I'm not familiar with the Annabelle character, and I don't know what the assignment may have been to write this, so I may lack context. But the parts I liked best implied a mysterious kind of "life" for the doll. Anything reading as straight description was less compelling to me. Have you tried trimming it down to the barest essentials to see what it may look like? You say it's not one of your best, but maybe it could be. Just thoughts for your disposal. Thanks for sharing!
