  • i loved the lens flare at the first HDR

  • Really awesome!!! Just a couple of questions:

    1) Is it correct to define the HDR rendereng as a real-time tone mapping?

    2) Are the backgrounds based on 360-panorama HDRI?

    I must repeated it: AWESOME!

  • The backgrounds are of course an image

  • anyone know the song?

  • xDDD quiet old but with intel e6750 @ 3.2 ghz and 9600gt OC @ 400 fps !!!!!11

  • But then you add polygons and physics and texture into that... and there you go frame rate slump GTA IV land.

  • Far Cry 2 employs brilliant High Dynamic Range lighting in real time when you look at the sun it can be breathtaking

  • It is is also eyesight taking.

  • Not if you believe otherwise. But I'm afraid this is a lot like the pearls in the video.

  • Well if you stare at the sun for too long.

  • looks nice, but where to get it?

  • I'm running it on my GeForce 8600 GT and 5200x2 and 2 gig of ram, and, I am getting 225 FPS :)

  • This is a ATI tech demo for the OLD Radeon 9xxx graphic cards. So this is no surprise^^

  • i tricked my sister into thinkin this was real :D

  • i got a 7900 gtx oc , tiny artifacting which is common for my card , but on this program a stable 100+ fps :D and it looks real

  • This is mostly physically real life accurate. Amazing! wish there's a game like that.

  • There is. Play Crysis

  • well...<_<

    I don't know about that...

  • I ran this on my 4200 x2, a gig of ram and a 7300gt at 50fps.

  • fail comp is fail.

  • how much power is needed to run this app? real time rendering with shaders, tex maps, and reflections? wow

  • I run it on a 1.8 ghz dual core with a 256 nvidia 8600 gt pci-e Yes shit specs but i get a goot 60 fps with all on

  • lol.

  • Games don´t use this HDR that even runs with ps 2.0 cards (you need a ps 3.0 card for better performance and to see all the effects) because is very heavy even for the high end PC of today so they use a similar and less heavy HDR called fp16 HDR that was invented by ILM (Industry light and magic) and only works in ps 3.0/4.0 cards because they support FP16/32 numbers ps 2.0 cards don't.

  • project gotham racing 3 and 4 on xbox 360 uses this HDR

  • I don't think they do, not with the level of complexity that rthdribl can do, not even Crysis have a HDR so complex.

  • no...

  • Believe I got the program too...too bad haven't used it often.

  • Damn.

  • i've tried this program with fx5200 and i got 1.75 fps :D lol

  • LOL

  • my god... we've made it.

  • You definitely have more resources on your computer than I did. Used the same program in my shader & HDR compilation video and it was choppier in recording, but the actual program ran in real time.

  • the last hdri map was MADDDDDDDDD!

  • No - it's a program called rthdribl which is avalible to anyone.

  • Pazzesco!

  • I love rthdrld. It's great. Truely awesome tech.

What song did you use BTW? I love it.

  • Pelican - [untitled]

(track 5 off their album 'Australasia')

  • Crazy :D

  • Hey cool, i accidentally found that program once, and it looks great. I have a super-rig here, so it looks great on a big screen. I wonder why all those games are implementing crappy HDR when it CAN look like this...

  • and some people say ,,you can do it without a computer''^^no way! Great!

  • The program is RTHDRIBL.exe. Google it.

  • It's insane what can be done now, but I have real problems with the whores that wont play a game if it doesn't have all this crap in it, and complain and upgrade all the time. It's an addiction, not a hobby.

  • I agree with you, but the problem with many modern games is that they base alot of gameplay mechanics, storyline and atmosphere around these "advanced" graphics/physics so if you don't have at least a midrange gaming PC spec, your missing out quite alot. Its a worrying trend and I can only see it getting worse. For example, Ghost Recon Advance Warrior was completely unplayable untill I upgraded my PC.

  • @titaniumx3 well that trend has certainly died now, three years later. Now its all about making EASY GAMES :D

  • @majsbullen

has it? A GTX 480 gets 29 fps in Metro 2033, thats a $500 video card, it gets 80 fps in far cry 2.

You'd need 3 GTX 480 cards to run metro smoothly in 3D. Then a 4+ GHz quad core would be the bottleneck.

I want to play that in 3D.. (and full HD, maxed out with DX11) so I'm hoping I can do that properly when I get 2 GTX480 cards, overclock them and maybe add an extra dedicated physX card :D

    Worrying trend? NO! Awesome trend!

  • You need something better than a x1600, 1ghz of ram?! 1Gb of ram more like. This will only need 256Mb if that it's not a huge program it's just click and play no install needed. To get the best out of this program a 7800GT overclocked to something like 450/1100 or more and a AMD 3700+ overclocked to 2.6Ghz or more. I have a this setup (7800GT @ 470/1200, AMD 3700+ @ 2.8Ghz and 1GB of ram) and i can max out this program with the minimum of 35Fps.

  • its really fuckin good but for god sake u need for less a amd 64 3800 2.6ghz and a ati x1600 and some 1ghz ram to see that quality to 800x600

  • im yelling 3ds max 9, animated?

  • Wow

  • what program is that

?? clear quality thats soo cool
