  • how the f does an inverted hover work?????????????

  • cut dog or cat

  • It's up to us to help each other because very seldom does the person who posted the video respond to questions. I am thinking of buying this helicopter. My 4 channel skills are getting better so why not upgrade. Sorry I'm no help at the moment.

  • i have that same heli!!

  • i'd like to know what to do if it's unaligned ? and how can i see it. i mean, ok i put the calibration tool, so what ? i'd appreciate an answer, thanks !

  • how fast is it

  • Very good video. Simple and easy to understand. I wish I have the same weather here in SF

  • how much flight time per battery?

  • @Kpilot786457 I just picked one of these heli's up 2 days ago.....Flight time averages about 5- 7 minutes depending on how much you beat on it.

  • @robbie2737 k thx

  • Thanks now my blade msr is faster :)

  • tool

  • Fast heli

  • does the advanced swash plate settings make it easier to fly inside?

  • Awesome video, I just bought the Blade MSR after purchasing like 5 collective pitch small heli's in the past from the toy store in the mall. I only wish I had known about this heli before wasting so much money. THANKS!

  • I want one!

  • really amazing

    austria

  • Hi Joe, i just purchased my MSR blade and have been working on adjusting my trim settings. It seems to be hovering ok, however the helicopter keeps on tail wagging. Any trouble shooting ideas on how to fix this ? Thanks.

  • great video

  • What tool should I use? Cuz I tried, but they did not come off and I dont want to destroy the heli...

    Plz help!

  • Hey what are the settings on your dx7 for the mSR?

  • About the calibration tool, if your swashplate is loose, after a bad crash, you put on the calibration tool like he showed and then use your fingers and lightly pull up on the swashplate, holding the heli by the shaft with your thumbs on top. It doesn't take much, so do it carefully.

  • I'm buying this right now! I can get it for $104 with free shipping on a cyber-monday deal. :)

  • how much flight time can you get on a single charge?

  • sick heli

  • I love this heli, but I think the 5 n1 units burn up after awhile, but as for your video, Awesome!!

  • Thank you so much for sharing. I just got into it and am learning about helicopters and making mods.

  • i love your videos, i wish people wuld just enjoy the video and stop critizizing. keep up the awsome vids, i got the blade 120 sr yestarday and its amazing. cant wait for some scale bodys!

  • I don't mean to correct you, your right most of the time anyway, but the swashplate tool, when you insert it, the long end (top) goes over the links leading to the grips. not that it matters much, just thought I'd mention that.

great video by the way, as always.

  • There seems to be a lot of slop in my in my rotor between the swash plate and other components. Should I just buy new parts and rebuild? I just purchased the heli yesterday, although i have definitely put at least 3 hours of flight on the heli.

  • @ joehandsome99: Great Video! I have an MSR too, it's got around 300 flights now still with the original main frame, landing skid and motors! I don't give much on tuning parts but I really recommend you the precision flybar from microheli, it really improves the control precision and stability because it's got a ball bearing in the middle, not just a hole which wears out as the stock one.

    Have fun with your mSR!

  • Cool ! Thanks for sharing :)

  • @bassax7045 Try using a flight sim. It may save you some crashes. Thanks for watching.

  • @bassax7045 Cool your heels before typing. I made a suggestion that maybe you should try a flight sim. Thats all. I dont own stock in the company nor do I sell spare parts for this heli.

BTW, if you cant fly it stock, why do you think aluminum upgrades will help you?

  • I started with a coaxial helicopter first. That's a good place to start before going with a tail-rotor.

  • @bassax7045 I agree with joehandsome99 man, he's right! I own an mSR too and I think for it's size, it's very tough! You have to understand that the mSR is not an outdoor helicopter. Sure you can fly the mSR outside but as an experienced pilot you should know the limits of your aircraft so you don't overstrain it. Aluminum parts make it more precise to control but they won't help if you crash it, they are just more expensive to replace...

  • @MrLowAltitude ok when i say i like it better to fly any heli with cf blades for more precise handling ,,you would say ,ï should be able to fly with plastics"" i could ,,but the point is it flies nicer with carbonfibers and would be more precise ,,any remark then about a sim would have nothing to do with the subject,,if racedriver wants to chance to better tyres tou dont advice drivinglesson instead ,,get my drift here?

