I am not lying. I lived in former Yugoslavia when it was under Tito and I never ever remember paying or filling out any extensive forms when seeing a doctor. It was never an issue or something that needed to be discussed. Everyone had a right to see a doctor and get treatment. There was a wait to see a doctor maybe an hour or 2 at most if it was busy.

However, even if you were to deduct borrowed money, Chinese or otherwise, the U.S. is still by far the largest military power. Considering that if you were to combine Latin American, Middle Eastern, and N. Africans spending it would only account for roughly 8 percent of global expenditures I disagree with him. The U.S. accounts for 48%, combine western Europe and you are up too almost 70% of the global total. This isn't to say that military attacks couldn't be carried out on the western world but to do so would be suicide. The only ones who have the balls to do so are groups who don't belong to one country.
It is a well known fact that our troops are over spent in manpower in Iraq. Troops are being forced to return to as many as three tours of duty three. What would happen if another country did decide to invade the US? Would we have enough troops here to defend ourselves?

I am a Canadian who watched Obama last night with an optimism not felt since the early days of the JFK presidency. Non-Americans have endured the past 8 years with a sense of sadness & dismay as the US beacon of hope became a cloud of darkness. Obama's wisdom, compassion, inclusiveness and sincerity rise head & shoulders above the hatred and divisiveness of his opponents. His presidency will be inspirational, and through it both the US and the world will heal, and reason will trump despair.

I praise Bill Clinton, because he helped the broken Welfare System with reform that taught self esteem, helped the clients learn how to interview, dress appropriately for the work force, set up affordable day care, get broken cars fixed, and line up sustainable employment. The system went after the dead beat absent parent to pay child support. A new workforce was developed, and welfare cut back. My job was over, we made a difference and went on. Some retired, some got other jobs in govt.

I worked at a NJ county Welfare office in the nineties, when Pres. Clinton reformed the Welfare laws. My job was cut along with many others, but I got a new job in the business world, and earned more than when working for the government, and still able to help people in need. I watched his program work, our nation had a balanced budget and surplus. THEN...came Bush. I need not say anymore.
I was hurt in an accident, and have a spinal cord injury. My husband is working for little more than minimum wage in retail. He once earned twice as much as a blue collar worker. I wrote a book and it has been published, and we are getting by. We keep expenses down, do not charge anything, pay with cash, and find things to do that do not cost anything. We pay taxes, go to church, and vote.
I just turned fifty seven, and have six lovely grandchildren. I want them to be as proud of this country as I had been, growing up in middle America, believing we were the greatest nation on earth. My dad was a union organizer, blue collar worker. My brother worked 43 years for Ingersoll Rand when they closed their doors in our town, he was forced into early retirement. He died 2 years later at the age of 62. At one time every family in our area had a relative that worked for I.R.

If you look at all the Socialist countries that have govt. healthcare, none of them are efficient and truly humanitarian and compassionate. Who wants to fill out a hundred forms before you can get your head stitched-up...or have to wait for months and months before you get a CT scan or MRI to locate the tumor that has continued to grow inside you and could have been treated! I am not lying. I lived in former Yugoslavia when it was under Tito and I never ever remember paying or filling out any extensive forms when seeing a doctor. It was never an issue or something that needed to be discussed. Everyone had a right to see a doctor and get treatment. There was a wait to see a doctor maybe an hour or 2 at most if it was busy.

Obama's fools can spin this any way they want, but I've been watching this election since the very beginning, and Obama has ALWAYS said that there would be lower taxes if you make less than $250,000. The first thing I noticed in his infomercial yesterday was the caption of "$200,000" and my email box exploded. Add to that, Joe Biden said "$150,000". What Obama "promises" means NOTHING. Everything he says in in direct opposition to his past actions. He has NEVER supported cuts.

It is clear to me that those who want Sen. McCain, only see black and white, and never see gray. I do not mean this in the racial sense. Well I didn't address borrowed money and the large increases in U.S. spending, which in my opinion are the greatest threat to U.S. security. However, even if you were to deduct borrowed money, Chinese or otherwise, the U.S. is still by far the largest military power. A good source on this can be found if you google "Global Military Budget" and click on the top link. My original comment was directed to dingy123damn, since he seems to believe that Venezuela and Iran are real threats...

