I bought this when it came out. I was in Houston. Two vinyl discs; only music on three sides. WTF??? Gloria was a bonus disc. I doubt he would have allowed this to be put out. He's on record as saying he only liked the third album, probably because that was the first release he had a modicum of control over as an artist.

There are a bunch of great versions of this 3 chord wonder but none rock it like Jimi did. Simply smokin' the solo sounds like he's ripping huge holes in the space - time continuum with his guitar. Complete sensory overload!
