  • B.B. King, Eric Clapton... Blending of the major and minor scales is all over the place... And are you only using downstrokes? A bit misleading to not introduce simple hammers and pulls, along with alternate picking in the introduction...

Just saying, its missing a LOT (Besides what is wrong theoretically).

  • @L2112Lif god has arrived

  • ok guys im not trying to be an asshole, but there is some serious mis information this video. he states hes playing in A minor pentatonic. but says that the b3 and b7 are usually left out.... this is the first problem because the intervallic structure of the minor pentatonic scale is 1, b3, 4, 5, b7 most importantly the b3 and b7 are the MOST important chord tones in a minor pentatonic scale . another mistake the minor third (C) is ABSOLUTELY NOT the same as a b9 (Bb)

  • @ucanthandlethetrooch

    Hey I always use the b3rd & b7th, what U on, dude?

    get a life

  • @4theray i said that the b3 and b7 are the most important chord tones idiot.

  • @ucanthandlethetrooch I agree with you.

another thing I can't figure is why guitarist make guitar playing so hard. Just freakin play the guitar for crying out loud..

minor 3rd- flat this sharp that blah blah blah

  • @ucanthandlethetrooch

I think you misunderstood. He said "they" leave it out. Meaning most books, instructors, etc. He's not saying " I don't use them."

  • @ucanthandlethetrooch i hate you.

  • @JRvancity My self-esteem is utterly crushed. I will never recover. Please forgive me sir, I beg of you.

  • I own two of Kenny's Blues Video Lessons which I had purchased on Ebay two or three years back. This guy really knows his stuff! I really like his T-Bone style approach to playing blues guitar. I've been trying to get on his site but it is no longer up. I'm so glad I found him on Youtube. Hope to meet up with you one of these days Kenny! Thanks Jam Play!

  • 'It's not a track meet. Music is more about feeling than how fast you play.'

The Blues Truth in a nutshell.

  • Awesome lesson. Kenny is a super nice guy and cool person, and knows just about everything- can play meticulous Albert King and Albert Collins even at no volume, just super deep, great person to learn from (and play with if you're lucky!).

  • Yep, one of the best video lessons on how to use the blues scale!

  • Kenny Blue Ray is an absolute monster guitarist, and an even nicer human being. Check out his vids, and go see him play if you're in the Bay Area.

  • this is great! I love this vid!
