I'm bald (well pretty bald but I shave it all off) and I used to think the same. I lost it when i was in my early twenties and I thought if I shaved off my hair and didn't have a beard I would look like I had cancer or something, but after a little while, it just becomes part of you. Its who you are, doesn't take anything away. Now when I'm at work and some girl is complemented about their hair, I'll just turn around and say " thanks for noticing, I'm trying a new shampoo!!".
I've tried some chinese herbal stuff and went to the doctors. They havent been able to give me anything effective. Surgery can help, usually they take skin from the back of the neck and graft it in.
A mate of mine had a laser treatment done, cost him £3000 for 6 month treatment and it did help a bit, some of his hair came back but when he stopped, he started losing it again.

I look at it this way, why care about hair at all? When I was in the Army we shaved it all off anyway, and I have so many good memories of friends and good times without hair. Now that I have some hair back, I don't feel worried about having it at all.

Thats a good attitude man, and I respect that, and i've always respected people who joke about their baldness. Hair is 5% of it, and once we like YOU, your hair becomes a turn on no matter what. In other words, WE CHANGE WHAT WE LIKE.
I remember this long hair'd boy I just had to have. We hooked up and the passion was intense and I LOVED his long, flowing hair.

I look at it this way, why care about hair at all? When I was in the Army we shaved it all off anyway, and I have so many good memories of friends and good times without hair. Now that I have some hair back, I don't feel worried about having it at all.

I began balding in my mid-20s and was really insecure about it. But then I began shaving it with a razor and I loved how it looked.
I think I look a lot better being shaved.... and subsequent women I've dated agree.

a big bald spot in the front. I'd look at pictures of him and he's always smiling too and always around women. So, It didn't affect his social-life, maybe even improved it. I love being bald now though. Don't have to worry about hair and big afros to keep up with. I'm 23 and around my age, I still wonder if women would take the account of a bald look and handsome face ( still have some acne scars, but I take care of my skin ).

Thats a good attitude man, and I respect that, and i've always respected people who joke about their baldness. I think it shows a lot of confidence and character, and if you can be a strong enough person to be bald, and say "fuck it im still good looking, I can still get any girl I want", you will approach women, and get turned down, as everyone else does, but that is life. I have a full head of hair, but I can tell it is starting to thin.

It's not that noticeable but one day, in the future i will most likely lose some hair, and whatever, im still going to talk to girls, get shut down the odd time, as i do now. But you don't get laid if you don't try so. It is all in you're head and it is a stupid thing to obsess over.

He's a smart man, i really appreciated the things he had to say. It is really very difficult to make it as an actor if you're losing your hair. You lose probably around 60-70% of roles you could have done when you had hair. But I really respect that he has been able to make a career that does includes his mpb. I hope he can inspire other young men to continue on.

I'm shave my head - first time I had to get really drunk because I was scared. Were all conditioned to believe baldness is weakness.

I actually looked good with and without hair in my youth ( always wore very low haircuts ). People *can* look attractive bald.
Of course, it helps when you're handsome. If an average looking person balds, he becomes uglier. If a strikingly beautiful person loses their hair and decides to shave it entirely they may not look as regal as their follicular counterpart, but are still extremely attractive; far more attractive than an average-looking person with a juvenile hairline.
