyard and just cause they believe and ask for the ghosts to come doesn't mean the spirits will. Certain people with certain history and energy can anger and provoke the spirits around them.
he claim of cloven hoofprints in the snow on January 1, 1976 was rejected by other researchers, since a check on the weather records showed that there had been no snow in Amityville on the day in question. Neighbors reported nothing unusual during the time that the Lutzes were living there. Police officers are shown visiting the house in the book and 1979 film, but records showed that the Lutzes did not call the police during the period that they were living on Ocean Avenue.[11]
The That's Incredible! feature also showed that the "Red Room" was a small closet in the basement, and was known to the previous owners of the house since it was not concealed in any way. The claim made in Chapter 11 of the book that the house was built on a site where the local Shinnecock Indians had once abandoned the mentally ill and the dying was rejected by local Native American leaders.[10]
They heard a creek in the floor one night and now the house is haunted. Put their asses on a polygraph machine, they'll never pass. The reason they don't admit to it, is because those lawsuits would be coming in left and right.
i think they are telling the truth...i dont believe all the hollywood stuff but i do believe the lutz family...i think weber is a huge piece of crap along with the kaplans
@allanro28 There's too many inconsistencies, inaccuracies and flat out contradictions in the storie(s) to accept the Lutzes' account of what happened. Whatever really went down at 112 Ocean Avenue, the 'ghost stories' started and ended with them and them alone.
@jjobie ...yes..that is true...i just never understood why they would leave all of their stuff behind and flee the house....i dont really know a lot about it....was that a fact or was that just hype...just wondering......a very interesting story though...thanks for your comment...very nice and polite...

Horror or Hoax...Black or White...Truth or Lie...Nothing is that simple. The TRUTH lies somewhere in a shade of gray.
