I bought myself a Kudu a couple of days ago for work and I can say that after 2 days it has already paid for itself. I think it's the best knife anyone could get for under $10. The best thing is, the knife store I bought it from give free knife sharpening for life for new knives they sell. Woot!!
I threw my 35kg Kettlebell on my CS Kudu and it still managed to open and close proficiently like new. Definitely the best single digit knife I ever got. I'm actually glad I bought this knife.
Such is Cold Steel. All of their knives - even the cheap ones- are legendary for their toughness. Seriously. Get their 'Absolute Proof' dvds (they're free) and see for yourself. Amazing stuff.
@hotbarrel49 It's sharp out of the box, but if you actually use it be prepared to sharpen it often (twice a month for me, I use it for dinner, so it cuts ham, hard paste cheese, bread..). One minute on Lansky mini crock sticks, and it's like new again :)
The best $5 knife in my opinion is the Sanrenmu 710. I paid $6 for mine and its a tank of a knife. I prefer it to some 50+ dollar knives. It has perfect design (Chris Reeve Sebenza clone.) A decent steel, solid framelock. I can't say enough good about that knife.
@ATF6281914 you can get it from Sanrenmu's website. however it ships from china. but i'll tell you it's worth the wait. mine took 3 weeks to arrive. it's the best $6 knife on earth. lol. both JWC45 and Cutlerynovice have reviews i believe...
You should have recorded it, I belive you but seeing it would have been sweet. for all i know you could have just droped it in the toilet, lol
