  • @broadway96 who were you in The Sound Of Music?. I saw it today at The Media Theatre!

  • I get to work with him in Sound of Music in Media PA for the next few months so excited, awesome guy.

  • GO BARITONES!!!!!!!!!

  • im sorry i thought the a flat on the word soar was awful

  • Ahh...I remember little ol' me going to get his signature. He asked me what my name was, and I told it to him--it's Christine. ^^;; He look up at that and said, "Ohhhh..." XD

  • its so good because of how slow he takes it.

  • O.O wooooooow. now i wanna see him wear the mask and cape

  • I can't believe I only just discovered this man, his voice is AMAZING! <3

  • Just saw him perform this in concert and it literally took my breath away. I was gasping for breath at the last note!

  • Brad was my first Phantom...I had the pleasure to meet him too ! what a wonderful gentleman and how very talented he is. Best wishes to you Brad ! P.S. if I ever get to play Christine you still gonna be my Phantom? ;) (P.S. after the show I said I wanted to play the part of Christine someday and asked if he would be my Erik and he said yes !)

  • @LadyPhanteana Brad was my first Phantom as well! And my second, and my third! I was lucky enough to meet him twice, and he was so kind, and patient, chatting with us and signing programs! It's wonderful to see him again!

  • Simply tremendous!

  • Brad Little was my first and only Phantom. I saw the tour production in 1999. Still gives me goosebumps.

  • the only person who can make this song decent

  • best soar ever (:

  • sexy (:

  • Sorry, Worst version I've heard so far :/

  • Tremulous and tender, indeed. Thanks for sharing!

  • Nailed it

  • haha i search for him because i saw him on star king 2 days ago haha

  • @thuyvyiu lol same here xDD

  • Comment removed

  • I just saw him on Star King and now I see Korean MBC XD lol He's awesome!

  • omg. how can someone have that much control in his voice? awesome job

  • omg. how can someone have that much control in his voice? awesome job

  • AWESOME.

  • sounds a bit like crawford and carpenter

  • toca demais o tecladista toca muito, e o canto é excelente nosso Deus!!!!

  • I love this song, show and video. But I could NOT take it seriously with the Korean subtitles whizzing by. XD

  • his voice was as soft as velvet

  • Coming from a LONG TIME (eg: since the 80's) fan of Michael Crawford... Brad Little is the only Phantom I've seen whom I can say is as good as (maybe even a little better than?) Michael. If he ever tours with POTO in the US again, I'll make a point of seeing him again.

  • There's a touch of mischievousness to this version. I really like it!

  • He has the perfect voice for Phantom

  • How the hell does he reach that top not >_<

  • holy phantom! i love him!

  • Only phantom I've ever seen who I credited with being as good as (and, I guiltily admit, as a big MC fan, maybe even a little bit better than?) Michael Crawford. And without the mask and makeup covering hotness? OMG.

  • i like his little 't!' at the end of the song! :D sexy baritone phantom. i saw him in singapore two years back and he was awesome both on and offstage! :D

  • Anyone else catch the adorable little eyebrow twitch during "only then can you belong to me" ??? HOT!

  • His tecnique is a bit strange. He use frequently the throat and his voice is not always "sul fiato" (sounds very close to Steve Barton style), but his rendition is great

  • Comment removed

  • This guy is good. With a good orchestra behind him, he's be fantastic. Excellent control.

  • Brad Little was my first Phantom when the tour came to Singapore! Was a magical experience.

  • Jeeeem,

I don't know if he played the role on Broadway or not. He played it in the Music Box production, which is one of the US National Tours.

  • concertchoir57,

Brad Little has played the Phantom off and on since 1996. So, around thirteen years.

  • has been on broadway or no?

  • one of my favorites!

  • How many years was Brad Little a Phantom on the stage production version of Phantom Of The Opera? Someone please look it up & tell me!

  • Oh dear. Both he and the pianist need to be informed about the concept of 'legato'. ASAP!

  • @Lindow he is singing legato... -_-

  • I saw him in Shanghai and got his signature. ^^ He asked for my name--it's Christine. <3!!! His voice took my breath away.

  • =@ B-E-A-Utyfull

Baritone and at the same time.

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • OMG!! I love his voice!! so sweet!! and his face expression!!

  • so do I!

  • Love his voice! I get chills everytime he starts singing.Sigh :)

  • Anthony Warlow has the voice of an angel and his rendition is just beautiful..... not saying that this version isnt good......but Anthony owns this song...... michael is excellent also..... but this song belongs to Anthony Warlow...... I must admit i am a HUGE fan of Anthony

  • i agree

  • Really?

  • I LOVE MIchael Crawfords version the most as well. Brads okay though and I like him better then Colm and hes less technical and warmer then Warlow (whos good but doesn't have the vulnerability and seductiveness of Michaels beautiful rendition).

