Does not Christianity also exhibit the traits of a cult? Indeed, IS just as much a cult as Scientology? Does Christianity not exploit the susceptibility and fear inherent in the faith to separate parishioners from their money to support "the church"? Does not Christianity also manipulate and magistrate the beliefs of their followers? Why do we not bring as much criticism against Christianity for the same "crimes"?
The main institution of the Church does not force people never to talk to critics or be kicked out off the church and then forced to disconnect with other Christians. It does not force $100,000 to read the book of Genesis. It does not force disconnection to family members who are taking psychiatric medicine. And it doesn't have its own department for the sole purpose of harassing people who disagree with it. The extent of the destructive nature of CoS has passed "normal" and reached criminal.
You should really freshen up on your knowledge on the Catholic Church. They have such policies. Nobody forces you to anything but you should be honest, how many people can make it into higher level of your church?
They have a benign excommunication that is not applied the way disconnection is, nor used as emotional blackmail to stop people from speaking. Am I saying that Catholicism is perfect or guilt free? No. But it's nowhere near the level of Scientology's destructive nature.
Please note, the higher "level" in church refers to management like priesthood. Not levels of "salvation" like CoS.
I have such a problem with organized religion, I am in one. The pope is managerial not a higher level of salvation. All the bible is readily available to the pope as it is to the common catholic. It's also not as difficult as one think it would be. Being an ordained minister is not difficult. Hell, I think there are some parts that allow you get your certificate from the internet.
Congratulations to you should practice your faith a bit more because respect and tolerance are basics in Christian religions. The problem I see with Christianity is no less as with Scientology. Both churches have critics that are fanatic about their cause and most claims against Scientology can be equally found against the Catholic Church. I don't see any Anons protesting them as well.
Germany is very very correct in monitoring this cult..search Scott Mayer, a former Scio Exec who worked with many of the "highly trained OPERATIVES" OF COS.
Germans have the right idea. I like how Scientologists call them a bunch of nazis. And then they stick people in private concentration camps and send secret police after their enemies.

And how many actually become Priests? How many become Pope?
You simply have an issue with organized religion and that is your real problem.

I believe in freedom of speech. I believe people should make up their own minds. Educate, don't censor. Germany is wrong.
