Rose Kennedy showed enormous strength and fortitude after losing three sons and a daughter, not to mention the other daughter's lobotomy. Anyone else would have been in a mental hospital or drunk for the rest of their life, I daresay. Yes, she turned a blind eye to a lot of bad things and lived in a state of denial, but that's likely how she survived. She carried herself with total class, as opposed to Bill Clinton's loud-mouthed mother. Rose was a real lady.

Yeah I don't know how you can resolve being pro-choice and Catholic, the two are totally incompatible and Teddy being a Democratic standard bearer was probably pro-choice, I don't know for sure, but he is a child of God just like us all and deserves a good send up to God just like we all do, so RIP Sen. Here is an "inspirational" person to a political figure. This grandmothers funeral was seen world wide. Why wasn't Obama's grandmothers funeral in the media? With all the attention Obama gets, the press wasn't even there to talk to a family member? This was Obama's "inspiration".
I think Obama's grandmother died in September went he went to Hawaii to see her. She didn't die on the eve of the election. Sympathy vote before the day of the 2008 election? Hmmmmm.