  • @bassax7045 Oh and by the way: Flight-Sims are great to practise the control reflexes! I have many hours (Not 3D, just normal flying) on different types of rc-helicopters but I still use my simulator sometimes if I want to try new things!

  • @MrLowAltitude i use simulator every day ,,but it was a inapropriate answer to treat me like i dont know shit,,even with flying capability ,,a heli can still lack quality in its stock version,,i just asked if the upgraded version would be in production,,and the answer was that i should use sim ,,how stupid is that

  • @joehandsome99 im cool man ,,it just felt like giving a standard answer to a real question ,,,i can fly it ,,its just that its very fragile when using it outdoors ,,indoor flying keeping it hole is no fun ,,so with stronger parts it would be way better

  • You may use micorheli CNC spare parts. It looks much better.

  • OW-SOME

  • @Paps3 thanks

  • @Paps3 His shirt is OW Some :D

  • hey joe take 4 to 6mm off the ends of your flybar. It will help

    with tail blowout,

  • @Percula777 thanks for the tip.

  • Hi joehandsome99

When i saw youre video and when you flyed you heli i did start wondering if you control the heli almost exactly how it flyes around or if the heli lives his own life a bit.

    Thanks on forhand

  • @Photoshopercs3 the wind will blow it around a little since it only weighs one ounce, but it is fun to fly.

  • Nice. How long you been flying?

  • Nice video, I liked the whole "hold it under a magnifying lens and talk to it" that you did, really these things are so small it's nice to see a close up like that.

  • @Aekero thanks for watching.

  • that is an amazing heli. although it gave me a bit to much confidence. i picked up a Blade SR yesterday and today, i'm going back to the hobby shop for new blades and tail boom

  • @1911Solution88 try using a flight sim. It will help you learn to fly and not spend as much on parts. Thanks for watching.

  • thank you sir for sharing your infos :) *****

  • @HAYUPAKARINGID thanks kindly.

  • i got this as my very first heli, i think its perfect just so long as you take it easy when you start out.

  • well done Eric so informative keep up the good work,,it helps me with my blade msr a lot,,

  • @jerzee91 thanks for watching.

  • Glad I watched your video, Learned alot. Now to get out the calibration tool that I didn't notice when I brushed though the manual.

  • @oldude45 thanks for watching.

  • Great video. Do you think the MSR is harder to fly than the Blade CP?

  • @Jeremybaland I got both of them and I also own cx 2 and mcx. but I think you should get msr it easiler than cp!

  • Awesome thanks. Going to go get one now. Maybe I will post on here me crashing it. ha ha ha

  • @Jeremybaland But i have to replace the reciever for msr like 3 times about $200

and i have replaced so many servo!

  • Check out my video between Msr and cp pro!

  • CP is much harder to fly.

  • @Jeremybaland it is easier.

  • Amazing miniature bell-hiller mixer. Pity about the fixed collective. Personally I like to have a higher rotor mass when hovering to help with stability (I'm a crap pilot).

  • Really good video! Thank's

I have an R/C Vortex 3 ch, and I can fly it (not really well indoors because I have a small apartment), do you think that the MSR is too big a step? I want a small heli for indoor AND outdoor flight.

  • its great for indoors but if u want something easier go with the blade mcx

  • can u please tell me if the mcx or msr is better

  • The mcx is a coaxial helicopter and better for stable flying....great for beginners. The msr is a fixed pitch (single blade) heli and is faster and better for intermediate flyers. If you have never flown, I would start with the mcx then upgrade to the msr later, although, both fly really well.

  • Great video and plenty of explanation.

just want to add something that you may or may not know.

The swashplate tool was the correct way up but you are ment to slot the top link between the upper arm of the tool.

Realy don't want to pick wholes in a good video but just so newcomers to the MSR know.

  • @ryansmeaton thanks for watching.

  • @joehandsome99 how much does that one cost?

  • Very well done. The magnifying glass segment is beautiful. Maybe a smaller pointer? :-) On the flying segment like all other sky/ground shoots auto balance and aperature can never keep up. Shoot only with trees in view or ground in view. It will take more footage to get finished product but it will be totally pro in the end.

  • hey so would u reccomend upgrading to a 138mah battery or even 150 for this heli or would it not take it?

  • I use the 150mah batteries in my msr's and mcx's and they work great in both. I also insert them all the way in and it doesn't mess the balance up either.