  • I LOVE HIS VOICE!!!太棒了!!

  • he is good.. 不錯的!

  • so do I!

  • Fantastic Brad!!!..

  • His lower register is fantastically sexy, but the high notes are okay. My favorite is still Anthony Warlow (also MY fave Jekyll & Hyde)

  • A bit too much. This song should be more tender/seductive in my opinion. See: Colm's version.

  • I just went back and listened to Colm. Sorry, but Brad's version is by far the most tender, the most seductive and the shear power in his voice rocks the center of my universe!

Also notice that Brad is only accompanied by a piano - that's all he needs versus the full orchestras that accompany most of the other versions here on youtube - and I've listened to them all!

  • "Also notice that Brad is only accompanied by a piano - that's all he needs versus the full orchestras that accompany most of the other versions here on youtube"

Sorry, it does not work that way. If anything, singing with a small orchestra accompaniment can be more difficult. But back to the point, he is very seductive at times, which I liked. But after outside of that, it feels like he is yelling at me a bit. I just don't feel like the volume is appropriate for musicals, but still quite good.

  • Well in this video, he's not in a musical, he's giving a concert on stage.

Music should move you - take you "where you long to be" to borrow a phrase. Brad's voice does that for me without a full orchestra. All the other versions here on you tube - concert or production, full orchestra or not - just don't move me the way Brad does. For me, that's what music should do. Sure, you can pick all the technical aspects apart, but then what do you have in the end?

  • Also, running around on stage makes every song more difficult to sing.

  • this guy more so creeps me out...so yea, hes a bit to yelly to be seductive and he seems disconnected during his high notes like hes thinking fuck ppl are listening but idk hes good but idk just not working for me, hed make a better javert then a phantom

  • Why go back and listen to Colm? Hello, Micheal Crawford's is definitely the best. I'll agree with you on the softer parts being sexy, but Micheal still takes the cake in all aspects. :D

  • I sang beside this man on stage last night! He is amazing!

  • That was... extremely sexy. And if the hot almost-whispering-baritone-ness weren't enough, I watched this after watching his version of Dangerous Game... he is officially my 2nd sexiest Hyde as well.

Haha, if I'd discovered this during my Phantom-obsession days, I'd be freaking out right now.

  • Beautiful and emotional performance!

  • I saw him play the Phantom on the US National Tour way back in September of 1997. Met him afterwards, too. He was incredibly nice:-)

  • dude, he was the phantom? he has WAY too good hair to be the phantom! jk, he has a good voice though

  • check out the Brad Little Information Highway - a little longer hair and short beard pics with his cheetah charity - yummmmm I go to sleep with him most nights with this video!

  • He was the Phantom when I saw this PotO on tour many moons ago. This is my favorite song and my new favorite version.

  • not bad at all actually =D

  • Good grief, this is the single most seductive video of MotN that will ever exist! Any Christine would be a moron if she left this man for Raoul! I mean, his low notes are unbelievably meefy, his high notes make me swoon, and he's just so sexy! 'Music shall carress you' and 'Touch me, trust me' are the best phantom moments I've ever seen.

  • Just saw Brad Little tonight live in Key West with Neil Berg's 101 Years of Broadway. I heard it, I felt it, believe me I let my fantasies unwind! You should see him with his sexy beard and longer hair. yummmmmm

  • This is what the Phantom of the Opera should sound like. Michael Crawford is wonderful, but he lacks the depth and the warmth that Brad possesses.

I would fall for the Phantom if he sounded like this, too.

  • @WildQueenie

    however, he's happily married

  • @WildQueenie Yah but unlike the ACTUAL phantom, his face isn't completely fucked up :P

  • Flying over to see Brad in Taipei, reviving the role of Phantom in July! Whee!

  • is there a website with ticket info?

I wish his BLIH site would update - the monthly calendar link isn't working, so can't tell where he'll be.

  • ...and sporting his new goatee, his new nickname is "McSteamy." This man is wonderfully talented! Saw him in New Albany, Indiana.

  • ummm.... where the crap did this beautifully meefy voice come from?

  • Where's the rest of the band?

  • Shouldn't the Phantom have a French accent? ;)

I saw Brad perform last weekend in Napa, California. He puts on a great show. His personality is very charming and entertaining. And of course his voice is just amazing.

  • Hey, I was there too! Wonderful, isn't he? Had you seen him before?

  • Nope. This was my first time seeing Brad. Hopefully, it won't be my last.

  • I hope it's not your last also! He just gets more wonderful every time. This was my 7th time seeing him, I've been stalking him for years. LOL.

  • Well, technically. But in the same spirit that a Japanese production's Phantom would have a Japanese accent, as he would if he were performing in another country's production, a British or American Phantom will have a British or American accent.

  • This is amazing. Brad Little is amazing.

The only comment that I have, is that The Phantom traditionally should have that Brit accent.

