@skellytoon273 the Skate games are put together way better, or at least the first one is I'm not sure about the 2nd or 3rd as I haven't played them, but IMO the Tony Hawk games are fun from beginning to end and you don't have to practice for hours before getting a good enough grip on the controls to have fun. And fun is all that matters to me, not graphics.

People ripping because its not realistic, dont be silly. The whole point of the whole Tony Hawk Series is to entertain people, its a casual game, something i've played on just for a laugh about, you can tell with the over the top characters, and gameplay, and should not be compared to the skate games which do the opposite, offering realism, which is just as fun, as i like both games a lot. Its a bit like saying every FPS should be realistic, therefore UT3 etc are bad games, but they are not.

i played the crap out of this until i bought skate 2. but considering this came out in 2006...it wasnt a bad skateboarding game, i had alot of fun with it. i'd have to say getting sick on the classic goals are the hardest. not to mention some of the spot challenges...damn.

haha i thought it was stupid tht 95 percent of the handrails in this game have madd kinks at the end, on the ps2 version they got their frntside and backside shit mixed up, they were some small positives but overall this game didnt meet my expectation in terms of levels, realism, and lets not forget the chessy storyline. 5 / 10.

I bought Skate for the 360 (or PS3, can't remember), and I hate it. Like you said, who cares about realism in a video game? I think Skate's boring and it lacks any wow factor, IMO of course. You know what we really need though? A new SSX game or even a better, a new Downhill Domination.
