I learned so much from QaF.... growing up i never had anything to relate to... living out in the country.... then one day... i turned on the tv... and there it was.... Queer as Folk.... it wasnt until later that i realized that the show was already over and done... but i still did everything i could not to miss those reruns, to feel like i wasnt the onl one out there :D

You know when I saw this show as a kid, when it first came out, I was really enlightened. I was glad that homosexuals were given a chance, and that they really were just humans like anyone else. QAF really made it possible for me to see that, that we're all the same no matter what sexuality or color. Today I've been a proud supporter of gay and lesbian rights and other human rights as well.

I'm Proud to be! I came out at 17, back in 1980. My parents at that time, were Salvation Army officers. My coming out not only took them by surprise but the entire church! I stood up, held my head high and threw open my closet doors and never looked back. For those who are still lingering in theirs, eventually, when the time is right, your own Proud day will come. =)
