In timetrial nobody can hear the sound of the engine as it is an individual race against the clock. look at how fast he goes through the corner without his legs moving and how little effort he makes to peddle. His legs are not stressed at all during the entire race. Engine!

i went crazy today and averaged a meager 20.3mph on an entirely flat class one bike path. so that tells me where i stand vs world-class time trialist fabian cancellara.

this guy is like a horse. he powers away with inhumane wattage. i guess you gotta be big to be a good time trialist but how do you explain contador being a really decent time trialist also??? maybe i just dont have what it takes genetically.

Contador's legs aren't exactly tiny. Oxygen uptake, heartrate, vo2max, etc play a much bigger role than muscle mass anyway. Not to mention the volume of trianing the pros do...centuries day after day..

@zoomustard Obvioulsy a motor is not going to make a chump to one of the best Time Trialist. But if used properly it can make a world of difference in the professional world where they shave their legs for performance sake lol.

For example as you saw in Tour of Flanders, Fabian pulled away from Boonen when both seem to be at their max. If (big if) in that case fabian was using his motor even if it was for a small duration, that would basically decide the race.