  • This is the best video on youtube ;) How long time u been flying ?

  • Not long enough. lol... Thanks for watching.

  • For purely indoor flying would you recommend the MSR over the MCX? I have watched your videos with those micros, but I am more curious how they do head to head.

  • The mcx is very stable and good for a novice. The msr would be the next step up.

  • Just bought an MSR today. Graduating from my much-loved MCX S300 and CX3.

I absoultely love it! Not a giant leap in handling; just a need for a lighter touch, and a high patience for Newton's Law. A gentle, confident hand is all that is needed.

    Great vid Joe!

  • Hey Eric!

I am a huge fan and I pretty much bought a blade mcx after your review. I love it, and it is my first heli.

I'm wondering, how much more difficult are these to fly compared to the mcx. It took me about 5 flights to get the mcx completely down, and now i'm just refining my flying.

I am not a total noob to flying, having been in the plane crowd for a while, but when it comes to helis, I have had 12 flights.

I probably won't get this until January, so you can take that into account.

  • Continue to practice with the mcx and then in January if you still want to step up then the msr is a good next step for you. Also training with a flight sim will help.

  • Great vid Eric.. looks like I will be tossing my $15 ebay nugget into the bin & looking at one of these.

Eflite should thank you as well!

  • Its a fun heli and a good one to learn fixed pitch flying on.

Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • HI Eric, Thanks for another great video. I went out and bought an MSR after watching your first video and what a great little model for this time of year. I am a typical guy and did not read the instructions so was not aware of the advanced setting.

    Keep em coming

    Kind Regards from the UK

    Martin - Electricflight

  • That is great news.

    You will enjoy it.

    Thanks for watching.

  • is it as durable as the MCX?

  • Yes and it is a blast to fly.

  • Thanks, hoping to get one for christmas! my dad and granddad have MCXs so i hope to have some formation flying!

  • and again nice video! Would be cool if you could do some thing with the Blade CP+ im am beginner and i have one and i want to know more about it^^

  • I have a couple more helis that I plan to review when I get finished with the new shop.

  • I love the blue canopy with the blue LED in it at night. it looks like some oriental lantern, like some glowing lotus thing flying around. real chill.

if it's anything i don't like about the msr is that it gets real hard to see before it gets going far

  • a real good video!!

    Hubinight

  • Hi it is me again, I did not understand the calibaration tool at first, but thanks to your video I got it now.

Great help! That is much appreciated.

  • The calibration tool gives you a quick look to make sure nothing is wrong with the rotor head. Thanks for watching.

  • nice vid Eric, also saw the one of you and Dave Herbert when visiting him, the MSR is a lot or fun for sure. I've been flying airplanes and 6 channel helis but like this one a lot. Is the calibration tool included in the box or did you buy it separately ?

  • The calibration tool is included in the bag with spare tail rotor, flybar and two spare links.

  • Awesome! That is absolutely helpful!

    Thanks so much!

    Kind regards from Berlin.

I lost mine the first day flying in our garden - it just suddenly went over our house and I searched four hours to find it 200 meters away.....nothing happened, it just works fine....

  • dude put a small piece of heat shrink tubing and let it hang off the end of the rear motor just a small piece and dont cover the whole motor or it wont breathe and dont make a cap of the end so the rear motor still breathes and has full protection

  • this video helps realy good

  • oh and btw good video 5/5!

  • i thought this would be soooo awesome :D but the day i got it it would not trim properly and it kept on drifting backwards and slightly to the left. eventually after several crashes it landed on the tail motor and guess what! my tail motor cap popped off and now i gotta hand out another $15 to get a whole new tail! yay what an awesome helicopter (sarcasom)!

  • i have crashed mine more times than i can count and i have yet to break anything. The msr is a very durable heli but accidents do happen, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the msr itself. To avoid something like this in the future...altitude is your friend...it is very difficult to trim close to the ground and you shouldn't trim while in ground effect to begin with. Trim it at about chest to eye level

  • i have all the blades and the msr is the hardest to fly but im a expert im goood at flying actaly im a pro

  • Very nice closeup shots of the rotor head assembly. Keep up the good work.

  • very nice and instructive video.

    saludos desde México.

  • I love mine too. Great review, Eric. 5*

  • i buy this heli

    its very cool to fly

  • Great MSR chopper. You have all the proper skills and clean nails Eric. I'll have to get one of those MSRs'.

