How sweet! Quaker's so adorable! If I"m not mistaken, many lab rats are handled by humans a great deal, so they'll be ideal pets when they're no longer needed. In fact, I've seen plenty of rats that were treated okay, but never handled outside of the cage, and that made them MUCH more antisocial. It took months for a couple female rats to like being held- they love it now. :)
