was at poppy reds last night and i tell you what bull dog still got the moves... and as steppers crew said ...respect to all UK jazz dancers...some of the young ones were tearing up the floor last night...but big shout out goes out to all the veterans....nice
That was a mental dance off. No disrespect but how did Lance from Luton not make the top 3? He killed of man with those floor moves. The Nottingham boys had a different style what was happening in the earlier days from say '80 to '85 not really my thing. Bulldog as ever was solid. As someone on here already said the difference between the Brum crews and the London crews were the Brummies were into a lot more Jazz Ballet where as the Londoners were step and floor move focused.
glad i found this vid..love it, was there a no.2 ??....for me the notts guys shoiuld have taken, it..no disrespect to bulldog.....its just i love there style, .....BIG shame the newcastle chap did,nt make the top 6, ..?????......he was tops, and did,nt get to worn out, like some of them....
@TheAremo i did not go to jaffa's but i went to the other places you mentioned . I remember back in 1986 when island record company asked me and jerry to do videos and sign a contract with them . But jerry refused to sign and they needed both of us to sign the contract ! and i could of done with the money and i begged jerry and he still refused ! i will never forgive him for that ! I will hate him forever ! and by the way he is shit !
Fantastic! Love it too bits. Much of the dancing reminds me of Jazzfunk moves we used to do here in the UK during the late 70s and 80s. We had a great underground Jazzfunk scene back then which I remember so fondly.
hi there it's me marshall from idj. i don't know what i was doing around that time but if i entered that contest i might of kicked some ass ! iwonder why gary nurse idj dsid not enter ? but jerry idj was in it but he did not shine that day ! he's a lot better than that !
Bulldogs a great dancer but the real jazz dancers from birmingham back in the day were the twins Rik and Ty and also Ben Love from Nottingham they were the masters ask bulldog and he will agree.Lorcano jazz room is where it all happened.
Thanks for that pal..