  • saw brad live as phantom on the HK POTO tour! it was amazing~! i saw him and the rest of the cast too..but sadly did not hav my camera OR pen and paper to ask for autographs or pictures...ah well. i hope that i can see POTO again. Sydney POTO this year was great too..but i forget who was phantom ^_^"

  • he was the only phantom who made me cry - he has emotions. he moves people.

  • Hee looks like Elvis Presley from the side of his face.. Sings amazing.. The song really suits hus voice well. baritone is best fro this song, I think.

  • He played the Phantom the third time I saw it. Good stuff.

  • wow very powerful and alot like anthony warlow!!! definetly in my top ten now

  • Brad is a great performer, my sister and I have seen him quite a few times, as the Phantom, the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Javert. He is very friendly when you ask for a photo or autograph, which is cool. :D

  • OMG!!! This song sounds the best when a baritone sings it!!! This guy is seriously AMAZING!!! Baritones have that "warm" tone to their voice. His voice is gentle yet hypnotizing! WOW!

  • he sounds more bass to me

  • Without a doubt he is a lyric baritone. This is what a real baritone soudns like and not those 'baritenors' that dominate much of musical theatre these days.

Someone mentioned Anthony Warlow... He is a different animal. He is a god of voice and can sing either baritone or tenor. From a technical standpoint he does things I have never heard anyone else do. He can 'turn' as a baritone one song and then shift his passagio up a third and turn as a tenor. It is a freaky thing to behold.

  • I saw him live when the company was touring in Portland, OR. He is almost as good as Michel Crawford!

  • Baby gained a little weight since I seen him in Sacramento as Phantom but whatever he has an amazing voice and I'm proud to say I expierenced him

  • Brad was the most amazing Phantom ever.

His singing dynamic and acting ability are unparalelled.

With soft buttery singing you simply get the music aspect in a very beneign way. The acting and emotional part of the Phantom is critical to conect audience with the story, impact, and music together. When Brad mocks Raul, or when he screams, it is pertinent.

The Phantom in Vegas and in Southern California this year have been ok but uninspiring.

    Come back Brad.

  • he' a tenor...that A flat doesn't belong to a baritone

  • He's a lyrical baritone. He has the tamber and lower range of a true baritone, but can also get up into that A range.

  • i really enjoy his singing.he has a softness & charisma about him similar to michael crawford although their voices are different.both draw you in & there is a certain sexiness about their singing.i enjoy the phantom portrayed in this manner rather than in a harsh & angry tone.i don't get what some see in the phantoms that are very deliberate & upset throughout the production.i appreciate the change in emotion but with a softness that let's you feel their emtotion.thanks for the video.

  • It must be/looks really hard just standing there without interacting with a Christine and the stage.

  • True Baritone baby!

  • I don't know why but the seriousness of the way that he is singing this song makes me bust out laughing. LOL!!!

  • only becuz you're a stupid. Gosh How an earth can you laugh at such a beautiful song?

  • I agree, it's a beautiful song and he sings it well. Lighten up a little. :)

  • I also agree. This is one of the best versions. He hits the lows with oomph and hits the highs with sensitivity. It's great.

  • Not to mention-he's so CUTE! (: Love his voice!

  • I ADORE Brad Little. I wanted to go to this concert but I had a Choir concert the same day. So I had to miss it. Damn.

  • I saw Brad as the phantom in 1996. He sounds just as good now as he did then. He was my first phantom. I still get chills when I listen to him.

  • Please come check out my version of Music Of The Night and tell me what you think. Thanks

  • Wow! Saw him in the interview post. Didn't imagine he'd be THIS good! Great voice.. nice and deep, AND he can go high, too!

  • Very good performance.

  • Very good performance.

  • Koreans wouldn't know real singing if it hit them in the face.

  • this coming from a guy who's calling an american man korean ;)

  • This guy is crap!! He clearly has no sense of what legatto singing is! His voice is so detached. Breath Management was all over the show and tone was consistently harsh and forced. Also in regards to presentation of the song, he sung it more like a pop star than the phantom... Singing technique needs work and he needs to be more grounded in his performance style!! Anthony Warlow is still my number 1!!

  • ok every actor performs the role in his own way. His rendition is his own. And also every country performs shows differently.. Warlow moved alot when he performed this in concert

  • Oh yeah and btw he was apart of the singapore tour which they kept ana marina for when it went on to australia but gave little the chop in favour of anthony warlowe. :-)

  • oh also if they didn't want him to play the phantom they would never have cast him OH yeai went there theres no come back for that

  • There is no excuse for an amatuer performance. This wasn't a rendition, he just does not have the skill to add the layers this song needs. When Warlowe performs it in his concerts he still essentially tells the story with conviction which is the most important thing. This guy stands on stage and gives an amatuer wet blanket performance.

