Can't wait to see "The Neverending Story" this Friday night (Nov. 4) on the big screen at the Nuart Theater in West Los Angeles! It's going to be the first time Noah Hathaway (ATREYU) has attended a screening of the film in more than a decade!!!

@waterskippers Ah, deep. Nice. I think that the reason is that things that are opposing are always seen as dangerous, like night is to day, war is to peace, and fatties are to skinny people.

lol I agree even if I was 10 when I saw the second one in the cineama I was still very critical over the fact that nobody looked the same and with all respect with Brandis(RIP) Barret Oliver was much more endearing as Bastian.They shoulnt have made thoses sequels and dont get me started on the third one!!! brrrr! They will allways be one "Neverending Story" and its this one.

The second Neverending Story is definately not as good as the first. I can't believe they didn't use the same actors!

well, lets say, Barret Oliver who playes Bastian in the first one was 10 when they filmed. NES 2 was filmed in 1989, and then would Barret be 16. Okay, Jonathan Brandis who played Bastian in number 2 could look like he was much older. And it was a number 2, so the actors were allowed to grow

Yeah, but they could have picked a kid with the same hair color! Plus, the dad was completely different too - younger, and with a full head of hair. And the dude who played Atreyu in #2??? Worst pick of them all!
In any case, though the sequel was inferior (as are many), it was still a pretty good movie. Shame about Jonathan Brandis (R.I.P.).

Love this movie :). It has a beautiful message about dreams, wishes and hope.
