  • This song is nice, but why can't the people in the backgound keep quiet? Don't they know it's very rude to talk during a performance? Random I wonder if I can come to the wedding.

  • Let's get married.

  • gotta love the avett brothers, always brightens my day, such a good/clean sound

  • 4 people arent getting married in january, or maybe at all... :)

  • Man, I was living in Augusta when they did this performance. I wish I'd known about it.

  • I'm so proud to be from North Carolina, the same state as the Avett brothers

  • I heard them for the first time last night, watching Austin City Limits. I knew there was a reason I watch tv......

  • Found this song on satellite music...love this song... they played not too far from my town! hope to hear more from them!!

  • Sensacional!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "ROCK ON" ...clearly not a ROCK ON kind of song. ahahaha

  • @pieextatic123

    FOLK ON! :D

  • one of the best songs on i and love and you. one of their best songs period, in my opinion...but then again every song is incredible.

  • love this song

  • "she knows which birds are singing, and the names of the trees where they're performin...in the mornin " love it !

  • i love the banjo... great song!

  • Outstanding song.

  • goddddd, the avetts touch my heart every time they open their mouths.

  • Why did I resist getting into these guys for so long?

  • Live=Better. Evertime. .

  • You damn right! I have always thought that since i saw them at the Peace Center awhile back!

  • Best Avett show I've seen in Augusta fa sho.

  • Seth- You are brilliant !!!!!!

From country was to late 2009 i have not been disappointed, i dont care how big or famous TAB gets i will always love them................for the music!!!!!

  • i think recording in the studio so much has caused them to lose some of that raw emotional fire that make the avett brothers who they are. I dont know what there plans are for the next album, but its only a matter of time before that natural raw energy comes back out in their music.

Thats what they know and they can only avoid it for so long. with that said, i still love the new album, but there sound has changed.

  • this is an awesome video, and such a great song! i've been a fan for years, and even though the new album is different, it's still awesome.. and they are still and always will be incredible when they perform live.

  • it took me a while to get used to the EP, but once i did i really enjoyed it. i love the album. the shows, as far as the boys are concerned, are the same, but the venues are bigger and the crowd is more annoying.

  • @Paige5461 I completely understand, but if it weren't for those sorry crowds, I may have never been given the oppurtunity. These men restore my faith in music.

  • So gooooood !!!!!

  • These guys are unreal. How can they still make songs like this? It blows my mind

  • wow unc, you might need to keep listening if you think that's the only good song off the album.

  • I'd say he is right, well not completely but its one of the only 3 or 4 that i actually feel the raw emotion and passion that I link to the REAL Avett Brothers, the old boys from Carolina who come on stage with a certain fire that simply isn't present on the new album.

the only songs i appreciate on I and Love and You are January Wedding, Ten Thousand Words, Laundry Room, Head full of doubt..., and MAYBE i and love and you....

as for Kickdrum Heart and And it Spread...

  • i believe that they made the same mistake they made with Wanted Man and Sally's Lover, these songs should NOT be recorded in the studio. It rips the song of the energy and life in my opinion.

I just don't like the direction these boys are traveling.... it seems like a road towards stardom, towards money, fame and all the things they preach against in a few of their old humble songs.

i just miss the old Country Was boys...

but I've supported them for almost 5 years now so i wish them luck.

  • @Lionandpsalter i can hear what you're saying, and hope it isn't true. though my favorite album is emotionalism.

  • Only good song off the new album. . .

  • hells yeah

  • favorite song from the new album!
