dude you save up for and fuck it up very first time you get out on it trust me any honest shop will tell you that you wont anjoy it. its like a ferrari . all want it but no one knows whats it to drive and it is hell when you are not used to it so fricking responsive unbelivable. learn on 125 then 600 then 1000 then the rest you will enjoy it . dont be a knob you will crash it to much to handle
why does everyone compare a busa to a 600 or 1000??? the busa wasnt made for twisties hence the reason its considered a sport touring bike, weighs dang near 200lbs more and is much longer. its like saying my sports car can beat your suv on the track!
@MrBusaBAzz, I agree with u totally. None of my friend could keep up with me staightline nor in the twisties. Now I'm on the Duc, once we get to the twisties I only see them at stop signs when I have to wait on them to catch up.
Not true, my first bike was a 02 Busa back in 02. Had no trouble with it at all. I've upgraded since then with a Duc 1098 all tricked out with pretty much carbon fiber everything. Check it out and tell me what u think.
I absolutely worship this bike..lol.. i cut my teeth on the Katana 600 but it did not take me long to grab this beast for a ride of a life time. Just an amazing piece of machinery.. basically its sex on two wheels..lol.. i can't imagine any other bike surpassing this bike in the near future.
Yeah, that's all the busa is about accel and top speed... Kindof surprises me that you said it had poor brakes tho!! considering the insane speeds it can reach!
im a beginner, not even a beginner because ive never begun in the first place, so basicly i want to ride motorcycle but never have, and i want this bike, alot of people would say its to fast for you, to big for you, im 16 im saving up for this bike at an insurance retailer, so i can get it cheap like $1900 dollars cheap, the front end is messed up i dont even know what that is but with money you can do anything, should i get this bike why or why not? If not which bike should i get
I think if you're just starting to ride motorcycles a 600 or 750 like mine would be a better fit. In fact, I'm selling mine for $7000, as seen in the other videos I have.
Trust me, a hayabusa is not all it's hyped up to be, it's huge, it's bulky, and me myself, I don't really care for it all that much. It's a go fast in a straight line bike. You'll have alot more fun on a 600 or 750, and it'll accelerate a lot like that busa
@theclockkiller ANYONE who says a Busa is a straight line bike is either too scared to take it to the twisties or can't ride properly, I and a lot of Hayabusa Club members EAT R1's, Gixxers etc in the twisties, in 30+ years of riding I've learned it's not about the bike it's about the rider! The funniest comment is when you said that a 650 or 750 will acclerate like a Busa.... WRONG, but it just shows how smooth power delivery on a Busa is, you really have to own a Busa to know what it's about!
@MrBUSABAZZ a good rider on a 600 will go faster in a curve than a rider of equal skill on a hayabusa, it's a big huge bike with a long frame, come on, man, it's common sense, and I see it time and time again, the people you say you ride with that have 600s just don't know how to use those bikes to their full potential. Also, the acceleration with these bikes is very close in the first few gears, I have seen this and also look at the performance numbers on sport rider's website or quarter miles
@Jduc750 I'm just gonna copy and paste what I said to somebody else who said sort of the same thing: the acceleration with these bikes is very close in the first few gears, I have seen this and also look at the performance numbers on sport rider's website or quarter miles. Yeah sure, when you get up to over 150 that's when the difference starts coming in, but for you to say it accelerates nothing like a busa shows you either have never ridden both bikes or just flat out don't know how to ride
@theclockkiller what, the quarter mile and real world riding are nothing alike,. yes 2 professional riders are going to get the best times from each bike on a drag strip. but as for 2 average riders on a 600 and a busa, the busa would clearly win in brute power on acceleration. hence the reason no one in their right mind would suggest one to a beginner!! obviously you are a magazine rider, you know the one who knows all the numbers and lives and dies by stats.... 600 equal to busa.. yeah right
Dude defiently get a hayabusa for your 1st bike. It is the best beginners bike. As soon as you get ride it alot on the highway to break it in, and to go extra fast wear light clothes and no helmet.
Alright man, THANKS ALOT FOR THE ADVICE, im gonna do that. i recently went on a hayabusa, and im not even big enough for the bike bro, i have to stretch out my arms very far and lean in toward the bike, your a fag by the way
@darkwatch1234 dude are you serious are you really telling him to get the kike or just messing with is head.... I'm asking cause i too have a chance of getting one.... only thing that i have a little less than a year of riding.... biggest bike I've ridden is a 600
Don't get anything from insurance auction Most likely it will have an salvage title which means if you are not a dealer you can't get a clear title. How do I know? Because I bought one and got stuck with it. I can't get a clear title because I am not a licensed dealer. So They make you print your name on the salvage title, and guess what you can't even sell it to someone because your name is in salvage title. Fuck that salvage titled bikes. Buy you clear title used bike so you won't loose your $
@ShKitSo starting off on a 1300 you'll be dead withing days if not weeks, start on something small, i'm working my way up, 50.125 getting a 250 this year, then i'll get a 600 after my 2 year license restriction cos im under 21, uk resident here, :) just saying you dont need a crotch rocket
it's just funny to see that's all. my first bike experience was on a Busa so you can imagine my state of mind was no where near yours. i don't fear the bike anymore but i always respect it.
im 11yo and my dad got a busa just a month ago and its extremely fun to ride again... use to have a 06 katana but we had a wreck like 2 weeks before he bought the busa... were all ok!! = )
Everone that wants to start riding bikes, Get a ZXR400. best beginners bike ever.

How the fuck can you ride a busa without gloves..
mad !!!
alzeNL 2 years ago 6
I'v had a busa for 3 years and got tired of it. Poor brakes, to heavy compared to the 1000's.
Got a 2009 R1 now, man that thing is amazing.
Busa's speed and accel are amazing, but the new r1 is so much more fun to ride.
Thanatos789 2 years ago
@Thanatos789 I've heard the late 00's models had massively improved brakes compared to the earlier models?
Anti298 2 years ago
Mine was a 2006, fitted with steel brakelines and better brakepads, stil was pretty horrible compared to the superbikes.
Although '08 and up have new radial brakes, they should be better.