Considering that if you were to combine Latin American, Middle Eastern, and N. Africans spending it would only account for roughly 8 percent of global expenditures I disagree with him. The U.S. accounts for 48%, combine western Europe and you are up too almost 70% of the global total. This isn't to say that military attacks couldn't be carried out on the western world but to do so would be suicide. It is a well known fact that our troops are over spent in manpower in Iraq. Troops are being forced to return to as many as three tours of duty three. What would happen if another country did decide to invade the US? Would we have enough troops here to defend ourselves?

Look at the 29 videos here on YouTube, there are actually people who think that Bush orchestrated the attacks on 9/11. I think that it is paranoid rubbish, but everyone has their own ideas. Perhaps we can't trust any of the politicians. But no one can deny that Cheney made money off of Shock and Awe, and Bush's brother Marvin made money off of the Trade Center Corp. before 9/11.

I am a Canadian who watched Obama last night with an optimism not felt since the early days of the JFK presidency. Non-Americans have endured the past 8 years with a sense of sadness & dismay as the US beacon of hope became a cloud of darkness. Obama's wisdom, compassion, inclusiveness and sincerity rise head & shoulders above the hatred and divisiveness of his opponents. His presidency will be inspirational, and through it both the US and the world will heal, and reason will trump despair.

Actually, Al Qeida released a statement that they would like McCain to win. It was announced on CNN. They hope for McCain because they know that he would continue the war ( Jihad is their goal). I think a unified America ( regardless of color ) is a strong America. Obama unites americans. Americans working together can accomplish so much more. McCain is devisive and plays to people's ignorance and racial fear.That weakens a country.

I'm a registered Democrat and an ex-Obama supporter. When the DNC banned two TV stations, I said, OK. When they banned Fox News, I said no problem. When they censored Joe the Plumber, I said well, whatever. But when I went to Barack Obama's own video's to voice my support, I get "Comment Pending Approval"????? That was the last straw! Censorship is tyranny and Obama has just censored the wrong person. My vote has just been changed to John McCain!

I guess that you don't still have your job. The hardest thing for me to understand is how you could praise Bill Clinton but he is the President who cut your job. As far as I know, Republicans have created more jobs than lost. There's a brand new Toyota plant being built in Mississippi that will create hundreds of jobs. I think that's great under a Republican administration! Are you not still proud of your country? Is it not still the best?

I praise Bill Clinton, because he helped the broken Welfare System with reform that taught self esteem, helped the clients learn how to interview, dress appropriately for the work force, set up affordable day care, get broken cars fixed, and line up sustainable employment. The system went after the dead beat absent parent to pay child support. A new workforce was developed, and welfare cut back. My job was over, we made a difference and went on. Some retired, some got other jobs in govt.

I didn't like all of what Bill Clinton did, nor did I like all of what Ronald Reagan did. I am not a blind follower, I would never drink anyone's Kool Aid. I have personally know Politicians, and have had them in my family. I don't see divisions, because I do not allow myself to be stubborn, and closed minded. If I would have had my way in this election Ron Paul would be our next President, and I didn't agree with everything he said either.

I worked at a NJ county Welfare office in the nineties, when Pres. Clinton reformed the Welfare laws. My job was cut along with many others, but I got a new job in the business world, and earned more than when working for the government, and still able to help people in need. I watched his program work, our nation had a balanced budget and surplus. THEN...came Bush. I need not say anymore.

I was hurt in an accident, and have a spinal cord injury. My husband is working for little more than minimum wage in retail. He once earned twice as much as a blue collar worker. I wrote a book and it has been published, and we are getting by. We keep expenses down, do not charge anything, pay with cash, and find things to do that do not cost anything. We pay taxes, go to church, and vote.

I just turned fifty seven, and have six lovely grandchildren. I want them to be as proud of this country as I had been, growing up in middle America, believing we were the greatest nation on earth. My dad was a union organizer, blue collar worker. My brother worked 43 years for Ingersoll Rand when they closed their doors in our town, he was forced into early retirement. He died 2 years later at the age of 62. At one time every family in our area had a relative that worked for I.R.
