She's giving her opinion, but she's very measured. She doesn't claim to know in which direction her republican party is going. She's hopeful they won't "palinize". They weren't lies, Palin is just trying to spin the story now, just like with the Couric interview. Couric asked her "What newspapers and magazines do you read to stay current?" and Palin is trying to spin that into some sort of commentary on the fact that she lives in Alaska. She's just rewriting history by repeating the same lies until people believe her.