  • Great video - just got mine, is it normal for the tail to wag very slightly coming back into the hover?

  • Dude! I really enjoy your vids. Post some more! Soon!

  • does the red calibration tool come with them?

  • yes it does, I got my msr just 5 days ago, I love it much easier to fly than the walkera 4#3b

  • thanks very much! Cant wait for the LHS to get them in!

  • Great job on the review, very useful information, but, still enjoyable to watch. This will help me decide how to move up from coaxials. Just wondering how radical can a fixed pitch heli get? i.e., Will it do any tricks like loops or rolls or is that strictly for the 3d helis? Thanks again for the great review.

  • this is only a fixed pitch heli so normal flight only loops/rolls are not possible with this model if you wanted one that could do loops rolls you would need a collective pitch heli like a esky honey bee king 3 or a esky belt cp v2 :)

  • Well, actually, you can do loops with them, i've seen it done with a custom canopy. It's not pretty though :P

  • Very very cool Eric. You certainly are a great technician and pilot, and pleased to see you didnt hit the photographer!

  • Thanks for showing the advanced swashplate setup. The manual was a bit cryptic but this cleared it up for me. I'm mostly doing indoor flights since it's windy were I live. But when it calms down I'm going to give this a shot!! Awesome little helicopter.

  • just got my E-flite mSR today...its so cool...easy to handle, its not a wild heli...very stable

  • Excellently done video, def top quality

  • i got one of theses 5 days ago and on the 6th flight it exploded, the blades ripped off, it smacked into the ground, broke the landing gear and cracked the feathering spindle. Although i still think its a great heli for beginners, i cant wait to get the parts and start flying again. GREAT VIDEO

  • Great video! I think I should start flying RC's. Haha It sounds pretty cool.

  • Great video!!! How to use that calibration tool?

  • VERY NICE FLYING , good PILOT , GREAT HELICOPTER !!!

    5*

  • Great video. 5 stars.

  • i was thinking of getting a micro fixed pitch heli

which would you recommedn - this heli or the Novus FP?

  • Very nice videos. Great pace, great narration and great video quality. Thanks!

  • Are there any adjustment holes on the servo arms?

  • nice bit of coverage but whether it's my pc set-up or not, the music seems to drown out the verbal report!!???

  • sweet and good thing you did not let me near that one....lol. that one is adorable

  • Great

  • ub3r

  • Nice Flying!!

  • i have one of those

  • nice set of videos for the blade.

I've pre-ordered one and it should be delivered to me within a week of these arriving in Australia. (mid-September I've heard). It'll be my first heli ... stoked

  • This is the first time I have ever seen the new red conopy and and tail empanage... cool stuff, Eric! I just read that there will be a 150mAh 12C battery coming out in the middle of this month. I wonder how much more time that will really and truly add. I guess I will eventually get one of these, but my next target is a Spektrum DX6i or DX7 radio.

  • yay 18th comment nice heli! mod

  • u have a lot of rc things they are really cool

  • thats cool

    good job:) 5 stars

    the helicopter is so cute

  • i love your videos you are cool!

  • Thank you for flying it with the RED canopy. I want a red one now too. : ))))

  • Awesome

  • I like red way better. 5 stars for the redness..lol

  • Now I think I want one!

  • Awesome, great work on the upgrade :-)

  • Great review as always Eric and a top flight there matey and this is one the wish list already but it keeps getting bigger and bigger lol but i will say it's up the top there,i got the PZ vapor yesterday and i'm well happy with it but i did have a couple of little knocks as i could do with a bigger room but i got there in the end ;-) so thanks for the great reviews you and Greg do,5*

  • Another great review. I enjoy watching your videos.

  • Hurray for Eric! Quality video.

Your subscriber list with sky rocket if you continue to do reviews of popular RC products such as the Sukhoi and MSR!

    Keep up the great work.

  • Awesome vid Eric......5 Stars !!!!!

  • I don't know Eric I think this may be the one. That thing really looks sweet!

  • That thing flys realy nice. I like

  • I am not much of a heli pilot but i think that would be a nice new toy for me to play with in the house on windy days..

5 stars on your great work Eric

    GET OUT and FLY!!

    BruceM (BFOAMY)

  • Youtubers can always count on you for a great video Eric. Keep them coming:) 5/5

  • another great video!