  • So, if Mr.Little is as bad a say he is, than how come hes toured all around America as Phantom, and gone around the world preforming Phantom. I'll admit, I do think Warlow is a much better Phantom, but I would never say such harsh things about Brad. He's a wonderful Phantom, and should be credited properly for it.

  • Im sorry, i forgot to add this one last thing..

notice that Brad has to stand still becase his Mic is on a stand, warlow's was portable, meaning it was attatched to a cable and he could hold it in his hand allowing him to move around more ;)...

  • Why does he sing by forcing the note through his throat? The sound is supposed to resonate from the abdomen, not the throat.

  • Brad Little is good and I'm sure a nice guy. But I still enjoy and think Michael Crawford has by far the most musically gratifying delivery of this song I have heard. That's right-I SAID IT. Brad Little couldn't do that. Didn't mean to insult Brads fans but if "kinkysausage" hadn't gone out of there way to insult MCs fans and be sooooo obnoxious in the way they did it(plus drag Michaels name into this for know reason) then I wouldn't have been obnoxious back! Peace and Love everyone!

  • great. looks a bit like Matthew Perry

  • Brad little is my uncle!! He's so amazing!!

  • What kind of voice does your uncle have? Is he a bass, baritone, or what? I can't tell. lol!

  • Brad is definitely a Baritone...a textbook baritone!

  • wow.. so perfect for his voice.. (it's rarely that can be said for this song).. Brilliant.

  • wow~~~

Please come to Korea as soos as!!

    We miss him!

  • Wow!!!! I have never heard this guy. He is GREAT!!! Jahay

  • A baritenor? He might be at that. But so is Anthony Warlow and his tone's are dulcet.

I bet this guy is a great Phantom but I prefer Warlow for the purity of the song. Anthony takes this song to heaven.

  • I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting with him backstage for one of his final shows of Phantom of the Opera.. My God.. what a fantastic moment.. What an amazing man!!

  • being a hopeless tenor, i am jealous of his perfect, highly resonant baritone. it makes this by far the most musically gratifying delivery of this song i have ever heard. thats right - I SAID IT. Michael Crawford couldn't do that.

  • his baritone is impeccable. very deep

  • I would just like to say that I'm willing to help Brad "make the music of the night" any time. Repeatedly.

  • Oh my god. I love love love Brad Little. I was supposed to see him in LA but it ended up he was sick and TMG understudied for him. TMG did a fair job, but I wanted Brad! This makes up for it, though. Thanks for the clip!

  • He is so sexy!!!

  • Wow.......just wow......

  • certainly one of the best phantom ever

  • Woot! Lovely

  • I ADORE Brad Little

  • we are here to look good comments about the video not to see hot girls if u wanna put this comments go to a chat room

  • Ooh! Thank you for the video!

I saw him several times as the Phantom and he is my absolute favorite! ^_^

  • what a powerful voice

  • One of the best Phantoms I've ever seen, and one of the nicest people I've ever met! His MOTN is unlike any other. Wonderful performance.

  • I think so. :D. I've also met him several times personally. I am really respecting him as a human-being. He is the best person I've ever met.

  • What have i been saying... Baritones are better as Phantoms. Listen to him, he makes the Phantom sound enchanting yet like a man! He is a true Phantom along with other Baritones such as Earl, Howard and Anthony

  • I absolutely agree with you. I love Earl, Howard and Anthony as well.

  • Great to hear! They make the Phantom more sexy and rough. Like he has been through a lot, which he has! Some tenors are great aswell, and most of the times, it depends on acting. They may sing good, but it they act badly, it ruins everything. I think the best Phantom actor is Hugh Panaro.

  • Thank you so very much. AT LAST a pretty good quality clip of Mr Little. Captures so much the passion and grace which he pours into all of his performances.

  • I love this video. Thank you so much for posting it. I just watched the Phantom of Opera in Singapore 2 weeks ago. It's wonderful !!! I love Brad Little's Phantom. He has such a wonderful voice. So full with emotion. I'm hooked.

  • Did Brad sing "Let your FAM-tasies unwind...." somewhere along 2 min 53~55 sec? Adorable.

  • Oh dear, is that a phlub we hear? XD

  • oo where?

  • The PHAM-tasies bit. 8D

  • He is either 'little' all that Piano is very big! lol

  • WOW! I never saw Brad in the show but I want to now! I think he had one of the best voices I've heard singing this song!

  • This is the Brad I know & love. This was my first Phantom so many, many years ago. What a wonderful performance. If *anyone* has this on DVD, I will pay good money. Message me. Thanks.

    Phantom Little

  • O YA! I met him! He is my friends Uncle! (as u can see LOL) HE is soo cooL! really nice to! WOAH ONE OF IF NOT THE BEST PHANTOMS TO DATE!

  • i dont know why but i'm not so impressed
