  • I love the Dresden Files! There are no pages wasted in those books--action packed from front to back.

  • @Backfromthedeadguy Indeed. The book series has gotten me back into reading novels again after about a 5-year lull. It has reminded me that reading fiction is about having fun and The Dresden Files is the most fun I've had reading in a long time!

On the RPG front, one of the players in my group has offered to run a Dresden Files campaign! We should be starting within the next couple of weeks! I'm totally excited!

  • @Webhead123 That's great! At the next opportunity I'm going to get this game as well.

  • DFRPG is an amazing game! I loved the FATE system before with SOTC and Starblazers but DFRPG really ramps the system up a notch and gives you much more room to create and expand things than the other games did. Its also easier to get my group to play as most of them like Jim Butcher's books and those who have no clue are easily sucked in by telling them that is like what WOD should have been. :)

  • Know of a good way for someone who is perhaps a Pen&Paper newbie to find a Dresden Files group for playing online? :D

  • @VIABellum I don't have any connections specifically for the Dresden Files RPG (I'm looking to run/play a game of it myself) but if you're looking for a great networking site to find other players and GMs or to post call-outs for games you'd like to play, I'd recommend:

Pen and Paper Games (dot com)

I'm a member there by the name of...Webhead (big surprise there!).

  • so is this like a video game or what?

  • @manolaughs The games I'm talking about are "pen-and-paper RPGs", social games you play around a table with books, dice and friends.

  • Dude! That Bob prop is AWESOME. Would your friend be willing to make one for me and if so, how much would he charge? I really, really want to buy one!

  • @daddystabz I can always check with him about it but I can't make any promises. It's a time consuming project and not without front-end costs.

  • @daddystabz I'd be interested in one too if possible. I'd definitely be willing to pay good money for one...especially if there is any way to add an area inside the skull for those flickering battery operated candle lights from Halloween. :)

  • Is Bob by chance related to Murray?

  • @VoraxTranstellaris Indeed. Their mother's father was bald, too!

Murry and Bob are equally hilarious!

  • Great review, dude :-) Yet again.

I always enjoy your views on RPGs. I can't wait for the DC universe book (I actually bought the PDF file).

After watching your review of the Star Wars D6 RPG I actually stared up a new campaign (after I stopped playing the game in 2002). And man... It's just the best of the best :-D No comparison.

Keep the great reviews coming, dude.

    We'll all be watching :-D

  • @MegaFehr Thank you. I just started a new Star Wars D6 campaign myself! Good times!
