Homosexual sexual orientation is NOT a sin. There is nothing for God to correct and so he doesn't. I am yet to meet one single person who has changed from homosexual to heterosexual. Living Waters Sydney leader Ron Brookman still admits that he is attracted to men and so does Haydn (Liberty leader).
God is doing miraculous things in the gay and lesbian community...you are just too blind to notice!!
Of course 'programs' cannot change these people. Their sin is a heart problem that can only be healed by Christ. Only He can transform a sodomite into a saint. (2 Cor 5:17)
The problem is that they will not come to Christ because they love their sin more than God. (John 3:19-20)
Well said Lifterwill. Until LGBTI people are fully accepted at Hillsong and an apology is given, words from the mouths of pastors (like Brian) will be nothing more than just empty words.
While I suppose that it's a journey toward full acceptance, it will be hard for me to believe that Hillsong has changed anything other than the way thet "love the sinner, hate the sin" Maybe I am a mean old guy .. but those "Christians" who apologize to the LGBT community for the way they have treated us in the past are not at all meaningful until the day they stand up and recognize us as equals in the church, fully accepted as who we are. Until then, for me, it's nothing more than posturing.
