now Imagine zooming out 1 centillion light years. (centillion has 600 zeros), so 1,0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 light years away
jesus! we're only teeny tiny in our own galaxy ! anyone feel daft for the alien jokes lol, tbh make the whole meanin of life not too important either i mean how much more is out there and wil we ever come close to knowing and what would they think of us if they came dont know but im sure they'd b gone pretty quick when they c our core values r to tax and kill and control, wonder if there is an opposite earth out there think ill hold on t that thought
HELP! SPACE ENGINE KEEPS ON SAYING THAT I NEED TO UPDATE OPENGL AND THEN STOPS WORKING! I downloaded the latest display drivers for my computer and space engine STILL stops working and closes when i launch it!!
While I think life is likely to have arisen elsewhere in the Cosmos, it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that any have visited Earth. Furthermore, the chance that we are secretly being visited now is so close to ZERO that to believe so is to do so on FAITH, which IS NOT PERMITTED in science. The distances and energy requirements are far too great.
Pause the video at roughly the 33 second mark. The Milky Way seen from this distance.. just to give you all a idea of how far you would have to travel.. Traveling at the speed of light which is 186,000 miles PER SECOND! would take 100,000 years to see the image you see at 33 second mark..
there are million of planets with freaky things out there except that we cant developed a spacecraft that can travel at the speed of light, we spending more money on killing our own species.
@birthnight yes, or what we believe it to look like. we have looked at many many other galaxies, but we can only guess what our own looks like. it is like going your whole life without a mirror, seeing other faces but never your own.
They actually proved a number of years ago that the Milky Way has only two arms instead of the the four previously believed. I'll have to check Universe Sandbox to see if they show it as two or four now. Hmmm.
@8Zeitgeist "better"? its an worser example of space engine, sure it was made way before space engine but it sucks and you can't zoom out 1.6 billion light years, nor it has procedurally generated planets. so your opinion is invalid, my good sir.
Just think... travelling at the speed of light (300,000,000 m/s), which is the fastest nature will allow a particle to travel before time slows down, it would take 1.6 billion (1,600,000,000) years to get there! And to think trevelling at the speed of light is the fastest we are allowed to travel, therefore 1.6 billion years is the minimum amount of time it will take to get there! That is crazy.
@8Zeitgeist the reason is this, if a civilization is advanced enough to travel from galaxy to galaxy and its at that point, they must have found countless and countless of growing civilizations.
Imagine an ant colony on the side of a highway, the cars on the highway represent the species that is that much more superior, the ants wonder, if there is someone out their "why do they not come to us"
The answer is hidden in your own ignorance, to think that you are of any importance in any way?
@8Zeitgeist of course we have been visited, even Astronaut Buzz Aldrin on apollo 11 admits to a ufo encounter on that trip to the moon.
I mean how much more proof do some people need? An ASTRONAUGHT that was aboard apollo eleven admits to ufo encounter.
Even Former Arizona Governor Fife Symington, that originally denied seeing the mass ufo sighting to save his job, later admits after he severed his term, that he did in fact see it.
Theres no doubt that we have been visited countless times.
@8Zeitgeist we are pretty much of no importance and no use to them, and its sad to say that some people are still asking the same question, "why, why have they not contacted us?"
some people even sugest if we have no importance to them, why wouldnt they overtake our planet?
They never take into consideration that a civilization that has made it to stellar reach, would pretty much require the civilization to b peaceful, otherwise there would have been little chance that they would have made it.
I calculated using a scale that minimizes units into astronimical ones to determine the actual distance of zoom in the video in comparison to what the title stated and I tested this many times before coming to a conclusion, your video only zooms out 1.5403928195898230199928231e billion light years away.

With some improvement on the warpcoils and the shields, we will get that far. in 1,5 milions years with warp 10.

Warp 10 is unavailable, at least in current scale, since that's infinite speed.
